Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sekolah dasar bertujuan memberikan penguatan proses peningkatan dalam melihat penerapan sikap sosial dan budaya di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Adapaun sikap sosial budaya yang ditampilkan berupa sikap disiplin, jujur, tanggungjawab, percaya diri, santun, percaya diri dan peduli, dan terkhusus pada proses pembelajaran etnopedagogi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan. Bentuk tindakan yang dilakukan di dalam proses pembelajaran etnopedagogi. Adapaun data diperoleh melalui proses observasi dan dokumentasi yang dideskripsikan secara kualitatif. Analisis data direduksi, disajikan, dan ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dengan berbagai tindakan siklus yang menunjukkan karakter sosial budaya peserta didik mengalami peningkatan. Adapun perolehan hasil dapat dilihat dalam peningkatan karakter sosial dan budaya pada siklus I terlihat sebanyak 40% yang diperoleh dari 8 orang peserta didik, pada siklus II diperoleh data sebanyak 75% dari 15 orang peserta didik, kemudian pada siklus III diperoleh data sebanyak 85% dari 17 orang peserta didik. Dengan peningkatan data ini maka telah terjadi peningkatan karakter sosial dan budaya warga negara di sekolah.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low disciplinary character of students in the school environment. This research focuses on how disciplined character can be embedded in scouts who raise in extracurricular scout activities at Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh Islamic Elementary School. The aim of this research is to describe the coaches' efforts in forming a disciplined character in students through scout activities at Raudhatul Jannah Payakumbuh Islamic Elementary School. This research was conducted at Raudhatul Janah Payakumbuh Islamic Elementary School involving 20 students who participated in scout raising activities and coaching. This type of research is qualitative research, using three data collection techniques, namely, interviews, observation and documentation. From the results of the observations carried out, it shows that scout extracurriculars can form a disciplined character in students. The formation of this disciplined character can be formed due to the efforts made by the coach by applying punishment methods and giving appreciation to students on PPB and pioneering activity material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada fakta bahwa siswa di sekolah dasar mengalami penurunan konsentrasi belajar mereka setelah memulai pembelajaran daring. Hal ini disebabkan oleh siswa yang mudah bosan dengan sesuatu; siswa yang tidak betah duduk di satu tempat; siswa yang suka mengganggu temannya dan siswa yang membahas betapa pentingnya tetap konsentrasi selama proses pembelajaran di kelas. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat konsentrasi belajar siswa di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 01 Luhak Nan Duo, Pasaman Barat, mengikuti pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif atau deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa kelas IV dari sekolah dasar negeri 01 Luhak Nan Duo di Pasaman Barat. Metode pengambilan sampel total adalah 100 persen dari populasi, yaitu 30 siswa kelas IV. Untuk mengumpulkan data, lembar observasi yang berisi 16 item pernyataan berfungsi sebagai angket. Analisis data menggunakan deskripsi data dan penghitungan rata-rata.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IV yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran online di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 01 Luhak Nan Duo memiliki konsentrasi kategori sedang dengan persentase rata-rata 56 persen.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan motivasi, pengetahuan, dan meningkatkan keterampilan guru, khususnya peserta MGMP PPKn di Kabupaten Sijunjung, guna menghasilkan dan menerbitkan karya ilmiah sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru PPKn di Kabupaten Sijunjung. Kegiatan layanan dilakukan secara kontinu selama 3 pertemuan, yaitu pada tanggal 17 September 2022 di SMP 14 Sijunjung dan pada tanggal 21 dan 28 September 2022 secara daring. Kegiatan layanan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi kelompok terfokus, dan metode pelatihan. Kegiatan PkM (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) berhasil memberikan motivasi dan inspirasi kepada peserta dalam menulis dan menerbitkan karya ilmiah. Peserta menyatakan kepuasan yang tinggi, menekankan konten pelatihan yang jelas dan menarik. Materi yang disediakan, dengan fokus pada keterampilan praktis, diterima dengan baik dan dianggap dapat langsung diterapkan. Semua peserta mengonfirmasi kesesuaian materi dengan tema pelatihan dan kemudahan pemahaman, serta gaya presentasi yang menarik. Yang lebih penting, 95% peserta mengakui dampak positif PkM pada motivasi, peningkatan pengetahuan, dan perbaikan keterampilan, terutama bermanfaat bagi guru MGMP PPKn di Kabupaten Sijunjung dalam menghasilkan dan menerbitkan karya ilmiah.This service activity aims to provide motivation, knowledge and improve the skills of teachers specifically for MGMP PPKn participants in Sijunjung Regency to produce and publish scientific work as an effort to improve the professionalism of PPKn teachers in Sijunjung Regency. Service activities are carried out continuously over 3 meetings, namely on September 17 2022 at SMP 14 Sijunjung and on September 21 and 28 2022 online. This service activity is carried out using lecture methods, focus group discussions, and training methods. The PkM (Community Service) activity successfully motivated and inspired participants in scientific writing and publications. Participants expressed high satisfaction, emphasizing the training's clear and engaging content. The provided material, focusing on practical skills, was well-received and deemed immediately applicable. All participants confirmed the alignment of the material with the training theme and its easy comprehensibility, along with an engaging presentation style. Crucially, 95% of participants acknowledged the PkM's positive impact on motivation, knowledge enhancement, and skills improvement, particularly benefiting MGMP PPKn teachers in Sijunjung Regency in producing and publishing scientific works.

Abstract

This study aims to empower the community in the disadvantaged village of Koto Dalam Barat, Padang Pariaman Regency, through an Integrated Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by students of IAIN Batusangkar. The approach used is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which focuses on leveraging local assets and community potential as the foundation for development. The village faces various challenges, such as low education levels and limited access to technology, which are addressed through local asset mapping and active community participation in every phase of the program. This KKN initiative contributes by identifying and utilizing local assets through skill training, digital literacy enhancement, and the development of businesses based on local potential. The students of IAIN Batusangkar serve as facilitators, collaborating with the community to discover, develop, and strengthen existing assets to improve overall welfare. The program is designed in stages, starting with asset mapping, planning activities based on local potential, implementing the program using a participatory approach, and concluding with evaluation and monitoring to ensure sustainability and long-term impact for the community.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the experiences of preservice English teachers during their teaching practice in Islamic state universities in West Sumatera Province, Indonesia and the unique difficulties they face. Using a descriptive quantitative design, the researchers gathered data from 150 respondents through the questionnaires in five primary areas: linguistic challenges, teaching difficulties, mentorship and supervision, school support, and school culture. Evidence collected during the research detailed that participants 72% could not explain their lessons in English, and classroom talk was identified to be a significant barrier 68%. Students also experienced difficulties in pedagogy, with respondents reporting low confidence in the use of diverse teaching strategies 61% and a lack of confidence 66% in the use of technology in teaching. In terms of supervision, 70% of respondents did not receive sufficient feedback from their mentors, and 63% of respondents described the lack of dialogues and discussions on teaching and learning strategies. Respondents also described their school as having little support and supervision. Other challenges respondents described included lack of internet 75% and their school was also described as remote (62%). In the area of organizational culture, respondents 78% remarked that the teaching practice was too brief to establish relationships with the teachers, and 67% described the work environment as having little to no participation. These findings highlight significant gaps in language proficiency, pedagogical preparedness, quality of mentoring and institutional coordination which significantly impact  the professional growth of preservice teachers.

Abstract

Orphanage assistance is carried out, in an effort to improve the feasibility of orphanage services inthe welfare of children. The orphanage children provide the best services and improvements to prosper andincrease individual independence. The service process is carried out using the Participatory Action Research(PAR) methodology or better known as conducting to promote understanding of community life situationsas a basis for action. The activities carried out are training activities in cooking or otherwise known ascatering for orphanage children. Catering activities for orphanage children were carried out with as many as20 participants and also attended by the caretaker/manager of the orphanage. The material presented is toprovide skills in processing religious food raw materials as a source of the productive economy, to traingradually to have entrepreneurial and business competencies, and to develop children as human resourcesso that they are able to create job opportunities for themselves and others. Abstract

The article writer uses a type of participatory action research method. This is because the PAR method is an action considered as "systematic and oriented towards data analysis whose answers require the collection and analysis of data and the generation of interpretations directly tested in the field of action involving action researchers and members of society or organizations who seek to improve their situation. This dedication The participatory action research method was chosen because in this service it is an activity carried out to see the educational process carried out in the community in the form of actions to improve their situation as in the field it was found that there were several children who were still unable to read, write and count. This service was carried out by providing learning assistance to children who are in elementary school at SDIT An-Nahl, especially lower class children, namely class I. The form of activity is learning to read, write and count (mathematics). namely class I where the number of children participating is around 20 children.

Abstract

Having the ability to compile textbooks that can be used in learning is certainly one of the factors that can support a teacher's professionalism. However, to be able to write well you need continuous practice and knowing writing tools, one of which is a tool that can add references and bibliography. Therefore, applications are needed that can help teachers add references and bibliography, namely Publish or Perish (PoP) and Zotero. This research aims to describe the use of the PoP and Zotero digital applications in the process of preparing textbooks by the board of teachers at the Royatul Islam Islamic Boarding School, consisting of twenty teachers. The methods applied in this activity are lecture, demonstration and simulation methods. The flow of implementing this research is divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques. The research results showed that 90% of participants answered that they were able to operate the PoP digital application to find references in compiling textbooks. Apart from that, 90% of training participants in using this digital platform agreed that the PoP and Zotero applications would increase their knowledge and skills in searching for references and bibliography in compiling textbooks

Abstract

By using a sustainable and participatory Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this community service aims to improve the social and spiritual welfare of the Nagari Kumanis community. One way to encourage community empowerment is by combining spiritual principles, local culture, and community participation in community service programs. Community service activities are carried out in three main forms: the customary Bakaua nagari and Randai cultural arts performances; monthly wirid nagari with speakers from UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar; and coordination and evaluation of participation in village mentoring. The PAR methodology uses the stages of participatory planning, implementation, observation, and joint reflection. During the activity, traditional leaders, religious leaders, youth, village officials, and the community are the people who are being served. The results of the community service show that the customary Bakaua and Randai performances can increase social cohesion, cultural identity, and youth participation in preserving local values. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of activities. The monthly wirid nagari helps people in the community understand and be aware of their spirituality, and it also makes social ties stronger. Meanwhile, participatory coordination and evaluation help the community create and assess the community's own community service program. Overall, this commitment shows that PAR-based mentoring that combines cultural and spiritual elements well can improve the welfare of the village community in a comprehensive and sustainable manner
