Abstract

Manajemen profesionalitas guru melalui coaching menjadi fokus penting dalam mengoptimalkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi praktik coaching dalam konteks pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data dari studi literatur dan observasi terhadap guru dan kepala sekolah. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa coaching efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dan profesionalisme mereka. Coaching memberikan dukungan individual yang terfokus pada pengembangan keterampilan pedagogis, refleksi diri, dan penyelesaian masalah. Selain itu, manajemen yang efektif dari proses coaching oleh pemimpin sekolah membantu memperkuat budaya sekolah yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran berkelanjutan. Guru yang menjalani proses coaching merasakan peningkatan motivasi, rasa percaya diri, dan kemandirian dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya investasi dalam pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional guru serta peran kunci pemimpin sekolah dalam mendukung praktik coaching yang efektif. Kesimpulannya, manajemen profesionalitas guru melalui coaching bukan hanya meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran, tetapi juga membentuk budaya sekolah yang progresif dan berorientasi pada pertumbuhan profesional.

Abstract

Sekolah abad ke-21 menghadapi tantangan berupa perubahan sosial, kemajuan teknologi, serta tuntutan global yang menekankan kreativitas, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan berpikir kritis. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya kepemimpinan yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada instruksi, tetapi juga membangun relasi yang sehat dengan seluruh warga sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis model kepemimpinan orientasi hubungan sebagai kunci keberhasilan pengelolaan sekolah abad ke-21. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi literatur. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari dokumen resmi sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepem- impinan orientasi hubungan ditandai dengan komunikasi terbuka, partisipatif, dan dialogis antara kepala sekolah dan guru, penguatan budaya sekolah yang kolaboratif, serta partisipasi aktif seluruh warga sekolah. Selain itu, teridentifikasi strategi utama berupa pengembangan sumber daya manusia, penguatan komunikasi dan kolaborasi, serta adaptasi teknologi. Dari hasil analisis, tersusun tipologi kepemimpinan yang menempatkan kepala sekolah sebagai fasilitator, motivator, mediator, dan inova- tor. Keseluruhan temuan menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan orientasi hubungan merupakan model strategis yang relevan untuk mewujudkan pengelolaan sekolah yang efektif dan adaptif di era abad ke- 21. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character education in Adiwiyata schools through a case study at SDN Cendono I and SDN Sumberejo I, Pasuruan Regency. Character education has become a strategic national agenda in Indonesia to respond to moral degradation, the erosion of social solidarity, and the weakening of environmental awareness among elementary school students. Using a descriptive qualitative case study design, data were collected through in‑depth interviews with principals, teachers, and students, participant observation of school routines and Adiwiyata activities, and documentation analysis of school policies and supporting instruments. The data were analyzed using interactive techniques of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with triangulation across sources and techniques to enhance validity. The findings show that character education has been integrated into school culture, classroom learning, and environmentally based co‑curricular programs, particularly in strengthening environmental care, discipline, and responsibility. Supporting factors include strong principal leadership, teacher commitment, active parental involvement, and the availability of Adiwiyata facilities, while inhibiting factors relate to limited resources, inconsistent student participation, and varying levels of community support. Overall, the implementation of character education in both Adiwiyata schools is categorized as effective, but still requires strengthening in systematic evaluation mechanisms, documentation of character outcomes, and collaboration with external stakeholders to ensure sustainability.​

Abstract

This study examines the role of school supervisors in implementing differentiated mentoring to enhance principals’ leadership capacity. Variations in leadership capacity among principals are influenced by contextual, organizational, and individual factors, while supervisory practices often remain uniform. This study aims to develop an effective differentiated mentoring model tailored to principals’ needs. A qualitative multi-site case study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sidayu and SMA Muhammadiyah 10 GKB in Gresik Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that effective differentiated mentoring begins with diagnostic mapping of principals’ leadership capacity, followed by the selection of appropriate mentoring strategies such as facilitation, mentoring, and coaching. The results show that principals with high capacity benefit from facilitative and coaching approaches, while those with moderate capacity require mentoring combined with coaching. The integration of reflection and growth mindset strengthens leadership development, and religious approaches are relevant in faith-based schools. This study contributes to educational management by proposing a contextual and adaptive differentiated mentoring model for improving principals’ leadership capacity.

Abstract

Education is not only aimed at transferring knowledge but also at shaping character, skills, and life values. In this context, principals and teachers play an important role in developing teacher empowerment management to improve the quality of learning. However, there are still schools that have not optimized teacher empowerment, which affects the quality of education. This study aims to analyze the management of needs, the process of teacher empowerment, and its impact on improving the quality of education at UPT SDN Margorejo. The research method used is qualitative.The results show that teacher empowerment can be implemented through various programs, such as training in deep learning-based instructional strategies, professional development, strengthening school leadership, and creating a supportive work environment. These efforts have been proven to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran manajemen mutu akreditasi dalam meningkatkan trust masyarakat yang berdampak pada meningkatnya minat masyarakat untuk menyekolahkan anak-anaknya di MTs. Sunan Ampel Kebet Lamongan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya akreditasi tidak hanya sebagai bentuk penilaian formal, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen strategis untuk membangun reputasi dan meningkatkan mutu layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, guru, komite madrasah, serta perwakilan orang tua/wali murid; observasi terhadap kegiatan madrasah; dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen mutu akreditasi di MTs. Sunan Ampel Kebet Lamongan dilakukan secara terstruktur melalui pemenuhan standar nasional pendidikan, peningkatan kompetensi guru, perbaikan sarana prasarana, serta penguatan komunikasi dengan masyarakat. Setelah memperoleh akreditasi “A”, madrasah ini mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah pendaftar baru dan perubahan positif dalam persepsi masyarakat. Kepercayaan masyarakat yang meningkat terbukti menjadi faktor utama bertambahnya minat menyekolahkan anak di madrasah tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen mutu akreditasi berperan penting tidak hanya sebagai proses administratif, tetapi juga sebagai upaya membangun budaya mutu yang berdampak langsung pada reputasi dan kepercayaan publik. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi madrasah dan sekolah lain dalam mengembangkan strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the strategic role of the school principal as an educational manager responsible for creating a quality learning environment to achieve an effective school. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the managerial role of school principals as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in realizing effective schools at UPT Satuan Pendidikan SDN Orobulu and SDN Krengih, Rembang District, Pasuruan Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and analysis of official school documents. Preliminary findings indicate that the managerial competence of principals in strategic planning, resource organization, and supervision has a direct impact on improving the quality of learning and school organizational effectiveness. Key supporting factors include innovative programs and community involvement, while inhibiting factors are related to limited facilities and organizational structure. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for the development of educational management at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze school branding management in enhancing the competitiveness of an Islamic primary school. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal that school branding is managed through the integration of the school’s vision, flagship programs, school culture, and institutional communication strategies. Branding functions not merely as a promotional tool, but as a differentiation strategy that fosters trust and stakeholder engagement. School culture plays a fundamental role as the foundation of brand identity, strengthening the institutional image in a sustainable manner. The theoretical contribution of this study emphasizes that school branding in Islamic primary schools is most effective when grounded in values, consistency of educational services, and authentic student experiences. Practically, these findings offer a strategic framework for school administrators in designing branding initiatives aligned with academic quality and institutional character.
