Abstract

Abstract

This research provides information regarding I'jaz Al-Quran in influencing mental health from the perspective of the Al-Quran as a positive affirmation. The aim is to determine the impact of positive affirmations on mental health and the positive affirmations found in the Al-Quran. This research is qualitative research in the form of a literature study by collecting data from various literature relevant to the topic being discussed, recording and processing library data information to obtain the required results. The results of this research show that in the Al-Quran there is a positive affirmation in the form of a representation of Allah SWT's love for His servants, so that they do not always feel sad or anxious, because Allah is always with His servants, especially for those who believe and are pious, and if their servants do mistakes, Allah gives motivation that Allah's mercy is very great, don't give up hope and always return to the path of piety.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a holy book and the main source of teachings for Muslims containing the word of Allah SWT, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW as revelation through the intermediary of the Angel Gabriel. The process of receiving the revelation is unique and exclusive, occurring when the Prophet is conscious or through a real dream. Revelation, in this context, is fundamentally different from inspiration and instinct, although all three can be understood as forms of "supernatural calling." Revelation is specific and only addressed to prophets and apostles, while inspiration and instinct are psychological processes that can be experienced by ordinary humans. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, which includes analysis of interpretations, classical Islamic literature, and the views of contemporary scholars, to explore the meaning of revelation and distinguish it from inspiration and instinct conceptually and theologically.

Abstract

The Qur'an, as a guide for the lives of Muslims, must be implemented in daily life. However, because the Qur'an was revealed in Arabic—a language not understood by everyone—Muslims are required to study the sciences that aim to comprehend the meaning of the Qur'an, namely translation (terjemah), exegesis (tafsir), and interpretation (ta'wil). Due to the various opinions on these subjects, it is essential to focus on the perspectives of one or two scholars. The purpose of this research is to understand the concepts of translation, exegesis, and interpretation according to Abdul Azim Al-Zarqani and Manna' Khalil Al-Qattan, and then compare their views to identify similarities and differences. The research method used is qualitative with a comparative study approach. Data collection was conducted using documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, as well as verification and conclusion. The results of the study show three similarities and four differences in the concept of translation, as well as two similarities and one difference in the concepts of exegesis and interpretation, as understood by Abdul Azim Al-Zarqani and Manna' Khalil Al-Qattan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Arabic language textbook for seventh grade authored by Hasan Saefulloh through a multimodal approach. This study is grounded in the recognition that textbooks continue to serve as one of the principal media for language instruction, yet their visual and textual integration is often less than optimal. The study employs a qualitative content analysis method using systemic functional linguistics (SFL) and multimodal discourse analysis by Kress and van Leeuwen. Data were drawn from selected pages of the textbook that contain prominent multimodal elements, including vocabulary lists, dialogues, illustrations, and page layouts. The findings reveal three major points. First, the book presents basic Arabic learning materials but the integration between texts, images, and layouts is still weak. Second, the multimodal elements often work in isolation without forming a cohesive meaning. Third, the lack of balance between visual and verbal representations may limit students’ comprehension and engagement. This research concludes that the textbook needs improvement in its design and organization, particularly in aligning verbal and visual modes to support effective Arabic learning. This study contributes to the enhancement of multimodal awareness in Arabic textbook design, offering insights for teachers, authors, and curriculum developers to produce more pedagogically integrated materials.
