Abstract

As a leader, the head of the madrasah has a strategic role in making efforts to develop the quality of madrasah education, especially in the aspect of teacher competency development. In carrying out his role, the head of the madrasah must identify the needs of teacher competency development by making a development plan that is in accordance with the needs of teachers and the madrasah in order to create optimal improvements. This study aims to determine the efforts of the head of the madrasah in improving teacher competency and to reveal the effectiveness of efforts on teacher competency at MTs Madaniyah Gunung Silanu. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the efforts made by the head of the madrasah in improving teacher competency at MTs Madaniyah Gunung Silanu are creating training programs, involving teachers in MGMP activities, supervising and providing motivation. The effectiveness of some of these efforts is improving teachers' abilities in designing learning, developing teachers' mastery of teaching materials, training teachers' social skills and improving teacher discipline.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that highlights the effectiveness of the role-playing method in Islamic Religious Education learning in class VIII.8 of SMP Negeri 30 Makassar. The main focus of this study is to improve students' learning motivation. The research sample consisted of 31 students (17 males and 14 females). Data collection was conducted through participant observation and a structured questionnaire consisting of 16 items. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' learning motivation after the implementation of the role-playing method. The average score of the questionnaire in cycle II (1,921 points, 77.45%) was significantly higher than that in cycle I (1,592 points, 64.19%). This finding shows the effectiveness of the role-playing method in improving students' learning motivation in the context of Islamic Religious Education learning. Further research is recommended to explore the generalization of these findings to other classes and subjects, as well as to identify contextual factors that contribute to improving learning motivation.

Abstract

This study investigates how the application of reward and punishment methods on the learning motivation of class XII.4 Islamic Religious Education students at SMA Negeri 11 Wajo. The reward method, in the form of praise and gifts, is given as an appreciation for learning efforts and achievements. The punishment method, which is educational in nature, is applied as a consequence of irresponsible behavior, not as a punishment that is detrimental. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning motivation after the method was implemented. This can be seen from the increase in student enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning. Based on the questionnaire data, student learning motivation increased from 56.67% (pre-cycle) to 61.35% (cycle I) and 75.94% (cycle II). In conclusion, the reward and punishment method has proven effective in increasing student learning motivation in the subject of Islamic Religious Education in class XII.4 SMA Negeri 11 Wajo.

Abstract

The role of the principal is very important in improving the quality of education through improving teacher performance. Therefore, this study uses a qualitative approach (case study) at SMPN 29 Satu Atap Malaka, Maros Regency, to describe the principal's strategy in achieving these goals. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study show how well the principal's plan succeeded in improving teacher performance. The approach succeeded in improving teacher discipline, creativity, and responsibility by offering incentives and rewards, supervision and evaluation, professional development, and a supportive work environment. This study concluded that the three key elements of transformative principal leadership, effective interpersonal communication, and cooperative support from all school stakeholders have a significant impact on the success of implementing teacher performance improvement techniques. These results have significant consequences for the creation of a school leadership model that focuses on improving teacher performance sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of school culture and extracurricular activities on the character formation of class X students at SMA Negeri 7 Makassar. The research method used is a quantitative correlational approach to measure the relationship between school culture and extracurricular variables (X) with student character (Y). The study population consisted of 355 class X students, with a sample of 78 students selected using the technique purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis included instrument validity and reliability tests, as well as analysis prerequisite tests (normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests) before hypothesis testing was carried out. The results showed that the level of school culture, extracurricular activities, and student character were in the moderate category. Inferential analysis using the t-test and F-test showed a significant influence between school culture and extracurricular activities on student character. The t-test shows the calculated t value for the school culture variable (X1) of 4.259 (p <0.05) and for the extracurricular variable (X2) of 2.191 (p <0.05), exceeding the t-table value of 1.992. The F-test shows the calculated F value of 25.941 (p <0.05), which is greater than the F-table value of 3.119, indicating a significant influence of both variables simultaneously. Based on the results of the analysis, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This study concludes that there is a significant influence between school culture and extracurricular activities on the formation of character of class X students at SMA Negeri 7 Makassar.

Abstract

The Strategies of Islamic Education Teachers in Implementing the Independent Curriculum in Learning at SD Inpres Kampus Unhas, Tamalanrea Sub-district, Makassar City. This research aims to: (1) examine the strategies for implementing the Independent Curriculum in Islamic education learning at SD Inpres Kampus Unhas; (2) assess the effectiveness of the Independent Curriculum application in Islamic education learning for students at SD Inpres Kampus Unhas. This study is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed through three stages: (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion drawing and verification. The validity of the data was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The observed sources include Islamic education teachers, the school principal, and students of SD Inpres Kampus Unhas. The findings of this study indicate that: (1) SD Inpres Kampus Unhas applies flexible planning, implementation, and assessment in learning using interactive methods and differentiation to meet students' needs. This is supported by formative and summative assessments for evaluation. Despite challenges, teacher collaboration and adaptability are key to successful learning. (2) The Independent Curriculum is effective in enhancing student engagement through interactive methods and differentiated approaches, although challenges remain in addressing students with learning difficulties. Overall, the curriculum fosters inclusive and adaptive learning environments. This indicates that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum can improve the quality of education by creating inclusive, adaptive, and student-centered learning environments. Despite the challenges, the flexible and collaborative approaches employed enhance student engagement and learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas Tentang Tradisi Massolo dalam Perkawinan Masyarakat Bugis Dalam Perspektif Syariat Islam (Studi kasus Di Kec. Panca Lautang Kab. Sidenreng Rappang, tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Bentuk Tradisi Massolo dalam Perkawinan Masyarakat Suku Bugis Kec. Panca Lautang, Ksb. Sidenreng Rappang dan Perspektif Syariat Islam Tentang Tradisi Massolo pada Perkawinan Masyarakat Suku Bugis Kec. Panca Lautang, Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif, metode pengumpulan data yakni dengan cara observasi, wanwancara, dan dokumentasi, sumber data yang di gunakan yakni data primer dan data sekunder, penelitian ini dilaksanakan wilaya di Kec. Panca Lautang, Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertama, Bentuk-bentuk Tradisi Massolo yang ada di Kecamatan Panca Lautang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang antara lain, Passolo berbentuk barang seperti bahan pokok, berbentuk uang, dan Massolo online/Undangan online. Dan yang kedua adalah tradisi Massolo dalam perspektif syariat Islam dapat diterima, mengingat Islam menganjurkan kita untuk saling membantu, berbagi serta menghadiri undangan sesama masyarakat. Praktik tradisi Massolo yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Bugis di Kec. Panca Lautang, Kab. Sidenreng Rappang, tidak bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip ajaran Islam.  namun Tradisi Massolo dikenal sebagai bentuk sumbangsi dan rasa saling tolong menolong antara sesama masyarakat yang melaksanakan acara pernikahan atau acara hajatan lainnya

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh motivasi dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas XI di SMAN 2 Maros. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan 125 siswa kelas XI sebagai populasi dan sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji T, dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi dan gaya belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang (90% dan 87%). Hasil belajar juga berada pada kategori sedang (92%). Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan antara motivasi dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar. Uji T menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan (p<0.05) baik motivasi intrinsik (M1) dan ekstrinsik (M2), maupun gaya belajar visual (X1), auditori (X2), dan kinestetik (X3) terhadap hasil belajar (Y). Uji F juga mengkonfirmasi pengaruh signifikan secara simultan dari kedua variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis alternatif diterima dan hipotesis nol ditolak. Kesimpulannya, motivasi dan gaya belajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas XI di SMAN 2 Maros.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang peneran budaya sekolah dalam pengembangan karakter di MTS As'adiyah Dapoko. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter terintegrasi dari berbagai aspek struktural. Pemanfaatan unsur-unsur fungsional struktural dalam menyelenggarakan pendidikan karakter menjadi upaya dalam melakukan pengawasan dan bimbingan terhadap perkembangan budaya madrasah dalam hal ini berkaitan dengan internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter terhadap warga madrasah, terkhusus pada objek pendidikan yaitu peserta didik. MTS As'adiyah Dapoko yang meliputi perilaku warga madrasah, tradisi, kebiasaan keseharian dan simbol-simbol budaya juga dapat dikatakan sejalan dengan rumusan dari visi,isi dan tujuan madrasah atau pun dengan upaya madrasah dalam membangun budaya yang positif. Perilaku warga madrasah telah diterapkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang membudaya akibat pengintegrasian ke dalam setiap aktivitas keseharian dan tradisi warga madrasah melalui upaya pembiasaan. Selain itu budaya madrasah dalam perspektif pendidikan karakter juga terdapat pada hasil budaya yang menjadi simbol-simbol berupa penataan gedung dan ruangan kelas dan pakaian seragam warga madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X di SMK Negeri 6 Enrekang. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tugas dan fungsi guru PAI serta upaya mereka untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder dari kepala sekolah, guru PAI, dan siswa kelas X. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tugas guru PAI di SMK Negeri 6 Enrekang lebih dari sekadar mengajar, mendidik, dan mengevaluasi. Mereka juga berperan dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan membaca Al-Qur'an, melaksanakan kegiatan keagamaan sekolah, dan menjadi teladan bagi siswa. Untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, guru PAI menerapkan beberapa strategi. Sistem penghargaan diberikan untuk mengakui prestasi siswa. Berbagai metode pembelajaran, seperti ceramah, sesi tanya jawab, dan diskusi, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menarik dan interaktif. Penggunaan media pembelajaran modern, seperti proyektor dan bahan ajar digital, juga mendukung pemahaman siswa. Secara keseluruhan, studi ini mengungkap peran penting guru PAI dalam membentuk karakter dan meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa melalui pendekatan yang komprehensif dan inovatif. Strategi yang diterapkan terbukti efektif dalam memotivasi siswa untuk belajar.
