Abstract

The researcher made this paper based on my discourse analysis to the song “My Heart Will Go On” as the theme of Titanic. It was interesting to analyze this song because the researcher really like the movie (Titanic) of which this song’s as the theme. The objective of this research was to know what the main idea or information from this song whether it is appropriate with the story of this movie or not. It was a descriptive qualitative method and it used the semantic approach to analyze the song lyrics. In order the researcher can understand the meaning of the song easily, first, translating the song lyrics into Indonesian, then trying to understand the meaning of each word in this song, next, analyzing the social and cultural context of the song. The researcher also tried to give a personal response to the song based on opinion to the movie generally and to the song specifically. It is a good song. This song is really about true love. The Titanic movie gave people a stereotype every time listened to this song they would imagine that the song is from Rose for jack, her true love. The content of this song is all about love. Love did not disappear although one of them was died. They would meet and see each other in her dream every night. It seems to be impossible, but it shows us what a powerful the true love is. “My Heart Will Go On” tells us the different point of view. In this song, true love can not disappear, it’s forever in her heart.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to investigate whether any significant difference in the improvement of students’ ability in story retelling using animation movie and without using animation movie. The total number of populations were 150 students. The sample in this study was 20 students. The researcher carried out an experimental study using statistical method called t-test. The researcher used two groups: experiment group and control group. In the control group the researcher used written text story, while in the experiment group, the researcher used animation movie. The data showed that the mean score of pre-test in experimental class was 73.5, while the mean score of pre-test in control group class was 74. Meanwhile, the mean score of post-test in experimental class was 78.1, and the mean score of post-test in control group class was 74.8. The statistical analysis showed that the minimum gained score of experimental class was 3 and the minimum gained score of control group class was 0. While, the highest gained score of experimental class was 8 and control group class was 2. The average gained score of experimental class was 4.6, and for control group class were 0.8. It can be concluded that the students’ speaking skill in experimental class that were given by the treatment through animation movie were improved more effectively than the control group.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi Dalam rangka mendekatkan dan meningkatkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat serta memperpendek proses pelayanan guna mewujudkan pelayanan yang cepat dan mudah, murah, transparan, pasti dan terjangkau. Diharapkan keberadaan PTSP Mampu memberikan kemudahan dalam perizinan usaha sehingga akan meningkatkan minat pelaku usaha untuk melakukan investasi dan pengembangan usaha. Selain itu, dengan adanya PTSP diharapkan pelaku dunia usaha dapat memperoleh manfaat dalam bentuk efisiensi pelayanan yang menghasilkan pengurangan waktu dan biaya yang membuat pelaku usaha dapat mengalokasikan lebih banyak waktu dan biaya pada kegiatan produktif. Adapun Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah dengan cara memberikan sosialisasi yang berisi (motivasi) kepada masyarakat dan pelaku usaha Kota Sibolga. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat untuk mendapatkan pelayanan publik yang lebih baik serta mendapat kepastian dan jaminan hukum atas formalitas usaha yang dimiliki. Bagi dunia usaha, keberadaan PTSP diharapkan mampu memberikan kemudahan dalam perizinan usaha sehingga akan meningkatkan minat pelaku usaha untuk melakukan investasi dan pengembangan usaha.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is whether work ethics and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Sibolga Sambas District Office. This study aims to determine the effect of work ethics and work motivation on employee performance at the Sibolga Sambas District Office. The sample in this study were all employees of Sibolga Sambas District, totaling 87 (eighty seven) people. The data analysis technique in this study is Multiple Linear Regression. The results of this study indicate: work ethics partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; Work motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; Work ethics and work motivation partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to investigate The Improving Students’ Vocabulary By Using fiction Movie. The population of the study was the second year of the students of STIE Alwashliyah Sibolga in 2021/2022 academic year, the total number of students was 80 students. The sample consist of two classes, there were 40 students of II A as an control group and II B as a experimental group. The method of the study was quantitative research with pre-experimental approach. The instrument used in this researcher was a vocabulary. The pre-test and post-test were administrated. Based on the calculation, the mean score of pre-test was 76.75 and mean of post-test was 9575. So, it could be stated that the hypothesis “Improving Students’ Vocabulary By Using Fiction Movie. Based on the result, it could be concluded that there was an improvement of the English vocabulary students through fiction Movie.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui Apakah iklan dan harga berpengaruh secara bersama-sama terhadap minat beli konsumen pada Sehat Bakery Sibuluan Indah. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah Apakah Iklan dan Harga berpengaruh secara bersama-sama Terhadap Minat Beli Konsumen Pada Sehat Bakery Sibuluan Indah ? Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah Terdapat pengaruh Iklan dan harga terhadap minat beli konsumen pada Sehat Bakery Sibuluan Indah. Jenis penelitian penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif (descriptive quantitative research) yang digunakan. Populasi sebesar 430 orang. Sampel berjumlah 100 orang. Sumber data berasal dari data primer dan sekunder. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisa deskriptif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diketahui variabel iklan dan harga mampu mempengaruhi variabel minat beli konsumen sebesar 45,2%. Iklan dan harga secara serempak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen di Sehat Bakery Sibuluan Indah, dimana diperoleh bahwa nilai Fhitung (39,965) lebih besar dibandingkan dengan Ftabel (3,09) dan Sig.á (0,000a) lebih kecil dari alpha 5% (0,005). Secara parsial iklan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen di Sehat Bakery Sibuluan Indah. Dibuktikan dengan nilai thitung yang diperoleh 3,074 lebih besar dari ttabel 1,984 atau signifikansi (sig-t) 0,003 lebih kecil dari α (0,05). Secara parsial harga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen di Sehat Bakery Sibuluan Indah. Dibuktikan dengan nilai thitung yang diperoleh 6,847 lebih besar dari nilai ttabel sebesar 1,984 atau signifikansi (Sig-t) 0,000 lebih kecil dari α (0,05) Berdasarkan model regresi liner berganda yang diperoleh persamaan regresi adalah Y = 5,299 + 0,259 + 0,560 menunjukkan kinerja kearah yang positif.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is whether work ethics and work experience simultaneously influence the work performance of employees at the Sibolga City DPRD Secretariat Office? The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze whether there is an effect of work ethics and work experience on employee performance at the Sibolga City DPRD Secretariat Office. The hypothesis of this study is that there is an effect of work experience on employee performance at the Sibolga City DPRD Secretariat Office. The population is 108 people and the sample is 52 people. The results showed that work ethics and work experience simultaneously affect employee performance, where Fcount (86.578) is greater than Ftable (3.18) and Sig.á (0.000b) is smaller than α 5% (0.005). There is an influence of work ethics on employee performance, where the tcount value of 5.511 is greater than the ttable value of 2.008 or a significant (Sig-t) of 0.000 less than α (0.05). There is the influence of work experience on employee performance, where the tcount value of 2.780 is greater than the ttable value of 2.008 or a significant (Sig-t) of 0.008 less than α (0.05). 77.9% work ethics and work experience can affect employee performance. The positive sign in the multiple linear regression equation, namely Y = 4.825 + 0.552X1 + 0.314X2 indicates that employee performance will increase if work ethics and work experience are good.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk mengetahui lingkungan kerja dan budaya organisasi secara serempak berpengaruh terhadap kinerjaBadan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kota Sibolga. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah Terdapat pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan budaya organisasi secara serempak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kota Sibolga. Jenis penelitian yang gunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasi. Jumlah populasi sebesar 123 orang.Sampel berjumlah 55 orang.Sumber data berasal daridata primer dan sekunder. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian diketahuiterdapat pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja, dimana Fhitung (40,521) > Ftabel (3,17). Terdapat pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja, dimana nilai thitung(2,731)>ttabel (2,006). Terdapat pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja, dimananilai thitung(2,899)> ttabel(2,006).Sebesar 60,9% lingkungan kerja dan budaya organisasi mampu mempengaruhi kinerja. Persamaan regresi linear berganda Y = 14,620 + 0,399 X1 + 0,423X2menunjukkan kinerja akan meningkat jika lingkungan kerja dan budaya organisasi baik.

Abstract

This current study is concerned with cyber pragmatics that analyzes the trigger of language impoliteness on social media, which is used by netizens in political comments. Instagram and Facebook are the media interactions that contain impolite comments. The main theory used in this study is impoliteness theory pioneered by Culpeper (2011) which explains that impoliteness is communication behavior that intends to attack the face of the interlocutor. The method used is a qualitative method. Data is collected using note-taking techniques through screen capture and data is obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a Google form. The results of data analysis based on the most dominant or first triggering factor were criticized with 36% (n=36), factors showing feelings of disappointment as much as 31% (n=31) with political discourse in different situations. The third trigger factor is a form of incongruity as much as (n=17), then the fourth trigger factor is as dislike as much as (n=7), the fifth trigger factor is as a result of anger as much as (n=4), the sixth trigger factor is forms of incompatibility as many as (n=3), and the least frequency of triggering factors are forms of distrust and annoyance respectively as many as (n=1). Based on the results of data analysis from the research problem, there are several functions of linguistic impoliteness, namely to criticize, be sarcastic, and express anger and disappointment.
