Abstract

This study aims to determine the Determination of Work Motivation, Leadership, and Training with Work Culture as Intervening Variables on Performance at the Regional Revenue Agency of Batam City. The research method used is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. This descriptive method involves collecting data to test hypotheses or answer questions about people's opinions on an issue or topic. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire instrument which was distributed to 102 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method using SmartPLS version 3 software. The results showed that the effect of work motivation on performance had a P-value of 0.026 <0.05, so it can be stated that the effect of work motivation on performance is significant. The influence of the leadership variable on performance has a P-value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence of leadership on performance is significant. The effect of the training variable on performance has a P-Values of 0.001 <0.05, so it can be stated that the effect of training on performance is significant. The influence of work culture variables on performance has a P-value of 0.025 <0.05, so it can be stated that the influence of work culture on performance is significant. The influence of work motivation variables on work culture has a P-Values of 0.008 <0.05,

Abstract

Locus of Control (LoC) is an individual's perception of the sources that control events in their lives, which are divided into two main categories: internal and external. Individuals with internal LoC tend to have higher performance because they believe that success is influenced by their own efforts and abilities, while individuals with external LoC believe that the results of their actions are more influenced by external factors that are beyond their control, such as fate, luck, situations, or the power of others. This study aims to examine the effect of Locus of Control, responsibility, and job knowledge on organizational commitment with work motivation as an intervening variable at Universitas Batam. The research method used is a causal model survey with path analysis techniques. The study population was 90 employees of Universitas Batam with census techniques. The results showed that Locus of Control had a significant effect on employee performance. These findings provide strategic recommendations for Universitas Batam in increasing organizational commitment through a deeper understanding of internal factors such as work motivation.

Abstract

In this study, researchers used data respondents, such as gender, age and long working respondents to provide information on the characteristics of respondents. The questionnaire was spread over 110. The discussion in this chapter is the result of field studies to obtain data on the questionnaire responses that measure five key variables in the study, namely emotional intelligence, intellectual intelligence, work spirit, work discipline, and employee performance. Analysis of data with parametric and non parametrics statistics using SEM-PLS (structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square) on the research variables, instrument test, normality test, hypothesis test, as well as discussion of the hypothesis test results and path analysis Path. This research uses path analysis to test relationship patterns that reveal the influence of variables or a set of variables against other variables, both direct influences and indirect influences. Calculation of line coefficient in this study assisted with Smart PLS Ver 3.0. To find out the direct and indirect influences between variables then be seen from the calculation result of the line coefficient and to know the significance. The effect of the X3 variable against X4 has a P-Values value of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the effect between X3 against X4 is significant. The effect of the variable X3 against Y has a P-Values value of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the influence between X3 to Y is significant. The effect of X4 to Y variables has a PValues value of 0.005 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the effect between X4 to Y is significant. The effect of the X1 variable against X4 has a P-Values value of 0.017 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the effect between X1 against X4 is significant. The effect of a X1 variable against Y has a P-Values value of 0.045 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the effect between X1 to Y is significant. The effect of a variable X2 against X4 has a P-Values value of 0.021 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the effect of X2 against X4 is significant. The effect of a variable X2 against Y has a P-Values value of 0.019 < 0.05, so it can be stated that the effect of the X2 against Y is significant.
