Abstract

Teenage pregnancy is public health issue that impacts maternal and infant health, as well as the continuation of adolescent education. This study aims to develop health education module for adolescent pregnant women using the ADDIE model, assess the module's feasibility based on expert validation and user responses, and test its effectiveness in improving the knowledge of adolescent pregnant women. This study uses the ADDIE development model. The research subjects included adolescent pregnant women in Barito Kuala and Banjar Regencies, South Kalimantan. The research instruments consisted of a validation sheet, user response questionnaire, and pre- and post-test questions. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The analysis stage indicated low health literacy among pregnant adolescents. The module design was structured with a content structure including learning objectives, materials, illustrations, and evaluation. Expert validation results showed the module was in the feasible category with several revisions in the form of adding specific content and supporting visuals. The trial on respondents showed an increase in knowledge scores, where the average post-test score was higher than the pre-test (p < 0.05). This indicates the module's effectiveness in improving adolescent pregnant women's understanding of healthy pregnancies.

Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem that affects children's growth and development. Various risk factors, including education, diet, and maternal health, contribute to stunting prevention. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing stunting, focusing on adolescent girls as a vulnerable group. This study used a quantitative analytical approach with a cross-sectional design, conducted in Tabukan District, Barito Kuala Regency, from March to September 2025. The sample consisted of 77 adolescent girls aged 10 to 14 years old, selected based on inclusion criteria. Data were collected through a questionnaire covering knowledge and stunting prevention behaviors, hemoglobin levels, Body Mass Index (BMI), and Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC). Logistic regression analysis was used to identify significant relationships between variables. The results showed Significant relationships were found between knowledge and parenting patterns (p=0.000), physical activity (p=0.031), and diet (p=0.017). Hemoglobin levels were significantly associated with adherence to iron supplementation (IBT) consumption (p=0.000). In Conclusion, Adolescents' lack of knowledge about stunting prevention impacts their parenting, diet, and health. The poor distribution of parenting patterns and low adherence to iron supplementation indicate the need for nutrition education-based interventions.

Abstract

Activities in hospitals have risks originating from physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, psychosocial, and waste factors. Qolbu Insan Mulia Hospital is a health service facility where sick and healthy people gather, which allows work-related accidents and occupational diseases to occur. The laboratory of Qolbu Insan Mulia Hospital is part of the medical support services, which provides hematology, serology, immunology, urine, blood chemistry, drugs, endocrinology, faces, blood transfusion, tumor marker, microbiology, and electrolyte testing services. This study aimed to determine K3 risk management using hazard identification risk assessment and risk control (HIRARC). This research is qualitative research. The techniques used in data collection were field observation, document review, and in-depth interviews. The research results show that in the laboratory there are 17 sources of potential danger consisting of physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, mechanical, electrical, psychosocial, and waste hazards. In conclusion based on a high-level risk level of 71%, medium 23%, and low 6%, while the control efforts are in the form of administration, manipulation, and PPE.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia’s child growth monitoring system, essential for national stunting prevention, still relies on paper-based tools such as the Child Health Card (KMS), which often face challenges of low parental engagement, fragmented data management, and limited health literacy. Existing digital applications primarily function as data logbooks, lacking interactive audiovisual content that can effectively support parents with diverse literacy levels and learning needs. This gap highlights the urgency for innovative health communication strategies that bridge conventional and digital media to enhance participatory learning and improve community-based child monitoring practices. This study developed and evaluated Si BINTANG (Interactive Barcode-Based Growth and Development Information System). This hybrid audiovisual web platform connects a printed child monitoring book with digital content through QR code technology. The application was designed using a user-centered and health communication approach to enhance parental understanding, motivation, and engagement in monitoring their child's growth and development. A preliminary usability evaluation involving experts and mothers of children under five indicated high system quality, usability, and user acceptance, demonstrating positive responses across functionality, accessibility, and user satisfaction. These results suggest that hybrid digital–print integration can enhance health education by making it more interactive, inclusive, and accessible for families, particularly in low-literacy or resource-limited settings. While the findings show encouraging potential, this study acknowledges several limitations, including the small and localized sample size. Future research will focus on large-scale implementation and impact assessment on parental knowledge, behavioral change, and child health outcomes. The Si BINTANG platform represents a promising direction for strengthening family-based stunting prevention through hybrid digital innovation, contributing to Indonesia’s ongoing digital health transformation and community empowerment agenda.
