Abstract

Teachers' pedagogical competence is a key determinant of learning quality. However, preliminary observations at two elementary schools in Tosari indicated that teachers' pedagogical competence still needs improvement, as seen from the dominance of lecture methods, difficulties in designing innovative lesson plans, and limited integration of ICT. This study aims to analyze the implementation of teacher training programs in an effort to improve this pedagogical competence. The research uses a descriptive phenomenological qualitative approach, located at UPT SDN Podokoyo I Tosari. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana and verified through triangulation. The findings show that program implementation refers to Edward III's framework, where factors of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure significantly influence. Needs-based and participatory training programs proved effective in improving teacher competence, especially in lesson planning, varied teaching methods, and the use of simple media. However, the sustainability of training impact requires systemic support such as ongoing mentoring and supportive school policies. This study concludes that well-planned and contextual training program implementation can be an effective strategy for teacher professional development at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Quantum Teaching model TANDUR (Tumbuhkan–Alami–Namai–Demonstrasikan–Ulangi–Rayakan) on students’ motivation and psychomotor skills in learning the area of plane figures (triangles, squares, and rectangles) among fifth-grade elementary school students. A quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was employed involving 50 students from two public elementary schools in Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The experimental group (n = 24) received instruction using the TANDUR model, while the control group (n = 26) followed conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through motivation questionnaires based on Keller’s ARCS model and psychomotor observation rubrics, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, normalized gain (N-gain), and independent samples t-test. Results showed a statistically significant improvement in both motivation (p < 0.05; N-gain = 0.68, moderate) and psychomotor skills (p < 0.01; N-gain = 0.73, high) in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings suggest that the TANDUR-based Quantum Teaching model effectively enhances affective and psychomotor domains by engaging students in experiential, contextual, and celebratory learning activities aligned with Piaget’s concrete operational stage. This study contributes to the development of student-centered mathematics pedagogy in primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of collaborative-based academic supervision integrated with a clinical approach in improving teacher performance at the elementary school level. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on the processes of supervision planning, classroom observation, post-observation reflective dialogue, and collaborative follow-up actions. The findings indicate that collaboratively conducted academic supervision contributes to improved teacher performance, particularly in lesson planning, instructional implementation, and teachers’ professional attitudes. This study proposes a more adaptive supervision model grounded in professional learning.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is a crucial element in determining the quality of education, requiring ongoing development through planned, systematic, and effective supervision activities. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the impact of educational supervision implementation on efforts to improve teacher professionalism in schools. The research method used was a literature review using a qualitative approach, by examining secondary data from various relevant academic sources over the past five years, involving school principals as supervisors and teachers as objects of supervision. Key stages of the study included library data collection, in-depth thematic analysis, and narrative synthesis of supervisory practices. Key findings indicate that educational supervision plays a significant role in optimizing aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning outcomes. Collaborative and reflective supervision has been proven to motivate teachers to develop pedagogical and professional competencies, and encourage the creation of learning innovations through the provision of constructive feedback. The main conclusion emphasizes that educational supervision is not merely an administrative oversight tool, but rather a continuous development process that is essential for improving the quality of teaching. Synergy between supervisors and teachers through a humanistic approach is the main key to realizing the professionalism of educators, which has an impact on improving the overall quality of national education. ABSTRAK Profesionalisme guru merupakan elemen krusial penentu mutu pendidikan yang memerlukan pembinaan berkelanjutan melalui kegiatan supervisi yang terencana, sistematis, serta efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara komprehensif bagaimana pengaruh implementasi supervisi pendidikan terhadap upaya peningkatan profesionalisme guru di lingkungan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah studi literatur review menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan mengkaji data sekunder dari berbagai sumber akademik relevan dalam kurun waktu lima tahun terakhir yang melibatkan kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor dan guru sebagai objek supervisi. Tahapan penting penelitian mencakup pengumpulan data pustaka, analisis tematik mendalam, serta sintesis naratif mengenai praktik supervisi. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa supervisi pendidikan memiliki peran signifikan dalam mengoptimalkan aspek perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Supervisi yang dijalankan secara kolaboratif dan reflektif terbukti mampu memotivasi guru untuk mengembangkan kompetensi pedagogik maupun profesional, serta mendorong terciptanya inovasi pembelajaran melalui pemberian umpan balik yang konstruktif. Simpulan utama menegaskan bahwa supervisi pendidikan bukan sekadar alat pengawasan administratif semata, melainkan sebuah proses pembinaan berkelanjutan yang esensial untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Sinergi antara supervisor dan guru melalui pendekatan yang humanis menjadi kunci utama dalam mewujudkan profesionalisme tenaga pendidik yang berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan nasional secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Human resource management in education plays a strategic role in the continuous development of teacher competencies. However, teacher competency development in schools often faces obstacles in the form of suboptimal needs assessments and generic development programs. This study aims to examine the management of teacher pedagogical competency development through coaching-based needs assessment at SMPN 2 Kandangan, Kediri Regency. The study uses a qualitative approach with a focus on the implementation of coaching as a strategy for professional teacher assistance. The results show that the coaching-based needs assessment implemented since 2024 has become the basis for the preparation of the Work Plan (RHK) for teacher competency development. The HARMONI coaching innovation has proven to help teachers plan, implement, and reflect on their competency development in a more focused manner. Despite several challenges in its implementation, this approach is effective in increasing teacher engagement and supporting continuous pedagogical competency development. ABSTRAK Manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam pengembangan kompetensi guru yang berkelanjutan. Namun, pengembangan kompetensi guru di sekolah masih sering menghadapi kendala berupa asesmen kebutuhan yang belum optimal dan program pengembangan yang bersifat umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji manajemen pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru melalui asesmen kebutuhan berbasis coaching di SMPN 2 Kandangan, Kabupaten Kediri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan fokus pada implementasi coaching sebagai strategi pendampingan profesional guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen kebutuhan berbasis coaching yang diterapkan sejak tahun 2024 menjadi dasar penyusunan Rencana Hasil Kerja (RHK) pengembangan kompetensi guru. Inovasi coaching dengan alur HARMONI terbukti membantu guru merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan merefleksikan pengembangan kompetensinya secara lebih terarah. Meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaannya, pendekatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan guru dan mendukung pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

the quality of education means improving the quality of teachers. A professional teacher is someone who is well educated and trained, and has rich experience in its sector. Teacher Professional Education (PPG) is a strategic program designed to develop and strengthen a teacher's professional competency. In other words, it can be stated that if teacher professionalism is high, teacher performance will increase. The method used in this research is quantitative. The variables in this study consist of one independent variable and one dependent variable. The dependent variable (y) is teacher performance and the independent variable (x1) is teacher professionalism. The population to be studied in this research is elementary school teachers in Cluster IV Srikandi, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency with a total of 50 people/respondents. The method that will be used in this research is the questionnaire method. The research results obtained the following data: 31 teachers or 62% of teachers in Cluster V Srikandi, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency in the 2025/2026 Academic Year had teacher professionalism scores above the mean, and the remaining 38% or 19 teachers were below the average. For the teacher performance variable, the final results showed that 33 teachers or 56.0% had scores above the average, while 27 teachers or 44% had scores below the average. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between teacher professionalism and teacher performance in Cluster V Srikandi, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency in the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership management of the school principal in developing educational facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of education at SDN Pogar III Bangil. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, direct observations of school facilities, and documentation analysis of school planning records. The findings indicate that the principal effectively performed managerial functions through participatory planning, systematic organization, gradual implementation of facility development, and continuous supervision. The improvement of educational facilities positively influenced learning comfort, student motivation, and the quality of the teaching and learning process. The main challenges encountered were limited funding and teachers’ technological competencies, which were addressed through collaboration with the school committee and internal training programs. The study concludes that effective principal leadership in managing school facilities and infrastructure plays a significant role in enhancing educational quality at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Strategi Kepala Sekolah merupakan seni dan pengetahuan yang diperoleh seorang kepala sekolah dalam merumuskan, mengimplementasikan, mengevaluasi keputusan-keputusan lintas fungsional yang memudahkan organisasi dalam pencapaian tujuan. Guru merupakan kunci keberhasilan suatu lembaga pendidikan. Dalam mewujudkan visi SDN Ngabar tersebut tentunya ada peran Sumber Daya Guru yang profesional, sebagai penunjang yang mampu menyelenggarakan pendidikan secara utuh dan menyeluruh yang termuat serta dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDN Ngabar Kab. Pasuruan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan strategi Kepala Sekolah dalam pengembangan Kompetensi guru di SDN Ngabar Kraton Kabupaten Pasuruan. Metode penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologis. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Informan penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah,staff dan guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi guru ialah: 1) pada aspek kepribadian dengan pembinaan dan pengawasan kepada guru terkait dengan proses pembelajaran di kelas; 2) pada aspek pedagogik dengan memberikan motivasi dan contoh yang baik pada guru untuk selalu berbuat yang terbaik untuk peserta didik dan kemajuan lembaga; 3) aspek sosial dengan cara menciptakan nuansa kebersamaan dan keharmonisan dengan meningkatkan komunikasi antar dewan guru sehingga tercipta suasana yang guyub rukun dalam lingkungan sekolah; dan 4) aspek profesional dengan cara mengadakan pembinaan disiplin guru, mengikut sertakan guru dalam kegiatan pelatihan, lokakarya, diklat, seminar, KKG, MGMP.

Abstract

Manajemen pada satuan tingkat pendidikan menenggah sama halnya dengan manajemen pendidikan satuan tingkat pendidikan tingkat SLTP, PIAUD dan SD, sama-sama menggunakan memakai tahap perencanaan, pengorganisasian dan pola pembelajaran serta sistem evaluasi pada satuan tingkat pendidikan menenggah. Manajemen pendidikan satuan tingkat menengah memiliki tiga model pertama erdasarkan nilai yang diharapkan (expected values), kedua berdasarkan kerdasarkan pertimbangan alternatif dan situasi atau sering disebut payofftables serta pohon keputusan. Sehinggah penulis menemukan diantaranya: pada usia remaja struktur otak bagian bawah telah berkembang sebanyak 80% dan kecerdasan yang lebih tinggi mulai berkembang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan tahapan manajemen pembiayaan pendidikan dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini merupakan kajian pengelolaan pembiyaan pendidikan untuk mewujudkan peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) perencanaan berjalan pada setiap tahun dan berjalan dengan baik yang selalu diawali dengan abeberapa kali analisa dan ditetapkan melalui keputusan bersama; 2) pengorganisasian terlihat pada struktur dan telah terpenuhi dan dilengkapi dengan tugas, pokok dan fungsi, 3) pelaksanaan berjalan sesuai rencana dan cukup ditunjang dengan sumberdaya yang memadai, 4) evaluasi dilaksanakan sesuai waktu yang telah ditetapkan dan berjalan secara efektif
