Abstract

Perisai Diri silat championships require athletes to demonstrate comprehensive readiness encompassing physical, mental, and strategic dimensions, positioning coaches as key actors in systematically directing the athlete development process. However, limited access to capacity-building programs grounded in scientific approaches remains a challenge for many coaches, particularly in managing psychological aspects, injury prevention, and the application of effective and safe training methods. This community engagement activity aims to enhance the capacity of Perisai Diri coaches in preparing athletes for competition by strengthening their understanding of psychological training, mastery of structured training methods, and the application of health and nutrition principles for athletes. The activity was implemented through integrated stages, including training sessions, mentoring, and evaluation. The results indicate a noticeable improvement in coaches’ understanding and readiness to design adaptive training programs that balance physical and mental training while giving due attention to recovery and nutritional aspects. Strengthening coaches’ capacity contributes to meeting athletes’ needs and supports sustainable improvements in performance and competitive achievement in Perisai Diri silat.

Abstract

Nature-based tourism is increasingly popular with the public, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, because it is considered safer, healthier, and closer to nature. One popular form of nature tourism activity is camping. Gayo Camping Ceria, as a nature tourism business in Takengon, Central Aceh, provides tent and camping equipment rental services at affordable prices. However, in its operations, the reservation process and rental management are still carried out manually via WhatsApp and social media, which causes various obstacles such as late confirmations, recording errors, difficulty monitoring stock, and the absence of a centralized documentation system. To address these challenges, this study aims to design and implement a web-based camping reservation system that can automate the entire booking and rental process. The system development methodology uses the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The implementation results show that the system successfully meets all functional and non- functional user requirements. The results of the system testing using the black-box testing method indicate that all features run well according to the designed specifications and scenarios. Every process flow, from booking to payment verification, can be executed smoothly. This system has been proven to improve operational efficiency, minimize recording errors, and provide convenience and transparency for both users and administrators. This system not only improves the operational efficiency of Gayo Camping Ceria but also provides a better digital experience for customers. Furthermore, this system has the potential to be adopted by other MSMEs in the nature tourism sector that face similar challenges in managing reservations and rentals. Thus, this research makes a real contribution to the application of information technology to strengthen the digital-based local tourism sector to support sustainable digital transformation.

Abstract

This article examines the customary marriage practices of the Papuan people from the perspective of Islamic law within the framework of legal pluralism. Marriage in Papuan society is not only understood as an individual bond between a man and a woman, but also as a social event involving extended families, clans, and customary structures. In practice, the fulfillment of customary requirements often becomes the main basis for the legitimacy of marriage, while the marriage contract according to Islamic law is carried out simply or even neglected. This condition reflects the dominance of customary law as a living law that is deeply rooted in the social structure of society. Through a juridical-empirical approach with normative and socio-anthropological analysis, this study shows that the relationship between customary law and Islamic law is negotiable and contextual. Islamic law is recognized theologically, but its application is often adjusted to the interests of customary social harmony. The findings of the study also reveal the serious implications of customary marriage practices for the protection of women and children, especially when the marriage is not accompanied by a marriage contract that is valid according to Islamic law. This article emphasizes that customary marriage practices in Papua cannot be viewed solely as an expression of culture, but also as a matter of justice and legal protection. Therefore, a model for strengthening Islamic law that is sensitive to the customary context is needed, without neglecting the basic principles of justice and public interest.
