Abstract

The Tri Kerangka Dasar Agama Hindu is the foundation of life for Hindus which is fundamental. As a reference for the implementation of religion, the Tri Kerangka Dasar Agama Hindu consists of three parts, namely tattva, susila, and ācāra. Morality is the basis of the behavior of a religious person whereas morality itself is the philosophical foundation regarding whether an action must be carried out or not following ethical behavior. The teaching of morality introduces Hindus to ethics, morals, and social ethics. Today there are cases of moral violations in the life of religious people. Indonesia with high heterogeneity visualizes how diverse the hustle and bustle of social society is. Hindus also experience problems within their bodies. Many devotees of various generations touch the Vedas very rarely. Even though reading the Veda is a form of religious literacy. Thus, this research aims to bring the Vedas closer to Hindus regarding their moral teachings in them. The research method in writing this article is the documentation method which explores reference sources from the sacred Vedic literature, both the Sruti Vedas and the Smrti Vedas. In this article one of the Vedic Sruti sections that is referred to is the Rigveda Samhita while in the Veda Smrti, this article refers to the holy book Bhagavad Gita. The result is that there is a crystallization of the two reference sources of Hindu literature, namely: the Value of Honesty, the Value of Unity, and the Value of Self-Control.

Abstract

Acts of violence in a changing society, as occurred in Balinuraga Village, South Lampung Regency, have had a significant impact on national stability. Based on this, the aim of this research is to analyze communication of social conflict between ethnic Lampung and ethnic Balinese in Balinuraga village, Way Panji District, South Lampung Regency.This type of research is qualitative research. Based on the problem investigated, this research is classified as case research, to provide a detailed description of the sources of conflict, impacts and social conflict communication management that are unique to the case. Primary data was obtained from 15 key informants from several ethnicities across generations and religions. The methods used to collect data were participant observation, in-depth interviews, document study, and triangulation. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire sheet. The technique used to analyze data is qualitative descriptive analysis. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively interpretatively by applying conflict theory, conflict management, functional structural theory and communication theory. From the communication perspective, the current research found out that the source of social conflict between Balinese ethnic (Balinuraga) and Lampung ethnic (Agom Village) in 2012 in Way Panji District, was communication could be the source of conflict if communication is influenced by elements of group sentiment. This poor communication has an impact on social conflict in Balinuraga village. The government has handled the consequences of conflict through reconciliation; rehabilitation; and post-conflict reconstruction. Likewise, the people of Balinuraga have also handled conflict through ideological integration and social integration

Abstract

The pandemic storm had succeeded in changing education directed online (into network). Over time, online learning raises various problems that are feared to have implications for children's competence. Moreover, online learning tends to focus on the role of parents as educators at home. Reflecting on this, this research chose schools in Denpasar as a sample to identify the role of parents on children's competencies during online implementation. As an important part of the research, several research objectives were formulated, namely, to find out the implications of the parents’ role on children's competence in the field of spiritual attitudes and social attitudes as a moral (affective) basis, the field of knowledge or children's analytical power (cognitive), and the field of creativity or skills child (psychomotor). By using a research method with a type of qualitative research, this research obtained data from primary and secondary data sources. In terms of determining informants, a purposive sampling technique was used, balanced with several data collection techniques, namely observation techniques, interviews, document recording, and library research. After data was obtained, the, data was analyzed using interactive data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. The results of this research indicated that the role of parents in learning Hindu Religious Education during pandemic in Denpasar city had positive implications for development of children's spiritual attitude competencies, but it had negative implications for development of children's social attitudes, knowledge and skills. So, conclusion of this research was the role of parents in online learning during the pandemic has been going well, but it needs to be optimized so that it has positive implications for the overall development of children's competencies.

Abstract

Education is one aspect of life that receives extra attention for the progress of a nation. Indonesia is no exception, which is currently still making great efforts to improve the quality of its education. One of the efforts that has been made by Indonesian people is to implement a new curriculum called Merdeka Curriculum. However, as long as its existence, there were still many schools and teachers who need guidelines to implement it optimally. Based on these problems, it was very appropriate to conduct a study with the title Implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Learning Hindu Religious Education and Ethics at the Junior High School level in Bangli Regency. The aim of this research was to describe the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in the learning planning stage, learning implementation stage, and learning evaluation stage. Through qualitative research methods with a descriptive naturalistic approach. The results of the research showed that, firstly, at the learning planning stage, the form of implementation of the Merdeka curriculum is carried out in several ways, including: 1) Holistic deepening of Merdeka curriculum, 2) Selection of the independent option to change as a reference for Merdeka curriculum, 3) Preparation of teaching modules based on Merdeka curriculum , 4) Preparing a variety of teaching materials, 5) Preparing a variety of learning media, and 6) Designing formative and summative assessments. Second, at the learning implementation stage, the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum is carried out in several ways, including: 1) Providing initial diagnostic assessments to determine student diversity, 2) Implementing differentiated learning, 3) Applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model, and 4) Application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Discovery Learning (DL) learning models. And thirdly, at the learning evaluation stage, the form of implementation of the Merdeka curriculum is carried out by implementing a combination of formative and summative assessments.

Abstract

To build up a tolerant character on student is an important aim in the education world because it will be related to the output of the students that are expected by all parties, especially parents. One of the ways to build up a tolerant character is through schools, schools are part of efforts to improve the education of human tolerance from an early age. Such as Vocational High School or SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan), one of them is Vocational High School 1 Denpasar which placed in the center city of Denpasar, in which the students are not only Hindus, but there are Christianity, Moslem, etc. Therefore, tolerance and respect between each other are needed to support the tolerance between religions; then, the role of the teacher is very important in this case because the teacher can build up the character of students in order to have a tolerant character in the school and in the social community later on . The role of Hindus teachers in developing the tolerance character of student, namely through intracurricular activities and extracurricular activities. Both of these activities have a main contribution in the development of the tolerance character of students. The obstacles faced by Hindus teachers in developing the tolerance character of the students are caused by two factors: the first, the internal factor or innate factors, students interest, and emotional that are natural and innate from within students. The second is the external factors (family, school, community, and mass media) based on the outside of students.Thus, the students must be able to sort themselves out and be balanced by the attention of parents and schools so that these obstacles not interfere with the development of the student's character. The efforts made by Hindus teachers to solve these obstacles in developing the tolerance character of studets at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar are carried out by applying the 3 S Attitude (Senyum, Salam dan Sapa), the habbit of some activities in the classroom, developing the learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Audio visual media is a tool that has sound and image elements that are used to convey a message, this study focuses on describing the use of audio visual media in learning Hindu religion and character education at SMP Negeri 2 Bangli, with the aim of increasing student interest in learning. Discussed, namely, (1) the form of using audio visual media in learning Hindu religious education and character education, (2) obstacles experienced in the use of audio visual media in learning Hindu religious education and character education, (3) efforts made to overcome obstacles in the use of Audio Visual Media in learning Hindu Religion and Moral Education. This study aims to determine the process of using audio-visual media, the obstacles and efforts made by teachers, students and the school. This problem is studied by using the theory of Cognitive, Convergence and Behaviorism. The research subjects were teachers and students of class VII. This study uses data collection techniques, namely by observation, interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The data obtained were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. Based on research and data analysis that (1) the process of using audio-visual media is quite good (2) the obstacles faced in the use of audio-visual media include the constraints of teachers, students and infrastructure, (3) efforts to overcome obstacles to the use of audio-visual media that occur there are three , namely the efforts of teachers, students and the school. It can be understood that the use of audio-visual media in learning Hindu Religion and Moral Education at SMP Negeri 2 Bangli is of good quality based on problem analysis with the theory used in this study. Abstract

Intolerant attitude is a challenge for an environment that has heterogeneous patterns in it. As happened in Indonesia, where historically there have been several cases of intolerance that even targeted the world of education precisely in schools. On this basis, it is important for teachers to make efforts in developing moderate attitudes in students from an early age, as done by Hindu Religious Education and Ethics teachers at SD Saraswati 6 Denpasar. However, in this effort, it is known that there are several obstacles faced by teachers. Reflecting on this, this study is interested in identifying the obstacles and efforts of Hindu Religious Education and Ethics teachers in developing moderate attitudes of students at Saraswati 6 Denpasar Elementary School. In this study, several problems are formulated, namely related to the obstacles faced by teachers and teachers' efforts to overcome the obstacles being faced. The research method in this paper uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive naturalistic approach, primary and secondary data sources, the technique of determining informants is purposive sampling, data collection methods that use observation techniques, interviews, document recording, and literature studies, and using data analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that some of the obstacles faced during online learning are obstacles in terms of teaching materials, learning methods, assessment tools, and time allocation. The results of this paper are expected to be a guide for Hindu Religious Education and Ethics teachers and other teachers to know the obstacles and efforts that can be made to develop moderate attitudes in students.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Yajña atau korban suci yang dilakukan oleh umat Hindu di Bali merupakanrealisasi dari ajaran Tri Rna yang melahirkan Panca Yajña yaitu lima korban suci yang tulusikhlas. Upacara Yajña dalam pelaksanaannya tergantung dari upacara yang di yang dipersembahkan di daerah tersebut. Seperti yang di laksanakan di Desa Pakraman Selat,Kecamatan Selat, Kabupaten Karangasem yaitu Upacara Barong Celeng Ngusaba DesaPurnama Sasih Kesanga, dalam struktur upacara Yajña Upacara Barong Celeng termasukkedalam pelaksanaan upacara Dewa Yajña. Upacara Barong Celeng dilaksanakan di Pura BaleAgung. Upacara ini merupakan tradisi keagamaan yang dilaksanakan setiap Purnama SasihKasanga. Rumusan masalah yang terkandung yaitu (1) Mengapa Upacara Barong Celengdilaksanakan Pada Ngusaba Desa Purnama Sasih Kasanga di Desa Pakraman Selat KecamatanSelat Kabupaten Karangasem;(2) Bagaimanakah Proses Upacara Barong Celeng Pada NgusabaDesa Purnama Sasih Kasanga Di Desa Pakraman Selat Kecamatan Selat KabupatenKarangasem;(3) Bagaimanakah Implikasi Pendidikan Agama Hindu yang terdapat dalamUpacara Barong Celeng pada Ngusaba Desa Purnama Sasih Kasanga Di Desa Pakraman SelatKecamatan Selat Kabupaten Karangasem. Penelitian ini bertuan untuk mengetahui (1) alasandilaksanakan Upacara Barong Celeng Ngusaba Desa Purnama Sasih Kesanga (2) mengetahuiproses Upacara Barong Celeng Ngusaba Desa Purnama Sasih Kesanga (3) mengetahuiImplikasi Pendidikan Agama Hindu pada Upacara Barong Celeng Ngusaba Desa PurnamaSasih Kesanga. Permasalahan tersebut diatas dikaji dengan beberapa teori, yaitu teori Religimenurut Koentjaraningrat, teori Fungsionalis Struktural menurut Robert Nisbet, teoriBehaviorisme menurut Burrhus Frederic Skinner. dengan pengumpulan data melalui,wawancara, dokumentasi, kepustakaan, serta dianalisis menggunakan Teknik deskriptif kualitatif dengan Langkah-langkah reduksi,penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasilpenelitian ini meliputi : (1) Alasan upacara Barong Celeng dilaksanakan pada ngusaba desapurnama sasih kasanga, memiliki alasan Historis yaitu keyakinan masyarakat desa pakramanselat terhadap upacara Barong Celeng yang sudah dilaksanakan secara turun temurun, Filosofisyaitu kepercayaan masyarakat desa pakraman selat akan tujuan dari pelaksanaan upacaraBarong Celeng, Religius yaitu keyakinan masyarakat desa pakraman selat terhadappelaksanaan upacara Barong Celeng yang dilaksanakan pada Ngusaba Purnama Sasih Kasangamemiliki arti hasil ladang dan masyarakat selalu damai,tentram dan harmonis dan Psikologisyaitu masyarakat desa selat akan merasa tenang jika sudah melaksanakan upacara BarongCeleng (2) Proses upacara Barong Celeng dilakukan beberapa tahapan diantaranya tahappersiapan di awali dengan membunyikan kulkul pukul 7 wita tempatnya di Bale Agung yang dikordinasikan oleh Kelihan Juru, tahap inti setelah sarana upakara selesai dipersiapkan maka dilanjutkan dengan melaksanakan upacara nyatur desa, dimana menghaturkan banten dilakukanpada empat arah mataangin yang di mulai dari barat,selatan,timur dan terakhir diutara sebagaipusat pelaksanaannya barong celelng dan tahap akhir saye membawa Barong Celengberkeliling sebanyak tiga kali kemudian kembali ke pura bale agung dan Barong Celengtersebut dibuka dan di lempar ke atas natar bale agung sampai jejeg, (3) Implikasi pendidikanagama Hindu yang terdapat dalam upacara Barong Celeng diantaranya yaitu ImplikasiPemahaman Religi Keagamaan, Implikasi Pemahaman Sosial Keagamaan, ImplikasiPendidikan Karakter Hindu

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring adalah pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara online dengan menggunakan jaringan internet. Pembelajaran daring digunakan karena pandemi Covid-19 membuat aktivitas di bidang Pendidikan khususnya pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti menjadi terbatas. Guru pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti juga dituntut untuk mampu mengaplikasikan serta menyusun strategi dan metode pembelajaran agar pembelajaran daring dapat terlaksanasecara efektif dan efisien. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk menggali tentang Pembelajaran Daring Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 dalam Mata Pelajaran Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti di SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan Pembelajaran Daring Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Dalam Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti Di SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Kognitif dari Bruner, teori Behavioristik dari Edwin Lyn Thorndike. Metode yang yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah metode obsevasi, metode wawancara, metode dokumentasi, dan metode kepustakaan. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan langkah-langkah reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Pembelajaran daring guru melakukan tiga langkah yaitu Persiapan, Pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi dalam pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti. (2) terdapat hambatan eksternal dan hambatan internal dalam pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan budi pekerti di SMP Negeri 12 Denpasar. (3) upaya meningkatkan pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti yakni dengan adanya kerja sama antara pihak sekolah atau guru, siswa dan orang tua siswa.

Abstract

Ajaran Catur Paramita sangat mulia diimplementasikan menjadi pedoman yang kuat dalammenumbuhkembangkan karakter, agar siswa dapat membedakan perbuatan yang baik danburuk, kontribusi ajaran ini pun sangat dibutuhkan terutama dalam aspek menstabilkan sifatemosional siswa dengan lebih mengedepankan sikap pengendalian diri. Teori yang digunakandalam penelitian ini adalah teori peran, menurut Biddle dan Thomas serta teori Behaviorismemenurut Gagne dan Berliner Teknik penentuan informan yang peneliti gunakan adalah teknikpurposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah hasil observasipartisipasi pasif, wawancara terstruktur, studi dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkanobservasi dan hasil wawancara bersama informan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan Peranan guruagama Hindu dalam pengimplementasikan ajaran Catur Paramita terhadappenumbuhkembangan karakter siswa di SD Negeri 5 Batubulan Kecamatan SukawatiKabupaten Gianyar adalah (1) transformer dalam implementasi ajaran Catur Paramita yangmemberikan pemahaman tentang ajaran Maitri, Karuna, Mudita, dan Upeksa, (2) modelingdalam implementasi ajarana Catur Paramita, (3) pengawas dalam implementasi ajaran CaturParamita dan (4) evaluator dalam implementasi ajaran Catur Paramita. Kendala yang dihadapioleh guru agama Hindu dalam mengimplementasikan ajaran Catur Paramita terhadappenumbuhkembangan karakter siswa di SD Negeri 5 Batubulan Kecamatan SukawatiKabupaten Gianyar berasal dari (1) kendala internal yaitu faktor bawaan, faktor emosional, danfaktor minat. (2) Kendala eksternal yaitu lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah, lingkunganmasyarakat, dan media massa. Upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru agama Hindu untukmengatasi kendala dalam mengimplementasikan ajaran Catur Paramita terhadappenumbuhkembangan karakter siswa di SD Negeri 5 Batubulan Kecamatan SukawatiKabupaten Gianyar adalah (1) Memberi pemahaman tentang ajaran Catur Paramita, (2)Optimalisasi aktivitas ajaran Catur Paramita dan (3) Menjalin Komunikasi yang Harmonisdengan orang tua dan siswa.
