Abstract

The integration of Islamic education and modern science is crucial to overcoming the long-standing dichotomy that positions religious and empirical knowledge as opposing domains. This study aims to examine the conceptual foundation and practical opportunities for building a collaborative scientific paradigm that unites Islamic spiritual values with modern scientific rationality. Using a qualitative descriptive design, this research relies on library studies and content analysis of scholarly works related to Islamic epistemology, the Islamization of knowledge, and integrated education models. The findings show that the dichotomy between Islamic education and modern science stems from epistemological misconceptions influenced by secular educational systems, which separate divine revelation from rational inquiry. Islamic epistemology views all knowledge as originating from Allah and therefore positions religious and scientific disciplines as inherently interconnected. The study identifies three key areas of integration: curriculum development grounded in tawhid, reflective and interdisciplinary learning strategies, and strengthening the role of teachers as murabbi who bridge spiritual and scientific dimensions. This integrative paradigm enables the formation of ulul albab individuals—those who are intellectually critical, spiritually grounded, and ethically responsible in their use of knowledge. Consequently, Islamic education and modern science should be perceived not as competing entities but as complementary pillars that collectively contribute to building a holistic, civilized, and God-centered educational system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and implement the concept of adab (etiquette) proposed by Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas as a philosophical foundation in addressing the crisis of character education and moral erosion among Generation Z in the digital age. Generation Z, who live in a digital and global environment, experience value disorientation due to the weak internalization of adab in an education system that tends to be cognitive and materialistic. Through a literature review using a qualitative-descriptive analytical approach, this study examines Al-Attas' major works, particularly The Concept of Education in Islam, as well as various literature related to the character crisis and the dynamics of Generation Z. The results of the analysis show that, according to Al-Attas, manners are not merely social etiquette, but rather a spiritual and intellectual awareness to place everything in its proper position according to its essence. The concept of Islamization of Knowledge (IIEP) becomes an implementative instrument for the formation of civilized human beings (al-insan al-mu'addab) through the purification of knowledge from secular values towards a monotheistic orientation. This study concludes that effective character education for Generation Z must be holistic—integrating spiritual, moral, intellectual, and technological aspects to produce a generation that is knowledgeable, moral, and civilized in accordance with the Islamic worldview.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji relevansi pemikiran pendidikan Al-Ghazali, Ibnu Sina, dan Al-Farabi sebagai landasan konseptual dalam menghadapi krisis moral dan intelektual generasi digital. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis melalui studi pustaka, penelitian ini mensintesiskan gagasan filosofis ketiganya yang menekankan integrasi antara rasionalitas, moralitas, dan spiritualitas dalam pendidikan. Al-Ghazali memandang pendidikan sebagai proses penyucian jiwa (tazkiyatun nafs) yang bertujuan membentuk akhlak mulia dan kematangan spiritual. Ibnu Sina menitikberatkan pendidikan pada pengembangan potensi manusia melalui pendekatan rasional, moral, dan sesuai tahap perkembangan untuk mencapai al-insan al-kamil (manusia sempurna). Sementara itu, Al-Farabi melihat pendidikan sebagai instrumen pembentukan al-madinah al-fadhilah (masyarakat utama) yang berlandaskan keadilan, ilmu, dan etika. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran ketiganya tetap relevan di abad ke-21 sebagai panduan dalam menyeimbangkan kemajuan intelektual dengan kesadaran etis dan tanggung jawab digital. Sintesis gagasan Al-Ghazali, Ibnu Sina, dan Al-Farabi memberikan kerangka filosofis sekaligus praktis bagi pembentukan generasi digital yang cerdas, berakhlak, dan berlandaskan nilai spiritual.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Merdeka Belajar (MB) concept with Islamic educational values in order to form an education system that is adaptive to the times without losing its spiritual and moral foundations. The research approach used is library research by examining various journals, books, and scientific literature related to MB policies and Islamic educational principles. The results of the study show that both have the same orientation in shaping well-rounded individuals, intellectually intelligent, noble in character, independent, and socially responsible. This integration is evident in the flexible curriculum design, project-based learning methods, and authentic assessments that evaluate cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects in a balanced manner. Teachers act as facilitators and role models of values, while schools function as spaces for Islamic character building. The conclusion of this study confirms that the synergy between Merdeka Belajar and Islamic values is a strategic step towards realizing meaningful, humanistic education that is strongly rooted in the values of monotheism and national character. Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang sangat cepat membawa dampak besar bagi dunia pendidikan. Di satu sisi, teknologi memudahkan proses belajar, namun di sisi lain dapat menimbulkan dehumanisasi yaitu menurunnya nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, adab, dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Fenomena ini terjadi ketika proses pendidikan hanya terfokus pada aspek teknis dan hasil, tanpa memperhatikan pembentukan karakter dan moral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana filsafat pendidikan Islam dapat menjadi solusi dalam menghadapi dampak dehumanisasi teknologi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian perpustakaan, yaitu menelaah berbagai literatur ilmiah, jurnal, buku, dan penelitian terbaru yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa filsafat pendidikan Islam dengan konsep tauhid, adab, dan insan kamil dapat menjadi dasar untuk membangun pendidikan yang berpusat pada manusia. Nilai-nilai etika digital, peran guru sebagai teladan moral, serta integrasi nilai spiritual dalam pembelajaran sangat penting untuk membentuk generasi beradab di era digital. Dengan demikian, filsafat pendidikan Islam tetap relevan sebagai panduan moral dan arah pembinaan karakter di tengah kemajuan teknologi

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed Islamic education, particularly in the growing discourse on gender equality within digital public spaces. Social media has become a new arena where diverse gender narratives—from progressive to conservative—compete for public attention, requiring a more systematic response from Islamic education. This study aims to describe the foundational concepts of gender in Islamic education, analyze how social media shapes gender perceptions among Muslim communities, and formulate effective educational strategies for responding to these challenges in the digital era. Using a library research design with a descriptive qualitative approach, this study applies thematic content analysis to synthesize relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that Islamic education holds strong potential to promote gender justice through theological, pedagogical, and digital literacy approaches. Nevertheless, significant challenges persist, including biased interpretations, the spread of misinformation, and the dominance of patriarchal narratives in online spaces. The study’s implications highlight the need for curriculum reform grounded in gender equality, teacher capacity development, strengthened Islamic digital literacy, and collaborative efforts among educators, scholars, and digital communities to build a more inclusive and moderate digital da'wah environment. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for developing adaptive Islamic educational strategies that respond effectively to gender dynamics in the cyber era.

Abstract

This research aimed at testing the influence of internet utilization as a learning resource toward Islamic Education on learning achievement at State Senior High School 1 Tambang. Quantitative approach was used in this research with quasi experimental method. All the tenth-grade students were the population of this research, and they were 189 students. The samples were 64 students selected by using purposive sampling technique, 32 students were the experimental group, and 32 students were the control group. The techniques of collecting data were test and questionnaire. The technique of analyzing data was t-test analysis. Based on the research findings, it could be concluded that there was an influence of internet utilization as a learning resource toward Islamic Education learning achievement at State Senior High School 1 Tambang. It could be proven with the score of  higher than  (4.677>2.000). Student learning achievement was increased by utilizing the internet as a learning resource with the mean scores 79.56 in the experimental group and 70.97 in the control group.

Abstract

This article examines classical Western philosophy, particularly Plato, in the context of character development and human knowledge. Plato emphasizes education as a process of shaping the soul harmoniously between reason, morality, and desire, and achieving true knowledge (episteme) through philosophical reflection and dialectics. Education, according to Plato, is not merely the transfer of knowledge but a means to guide learners to recognize the values of truth, goodness, and justice, thereby forming morally virtuous, wise, and knowledgeable individuals. This study employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive-philosophical approach to explore Plato’s concepts of education, character, and morality, and their relevance to contemporary educational challenges. The findings indicate that integrating Plato’s philosophy can strengthen character formation and intellectual capacity in modern learners. ABSTRAK Artikel ini membahas pemikiran filsafat klasik Barat, khususnya Plato, dalam konteks pembangunan karakter dan pengetahuan manusia. Plato menekankan pendidikan sebagai proses pembentukan jiwa yang harmonis antara akal, moral, dan nafsu, serta pencapaian pengetahuan sejati (episteme) melalui refleksi filosofis dan dialektika. Pendidikan, menurut Plato, bukan sekadar transfer ilmu, tetapi sarana membimbing peserta didik mengenali nilai kebenaran, kebaikan, dan keadilan, sehingga mampu membentuk individu yang bermoral, bijaksana, dan berpengetahuan. Kajian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-filosofis untuk menelaah konsep pendidikan, karakter, dan moral dalam pemikiran Plato, serta relevansinya terhadap tantangan pendidikan modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pemikiran Plato dapat memperkuat pembentukan karakter dan kapasitas intelektual peserta didik di era kontemporer.

Abstract

This study aims to validate an Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy instrument for Islamic Education (PAI) students using Rasch analysis to evaluate its reliability, validity, item-fit statistics, and unidimensionality. The instrument was developed to measure the extent of AI literacy among prospective Islamic Education teachers. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 64 students from a university in Riau, Indonesia. Participants completed an AI literacy instrument consisting of 85 items. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. Data were analyzed using the Rasch model with the aid of Winsteps software version 3.73. The results of the Rasch analysis indicated that the instrument demonstrated good reliability (α = 0.85), excellent item quality (0.94), and consistent respondent reliability (0.84). In terms of validity, the three dimensions of AI literacy were confirmed to possess unidimensional properties. The practical implication of this study lies in providing higher education institutions with a validated AI literacy instrument that can be used to assess the knowledge of future Islamic Education teachers. By employing Rasch analysis, this study contributes to enhancing the psychometric robustness of measurement tools, particularly in the context of assessing artificial intelligence literacy in Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan merupakan hak dasar setiap manusia yang memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Dalam perspektif Islam, laki-laki dan perempuan memiliki kedudukan yang sama di hadapan Allah SWT serta memiliki hak yang setara dalam memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan. Namun, dalam realitas sosial masih ditemukan kesenjangan akses pendidikan yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor budaya, ekonomi, dan pemahaman agama yang kurang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep kesetaraan hak pendidikan antara laki-laki dan perempuan dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an serta melihat implementasinya dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research melalui kajian terhadap Al-Qur’an, kitab tafsir, buku ilmiah, dan artikel jurnal yang relevan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) untuk memahami konsep kesetaraan pendidikan berdasarkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Qur’an menegaskan kesetaraan laki-laki dan perempuan sebagai manusia yang memiliki hak yang sama dalam memperoleh pendidikan. Perintah menuntut ilmu berlaku bagi seluruh umat manusia tanpa membedakan jenis kelamin. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan Islam memiliki peran penting dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keadilan dan kesetaraan guna mewujudkan sistem pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkeadilan.Abstract:Education is a fundamental human right that plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources. In the Islamic perspective, men and women have equal status before Allah SWT and have equal rights to acquire knowledge. However, in social reality, inequalities in access to education still exist due to cultural, economic, and misinterpretations of religious teachings. This study aims to examine the concept of equality in educational rights between men and women from the perspective of the Qur’an and to analyze its implementation in the context of education in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method by reviewing the Qur’an, classical commentaries, academic books, and relevant journal articles. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis to understand the concept of educational equality based on Qur’anic values. The results show that the Qur’an emphasizes the equality of men and women as human beings who have equal rights to obtain education. The command to seek knowledge applies to all humans regardless of gender. Therefore, Islamic education plays an important role in promoting values of justice and equality in order to create an inclusive and equitable education system.
