Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in symbolic thinking in children using the number mortar media at PAUD Oryza Sativa, Kepahiang Regency. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) or also called Classroom action research with the procedure used in the form of a cycle. The subjects of this study were children in group A at PAUD Oryza Sativa, Kepahiang Regency, totaling 20 children. The study was carried out in three cycles. Data analysis was carried out in qualitative and quantitative descriptions with the emphasis being used to determine the increase in the process expressed in a predicate, while quantitative analysis was used to determine the increase in results using percentages. The results of the increase in symbolic thinking skills in children using the number mortar media at PAUD Oryza Sativa, Kepahiang Regency in cycle I with a percentage of 31.87%, in cycle II with a percentage of 51.25%, and cycle III with a percentage of 85.31%. The conclusion of the study is that using number mortar media can improve symbolic thinking skills in children at PAUD Oryza Sativa, as proven in cycle III where there was an increase with a percentage of achievement of 85.31% with the criteria of developing very well (BSB).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of language in children by using story telling activities at PAUD Oryza Sativa, Kepahiang Regency. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) or also called Classroom action research with the procedure used in the form of a cycle. The subjects of this study were children in group A at PAUD Oryza Sativa, Kepahiang Regency, totaling 20 children. The study was conducted in three cycles. The results of improving language skills in children by using story telling activities at PAUD Oryza Sativa, Kepahiang Regency in cycle I with a percentage of 32.81%, in cycle II with a percentage of 56.25%, and cycle III with a percentage of 82.5%. The conclusion of the study is that using story telling activities can improve language skills in children at PAUD Oryza Sativa, as evidenced by an increase in cycle III with a percentage of achievement of 82.5% with the criteria of developing very well (BSB).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' interest in choosing the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program (PGPAUD) at Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu, Class of 2024 Regular Class. The focus of this study is on the factors of attention, curiosity, motivation, and needs that influence students' decisions in selecting PGPAUD. The methodology used is a qualitative approach with in depth interviews of PGPAUD students. The results indicate that attention to early childhood education, curiosity about career prospects, motivation, and self-development needs significantly affect students' decisions to choose PGPAUD. Students interested in this field due to the program offers broad career opportunities and contributes to children's development. In conclusion, students' interest is influenced by these factors, and it is recommended that the university clarify information about career prospects and job opportunities, as well as strengthen the promotion of the PGPAUD study program to attract prospective students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan perkembangan berpikir kritis pada anak dengan metode eksperimen di PAUD Al-Annisa Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) atau disebut juga Classroom action research dengan prosedur yang digunakan berbentuk siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B di PAUD Al-Annisa yang berjumlah 13 orang anak. Penelitian dilaksanakan Tiga siklus. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskripsi kualitatif dan kuantitaif dengan penekananya digunakan untuk menentukan peningkatan proses yang dinyatakan dalam sebuah predikat, sedangkan analisis kuantitatif dugunakan untuk menentukan peningkatan hasil dengan menggunakan presentase. Hasil peningkatan perkembangan berpikir kritis pada anak dengan metode eksperimen di PAUD Al-Annisa Kota Bengkulu pada siklus I dengan presentase 37,5%, di siklus ke II dengan presentase 50%, dan siklus ke III dengan presentase 82,21%. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa menggunakan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan perkembangan berpikir kritis pada anak di PAUD Al-Annisa Kota Bengkulu, terbukti pada siklus ke III terjadi peningkatan dengan hasil presentase pencapaian sebesar 82,21% dengan kriteria berkembang sangat baik (BSB).

Abstract

Project-based learning is one approach used in the Independent Curriculum to increase the active involvement of early childhood children in the learning process. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of project-based learning at Pembina State Kindergarten in Seluma Regency. The method used was descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews, and documentation. The evaluation results indicate that although project-based learning has been implemented, several obstacles remain, such as uneven teacher understanding, limited facilities, and varying parental involvement. Recommendations are provided for improving teacher training, providing learning resources, and strengthening partnerships with parents.

Abstract

This research aims to implement moral and religious values in early childhood. By using qualitative descriptive method. The research target comes from educators and education personnel at KB Gemilang Bengkulu City by looking at the habituation carried out by students and educators in the classroom. Data collection techniques are taken from observation, documentation and interviews. Technical implementation is carried out 15-20 minutes every day before the start of educational activities (primary observation) through lecture methods (explaining concepts), playing, telling stories, singing, modeling, role play, and traveling with material covering religious values such as the introduction of God. The results obtained through these routine activities can foster moral and religious values in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of early childhood learning at Putri Ayu Preschool in Bengkulu City, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that learning planning is carried out through the preparation of a Lesson Implementation Plan (RPP) in accordance with the applicable curriculum. Learning is active, enjoyable, and play-based, despite limited resources. Evaluation is conducted through authentic assessments involving observation, portfolios, and communication with parents. Overall, learning management at Putri Ayu Preschool is well-functioning, but still requires improvement, particularly in the use of technology and collaboration with parents.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of singing-based learning methods in improving the vocabulary of early childhood children at Pembina Negeri 1 Kindergarten in Bengkulu City. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that singing activities significantly improved children's vocabulary mastery. Children appeared more active, confident, and able to use new vocabulary in everyday communication. These findings align with Vygotsky's theory on the importance of social interaction in language development. In conclusion, singing is an effective, enjoyable learning method that is appropriate for the characteristics of early childhood language development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of project-based learning management in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in early childhood at HANG TUA Kindergarten in Bengkulu City. The focus is on activities such as making crafts from recycled materials, a mini-market in the classroom, a buying and selling simulation, and providing simple services. Teachers act as facilitators, motivators, and directors, while parents and senior students act as partners providing guidance and support. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, teacher diaries, and documentation of children's activities. The results indicate that careful planning, participatory implementation, and systematic evaluation can enhance children's creativity, independence, social skills, critical thinking, communication, leadership, and understanding of simple economic values. In conclusion, project-based learning at HANG TUA Kindergarten effectively fosters entrepreneurial competencies, character, creativity, and social skills in early childhood, providing a fun learning experience that is relevant to real life and prepares children for future competency development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of progressive learning to explore the abilities of 5-6-year-old children at Dharma Wanita Persatuan Kindergarten in Bengkulu Province. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the application of progressive learning can holistically improve children's cognitive, language, social-emotional, motor, and creative abilities. Children are actively involved in projects, explorations, discussions, and collaborative activities, enabling them to think critically and creatively, collaborate, express ideas, and develop gross and fine motor skills. The application of this method creates a participatory, contextual, and enjoyable learning environment, thus increasing children's motivation and active participation in the learning process. The research findings confirm that progressive learning plays a significant role in developing children's potential in a balanced and relevant way to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
