Abstract

Parenting is a behavior or way that parents do in educating their children. Children are safe and it is the responsibility of parents to be educated and cared for as well as possible. It is parents who will determine the development and future of children later. Parents can imitate the parenting applied by the Prophet Muhammad. He is a messenger of Allah SWT, a role model and a concrete example in educating Islamic children. One of the books that examines the upbringing of the Prophet Muhammad is the book Educating with the Prophet Saw by Muhammad Nur Abdul Hafizh Suwaid. The purpose of this research is to reveal the upbringing of the Prophet Muhammad in the book Educating Children with the Prophet SAW Mendidik. The type of research that the author uses in this research is library research library research. In the process of data analysis techniques the author uses document analysis. The results showed that the method of educating children like Rasulullah SAW contained in the book Mendidik Bersama Nabi SAW by Muhammad Nur Abdul Hafizh Suwaid that can be followed includes good examples, the right time to provide guidance, Being fair and equal to children, Fulfilling rights Children, Pray for children, Buy children's toys, Help children to do good and obey, Do not criticize children.

Abstract

The application of the Computational Thinking (CT) learning method in early childhood education (PAUD) has become an important focus in strengthening children’s cognitive skills and language abilities. This study aims to examine the implementation of the CT method in early childhood and its influence on children’s language development. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted in a Playgroup (KB) in Pacitan Regency. Data were collected through structured observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and parents, and documentation of children’s learning activities. The results showed that the application of CT through sequencing, pattern recognition, decomposition, and algorithmic thinking activities contributed to improving children’s active vocabulary, narrative ability, and verbal communication skills. This study concludes that the integration of CT into early childhood learning is effective in stimulating language development in an enjoyable and contextual manner. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing innovative CT-based learning methods in PAUD, while also opening opportunities for further research with a broader sample scope and more diverse combinations of digital media.

Abstract

The development of early childhood cognitive abilities is an important aspect of early childhood education, particularly through learning activities that are concrete, enjoyable, and appropriate to children’s developmental stages. This study aims to describe the implementation of educational games and analyze the development of early childhood cognitive abilities at KB Mentari Kebonagung. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of eight children aged 3–4 years. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with an observation sheet based on the indicators of the Child Development Achievement Level Standards (STPPA) used as the instrument. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that educational games are implemented regularly and structurally through various media, such as puzzles, blocks, number cards, and matching games. The development of children’s cognitive abilities showed positive results, with most children reaching the categories of Developing as Expected (BSH) and Developing Very Well (BSB), particularly in the aspects of recognizing colors and shapes, number concepts, and the ability to classify objects. However, variations in development were still found in the aspect of simple problem-solving. Supporting factors in the implementation of educational games include the availability of media and teacher competence, whereas inhibiting factors include limited facilities and low parental involvement. This study concludes that educational games are effective in supporting the improvement of early childhood cognitive abilities. These findings provide practical implications for early childhood education teachers in designing game-based learning that is structured, contextual, and appropriate to children’s developmental needs.

Abstract

Character education in early childhood is an important aspect of shaping children’s behavior and personality from an early age. This study aims to describe the role of teachers in shaping early childhood character at TK Putra Mandiri 1, identify the character values instilled, and explain the strategies used in implementing character education. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants consisted of the principal and teachers who were directly involved in the learning process. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers play an important role as role models, guides, motivators, and facilitators in shaping early childhood character. The character values instilled included religiosity, discipline, honesty, responsibility, independence, social care, politeness, hard work, and self-confidence. Character formation was carried out through habituation activities, exemplary conduct, worship practices, learning through play, and group learning activities. In addition, school culture and cooperation between teachers and parents also supported the success of character education at school. Nevertheless, the implementation of character education still faces obstacles, such as differences in family backgrounds and the limited involvement of some parents in supporting children’s character habituation at home. The conclusion of this study affirms that strengthening the role of teachers, school culture, and collaboration with parents are important factors in shaping positive character in early childhood. These findings contribute to the development of character education at the early childhood education level and serve as a reference for early childhood education institutions in designing more effective and sustainable character education strategies.

Abstract

Although various cooperative learning models have been widely implemented in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level, low active engagement and reading comprehension ability among students remain issues that need attention. This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions of the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, involving 20 fourth-grade students and 1 teacher selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were then analyzed using thematic analysis through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that most students had positive perceptions of the implementation of the CIRC model. Learning was perceived as more interesting, interactive, and helpful in improving reading comprehension through group discussion. In addition, this model also encouraged increased social interaction and students’ active participation. However, this study also found obstacles in the form of unequal participation among group members and difficulties in cooperation at the initial stage of implementation. These findings contribute to strengthening cooperative learning in the context of elementary education while broadening understanding of students’ perceptions of the implementation of the CIRC model in reading instruction. This study concludes that the CIRC model is effective in creating collaborative and meaningful learning, provided that group management is carried out optimally so that learning outcomes can be maximized.

Abstract

Low reading and writing literacy skills among early-grade elementary school students remain an important problem in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the condition of basic literacy in relation to the reading and writing skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kembang Pacitan. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of 13 second-grade students. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation and were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that most students still experienced difficulties in beginning reading and writing. In reading skills, the majority of students were in the less fluent category, whereas in writing skills the majority were in the adequate category. The difficulties identified included letter recognition, reading fluency, the use of capital letters, spelling, and handwriting neatness. Factors influencing students’ literacy skills included low reading interest, lack of parental assistance, limited reading materials, and learning that remained conventional. The conclusion of this study affirms that the reading and writing literacy skills of second-grade students still need to be improved through more innovative learning strategies and support from the family environment. The implications of this study provide a basis for teachers and schools in developing more effective literacy programs to improve elementary school students’ reading and writing skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas buku cerita berilustrasi sebagai media pembelajaran yang interaktif dalam merangsang kreativitas dan meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa anak. Buku cerita berilustrasi memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik melalui kombinasi teks dan gambar visual yang mampu merangsang daya imajinasi serta memperkaya kosakata anak. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengamati interaksi Anak Usia Dini dengan buku cerita berilustrasi melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan guru, serta analisis dokumen pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ilustrasi dalam buku cerita tidak hanya membantu anak memahami cerita, tetapi juga mendorong mereka untuk menciptakan alur narasi yang baru, sehingga melatih pola pikir kreatif. Selain itu, kosakata dan struktur bahasa anak mengalami peningkatan signifikan melalui paparan teks cerita. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa buku cerita berilustrasi dapat menjadi alat pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mendukung perkembangan kognitif, bahasa, dan kreativitas Anak Usia Dini.

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan PIAUD dalam mencapai tujuan yang sudah di desainselalu menginginkan perubahan dan peningkatan. Perubahan diinginkanketika suatu lembaga mengalami stagnan dalam pergerakannya.Perkembangan dan pencapaian pada tujuan memaksa lembaga untukmerombak struktural yang berdampak terhadap kinerja dari anggota.Perubahan yang terjadi terkadang bisa membuat problem yang baru danberdampak konflik berkepanjangan. Keseimbangan dan kesuaian yangperlu diterapkan stakeholder dalam memajukan lembaganya. Ketidaksesuain akan membuat tekanan yang berdampak pada ketegangan padaanggota. Masalah datang karena kesenjangan yang terjadi pada beban kerjayang berbeda dan tidak sesuai bidang. Stress akan datang pada setiaporang, ketika beban kerja dan tuntutan yang tidak sesuai dengankemampuan orangnya. Stress dibiarkan dalam jangka panjang akanmenambah masalah yang berkepanjangan. Perubahan dalam lembagadiperlukan untuk mengembangkan kinerja lembaga tersebut.

Abstract

Motivation is needed every day by students, especially from outside themselves to have a passion for learning. The feeling of laziness felt by students makes them not enthusiastic in participating in learning in class. Absorbing so many materials and lessons requires the intention and seriousness of a student. Various features that interfere with the arrival of smartphone technology that has a big impact on students. Teachers and parents have an important role to have a positive influence in following each lesson. There are several ways that can motivate students by giving awards, prizes, or praise for those who have tried to learn. This method provides a stimulus to be more enthusiastic in achieving goals with several rewards. Abraham Maslow's theory explains that a person has needs such as eating, drinking and so on. Needs must be met as well as student learning must have a sense of need to do so.
