Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of Al-Kitab Al-Asasī fi Ta'līm Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Li Ghair Al-Nāthiqīna Bihā to evaluate its alignment with Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah's theoretical standards for Arabic textbooks. The analysis focuses on presentation, language, culture, exercises, and supplementary materials. This study uses a qualitative approach, content analysis, and library research with documentation techniques for data collection. The findings reveal that the book aligns with Thu'aimah's criteria, demonstrating strengths in presentation, linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and exercise quality, making it suitable for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. This research highlights the importance of adhering to established standards in textbook development to create effective learning materials. The implications suggest that educators and curriculum developers should prioritize compatibility with theoretical frameworks to enhance language instruction. Future studies could expand this analysis to compare multiple Arabic textbooks, explore the effectiveness of these standards in classroom settings, and assess how digital adaptations of textbooks can complement traditional methods. Additionally, integrating student feedback into textbook evaluation could provide deeper insights into user-centered design in language education.

Abstract

The use of non-varied methods in teaching Arabic vocabulary to the students of Ma'had Lughawy has made it difficult for them to understand and master Arabic vocabulary. This research aims to improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary among the students of Ma'had Lughawy Kelas Mubtadi through the Drill and Practice method. This study employs a classroom action research design with two cycles. Data were collected through observations, tests, and interviews. The results indicate that the Drill and Practice method is effective in improving the mastery of Arabic vocabulary among the students of Ma'had Lughawy Kelas Mubtadi. This is evidenced by the increase in vocabulary test scores, observations showing the students' active participation and enthusiasm, and positive feedback from the students regarding this method.

Abstract

في المدرسة السلفية الفلاحية مشاكل أساسية، أحدها أن هناك مشاكل كثيرة في مهارة الكلام، ويمكنها بسبب عدم وجود تحسن في الكلام باللغة العربية. الغرض من هذا المقال هو معرفة وتحليل مشاكل تعليم اللغة العربية فيما يتعلق بمهارة الكلام. الطريقة المستخدمة في هذا البحث هي الطريقة الوصفية النوعية. أما أسلوب جمع البيانات فهو عن طريق الملاحظة والمقابلات والتوثيق. وأظهرت نتائج هذا البحث أن هناك العديد من العوامل التي تؤثر على ظهور المشكلات في مهارة ا الكلام ، منها تقسيمها إلى جانبين، جوانب لغوية، وجوانب غير لغوية. وتشمل الجوانب اللغوية جوانب علم الأصوات والمفردات والنحو وبنية الجملة، وتشمل الجوانب غير اللغوية دوافع التعلم والمرافق والبنية التحتية والأساليب المستخدمة والبيئة اللغوية. إن ظهور مشكلة واحدة سيؤثر على ظهور مشاكل أخرى، ولهذا السبب، وبصرف النظر عن المشاكل التي تنشأ داخلياً من الطلاب، يحتاج المعلمون أيضاً إلى الاهتمام لمواصلة زيادة الابتكار والإبداع في دعم نجاح وإنجاز عملية التعلم باستخدام وسائل الإعلام. والمرافق والبنية التحتية التي تم توفيرها.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate community members' skills and comprehension in reading Arabic news before and after they used audio-visual media. The theoretical underpinning of this study is the idea that exposure to audio-visual materials will enhance one's news reading skills. The researchers' theory states that people interested in reading the news through audio-visual media have improved their news-reading skills. The method used in this research was a quasi-experimental method with a one-group design based on pre-test and post-test. The population in this study covered all members of the news reading community, totalling 20 students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This research used quantitative data analyses of pre-test and post-test results using the Lilioforce equation. One of the present study’s results showcased that prior to employing the audio-visual media, the members of Arabic Language Teaching Division's news-reading mission had a poor level, as seen by the average score of 68.3. Their grade after utilizing it was good, as evidenced by the average score of 87.2. According to the interpretation criterion, the result of (N-D) was 0.60 or 60% in a moderate classification. Therefore, these results indicated that the audio-visual method effectively improved news-reading skills. This study suggests future’s research to assess the other foreign language proficiency in greater detail using a wider range of research techniques.

Abstract

The aims of the article to develop Arabic language teaching materials based on the complementarity between science and relevation for students of the Department of Mathematics and Science. This research used the research and development approach using Dick and Carey's development model that was modified by Lawrence Cunning Ham. The method to obtain the data used in this research is observation, questionnaire, interview and test. The educational material development model has been modeled in light of the complementarity between science and revelation, evident in two places: Firstly, in defining the educational objectives and educational outcomes that include attitudes, knowledge and skills, and secondly in defining the teaching materials related to mathematics and the natural sciences, and for those subjects and Hay Dal (Qur’anic verses) in them. The development model in this research is called Teaching Arabic for Special Purposes. The results of the research are evident from all the results of students in the four academic divisions in education, which indicate a high rate of over 0.70 (70%).

Abstract

This study evaluates a streamlined approach to Arabic grammar instruction designed to help university students master Qirâ’at al-Kutub. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to explore the effectiveness of a simplified Arabic grammar teaching method in facilitating mastery of Qirâ’at al-Kutub. The simplified method addresses challenges in traditional teaching, improving comprehension and application of grammar in classical texts. Using pre-test and post-test analysis, the study recorded a 20% increase in average scores (65% to 85%) and significant reductions in fi'il mudhâri' errors (40% to 10%) and i’râb errors (50% to 15%). The method proved particularly effective for students struggling with conventional approaches, with 86% reporting improved confidence and comprehension. However, participants also highlighted the need for additional resources (82%) and support for complex texts (68%). This research offers a practical, inclusive solution to Arabic grammar instruction, fostering critical reading skills and deeper engagement with linguistic heritage. Future studies should explore digital tools, interactive platforms, and longitudinal impacts to refine and expand this approach in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This study examines the trends in research on Arabic writing skills from 2011 to 2024 using a bibliometric approach. Data from 32 Scopus-indexed publications were analyzed to identify citation trends, geographical distribution, journal rankings, and research focuses. Data collection techniques included comprehensive searches in bibliographic databases, and data analysis was conducted using bibliometric methods such as citation analysis and co-authorship network analysis. The results show a significant increase in related publications, highlighting the importance of communicative approaches and international collaboration in enhancing writing skills. Specifically, the highest number of cited publications (NCP) occurred in 2020, with an NCP of 6. The highest number of citations from 2011 to 2024 was recorded in 2020, reaching 28. Additionally, 2020 had the highest number of publications, totaling 7, indicating a significant impact of research during that year. Saudi Arabia is the most significant country in research related to writing skills in Arabic. Furthermore, the study categorizes research focuses into three main clusters: students, e-learning, and supporting technologies for Arabic language learning. These insights provide a valuable framework for educators and researchers, guiding future research directions and developing more effective and inclusive teaching methodologies that cater to diverse learning needs. The study concludes that fostering international collaboration and leveraging advanced technologies are essential for the continued enhancement of Arabic writing skills education, ensuring that learners are well-equipped to meet contemporary challenges and advancing the field in a meaningful way.

Abstract

Reading skills are one of the language skills in learning Arabic after speaking skills. Maharah qiraah is the ability to read Arabic texts fluently, in accordance with the correct pronunciation of letters, vowels, and Arabic grammar, and to understand the content of the texts accurately. However, many problems are encountered by students when learning Arabic as a foreign language in Indonesia. This study aims to identify the factors that cause difficulties in reading Arabic texts among fifth grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Mursyid. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a population of 17 students, and the sample used in this study is a total sample. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Mursyid in Cicaheum, with data sources including fifth grade students and Arabic language teachers. The results of the study indicate that the factors causing difficulties for fifth grade students in reading Arabic can be classified into four categories: linguistic factors, non linguistic factors, internal factors, and external factors.

Abstract

Problematics in Arabic language learning is a very important aspect to know in order to achieve the objectives of Arabic language learning effectively, this study aims of identifying and analyzing the problematics of learning maharah qira'ah (reading skills) in Arabic language learning at Insan Kreatif School from a non-linguistic point of view. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with an analytic descriptive approach with (case study), data collection techniques in this study are observation, interview, and documentation. This study found that in addition to linguistic factors, there are a number of non-linguistic factors that play a significant role in the difficulties faced by students. These factors include low student motivation, lack of support from the family environment, limited supporting facilities and infrastructure, and the use of learning media that has not been optimized. Through observations and interviews with teachers and students, this study shows that by overcoming these non-linguistic barriers, the Arabic learning process can be significantly improved. The results of this study are expected to contribute in formulating more effective strategies to improve Arabic reading skills in similar schools. Keywords: reading skills, problems, non-linguistic.

Abstract

Eksistensi pondok pesantren dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab terlihat dari keberhasilan pondok pesantren dalam mencetak generasi muda yang mampu berbahasa Arab serta menguasai empat keterampilan berbahasa Arab secara proporsional. Dalam praktiknya, pondok pesantren menggunakan model pembelajaran yang dianggap efektif untuk melatih dan meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Arab santri, oleh karena itu penelitian model pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa Arab di pondok pesantren penting dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa Arab di pondok pesantren modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif komparatif, jenis datanya terbagi menjadi data primer yang berupa data inti dari beberapa lokus penelitian dan data sekunder yang berupa sumber literasi yang berkaitan dengan penelitian, adapun teknik mengumpulkan datanya adalah melalui kegiatan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan langkah analisis datanya dimulai dari reduksi data, penyajian data, hingga pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari tiga pondok pesantren modern yang menjadi lokus penelitian ketiganya menggunakan model imigram dalam menjalankan program kebahasaan dalam rangka meningkatkan empat keterampilan berbahasa Arab santrinya, yang pada intinya model ini mengusahakan keseimbangan antara pengetahuan kebahasaaraban santri dengan praktik berbahasa arab mereka. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi salah satu rujukan dalam rangka mengembangkan model pembelajaran empat keterampilan berbahasa Arab ditengah inovasi pendidikan era modern ini.
