Abstract

This community service program focuses on ensuring equal access to education for SBK through the use of advanced technology. The methodology begins with identifying the specific needs of SBK through observation and interviews to understand the challenges they face, followed by collaboration with the school and technology developers to design suitable solutions. Intensive training on Deep Learning (DL) technology and inclusive teaching strategies is provided to SMK-PPI teachers, introducing concepts such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPT), and image processing to support the learning process. The DL-based learning model is then implemented in classrooms involving SBK, with a focus on personalized learning content and more inclusive teaching methods. Continuous evaluation through data collection from observations, interviews, and surveys demonstrates improvements in student engagement, material accessibility, and learning outcomes for SBK. Based on feedback from both teachers and students, reflections and adjustments are made to ensure the sustainability of this model at SMK-PPI and its potential replication in other schools. This program is expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening inclusive education at SMK-PPI Bandung, ensuring that all students have an equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

Abstract

Abstract

Innovation in science learning is essential to meet 21st-century skill demands and support the achievement of the Education for Sustainable Development Goals (ESDGs). This study aims to analyze the effect of a Project-Based Learning (PjBL)-based Science E-Module integrated with the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach on students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group was employed. The sample consisted of 71 students divided into an experimental group (n = 35), which used the PjBL-STEM E-Module, and a control group (n = 36), which received conventional instruction. Research instruments included tests of critical thinking (CTS) and problem-solving skills (PSS). The assumptions of multivariate normality (Shapiro–Wilk), homogeneity of variance–covariance matrices (Box’s M), and multicollinearity were all met. The MANOVA results revealed a significant simultaneous effect of the treatment on CTS and PSS (p < 0.001). Further univariate tests indicated significant partial effects on CTS (p < 0.001) and PSS (p < 0.001). The mean scores of CTS (Experimental = 80.91; Control = 57.67) and PSS (Experimental = 82.74; Control = 58.47) were significantly higher in the experimental group. Therefore, the STEM-integrated PjBL Science E-Module is effective in improving students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This finding demonstrates that the module serves as a pedagogical innovation aligned with the ESDGs framework and the competencies required for 21st-century education.

Abstract

Indonesia has prioritized stunting reduction through convergence and community-based frontline services, formalized under Presidential Regulation No. 72/2021. Yet stunting progress across villages is uneven, and in some areas prevalence fluctuates sharply, signaling instability in implementation. Peniti Village (Sekadau Hilir District, West Kalimantan) presents a high-variance pattern: stunting prevalence decreased from 15.82% (2021) to 13% (2022), rose dramatically to 36.96% (2023), then fell to 10.42% (2024). This study, adapted from the original thesis, reassesses the effectiveness of Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Posts) in accelerating stunting reduction using Subagyo’s applied effectiveness framework (as operationalized by Budiani, 2007): accuracy of targets, program socialization, goal achievement, and monitoring. A descriptive qualitative design (Danim, 2002; Moleong, 2004; Sugiyono, 2020; Yusuf, 2019) was applied through observation, in-depth interviews with cadres, village officials, Puskesmas staff, and mothers of toddlers, as well as program document review. Findings show Posyandu in Peniti is generally effective and capable of driving rapid improvements when convergence intensifies. However, sustainability is threatened by incomplete targeting of high-risk households, weak cross-sector evaluation routines, and partial digitalization of nutrition surveillance (e-PPGBM). Recent studies increasingly confirm that stable stunting reduction depends on accurate digital growth monitoring, continuous cadre capacity building, and village-level convergence governance rather than routine services alone (Sufri et al., 2024; Syafly et al., 2024; UNICEF Indonesia, 2023). This article contributes a variance-focused effectiveness perspective and a digital-convergence pathway aligned with national policy.

Abstract

This research discusses the empirical historical approach in Islamic studies as one of the scientific methods used to understand Islam not only as a normative teaching but also as a historical phenomenon. This approach examines primary and secondary sources through verification of historical data and critical analysis of the socio-cultural context of a period. In modern Islamic studies, this approach is important because it is able to reveal the historical dynamics of the development of Islamic teachings, institutions and thoughts objectively. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study, with results showing that the empirical historical approach has significant epistemological, methodological, and practical implications. The empirical historical approach in Islamic studies offers a more comprehensive view of Islam as an entity that develops in time and space. This approach does not only focus on theological or normative aspects, but also examines how Islamic teachings are practiced, interpreted and developed according to specific social, political and cultural contexts. By tracing the dynamics of history and using empirical evidence from the past, researchers can describe the transformation of Islamic thought and institutions more objectively and avoid ideological bias. In a methodological context, this approach requires precision in sorting and interpreting historical sources, both primary sources such as manuscripts, official documents, and secondary sources such as the results of previous studies. The data is analyzed critically by considering the socio-cultural background and power relations that influence an event or thought. The results show that the empirical historical approach not only enriches the treasures of Islamic scholarship, but also makes a real contribution in formulating Islamic responses to the challenges of modernity and contemporary social change.
