Abstract

Tanaman Gaharu (Aquilaria malaccensis Lam) merupakan tanaman yang digunakan sebagai obat dan kosmetik. Gel merupakan sediaan setengah padat yang terdiri dari suspensi yang terbuat dari partikel organik dan anorganik. Jerawat merupakan suatu proses peradangan kronik kelenjar– kelenjar polisebasea. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas fraksi daun gaharu sebagai antijerawat dan senyawa yang berkhasiat sebagai anitijerawat. Daun gaharu diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96 %. Ekstrak kental kemudian difraksinasi menggunakan metode Ekstraksi Cair-Cair dengan pelarut n-heksana, etil asetat dan metanol-air. Metode pengujian aktivitas fraksi daun gaharu sebagai antijerawat yaitu pada bakteri Propionibacterium acnes menggunakan metode difusi cakram kertas dan mikrodilusi, sedangkan uji bioautografi digunakan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa berkhasiat. Hasil pengujian difusi cakram kertas, nilai Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum yang diperoleh dari ekstrak, fraksi n-heksana, fraksi etil asetat, dan fraksi metanol-air berturut-turut sebesar 125.000 ppm, 500.000 ppm, 125.000 ppm, dan 125.000 ppm dengan diameter zona hambat 7,7 mm; 4,96 mm; 9,46 mm; dan 7,06 mm. Fraksi etil asetat memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang lebih kuat sehingga pengujian mikrodilusi dilakukan terhadap fraksi etil asetat. Hasil pengujian mikrodilusi, Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum yang diperoleh dari fraksi etil asetat sebesar 3.900 ppm dan Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum dari fraksi etil asetat lebih dari 62.500 ppm. Aktivitas fraksi daun gaharu sebagai antijerawat yang paling baik dengan konsentrasi fraksi etilasetat 2%. Sedangkan hasil pengujian bioautografi diperoleh senyawa golongan flavonoid.Kata Kunci : Aquilaria malaccensis Lam, gel, Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum, Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum, uji bioautografi.

Abstract

Introduction: Football is a form of physical activity that can be played by both men and women. This sport is inseparable from the use of the feet which involve body structures such as joints and muscles. The problem that often occurs in soccer players is experiencing injuries that can occur to the ankles due to sprains or collisions between players. Serious injury can occur if there is a hard impact on the neck and head area. Sports injuries can cause disturbances in physical activity, psychology, and achievement. The solution to dealing with repetitive sports injuries is by providing education about the first treatment for soccer sports injuries. Purpose: To increase knowledge in the first handling of soccer sports injuries to students at the Ebod Jaya Football Academy and Cimahi FC. Methods: Descriptive with pre-test and post-test design. Population is 60 students, sample is 35 students, with purposive sampling technique. Results: The results obtained were that more than half of the respondents had insufficient knowledge about the first handling of soccer sports injuries before being given education (54%) and more than half of the respondents had sufficient knowledge about the first handling of soccer sports injuries after being given education (69%). Conclusion: Half of the respondents had sufficient knowledge about the first treatment for soccer sports injuries after being given education.   Keywords: Knowledge; First Handling; Injury; Football.   Pendahuluan: Olahraga sepak bola merupakan bentuk aktivitas fisik yang  bisa dimainkan oleh laki-laki maupun perempuan. Olahraga ini tidak terlepas dari penggunaan kaki yang melibatkan struktur tubuh seperti sendi dan otot. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada pemain sepak bola adalah mengalami cedera yang dapat terjadi pada pergelangan kaki akibat terkilir atau benturan antar pemain. Cedera berat dapat terjadi jika ada benturan keras pada daerah leher dan kepala. Cedera olahraga dapat menimbulkan gangguan aktivitas fisik, psikis, dan prestasi. Solusi untuk mengatasi cedera olahraga berulang dengan diberikan edukasi tentang penanganan pertama cedera olahraga sepak bola.  Tujuan:  Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam penanganan pertama cedera olahraga sepak bola pada siswa Akademi sepak bola Ebod Jaya dan Cimahi FC. Metode: Deskriptif dengan pre-test dan post-test design. Populasi 60 siswa, sampel 35 siswa, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil: Hasil yang didapatkan lebih dari setengah responden memiliki pengetahuan kurang  tentang penanganan pertama cedera olahraga sepak bola sebelum diberikan edukasi (54%) dan lebih dari setengah responden memiliki pengetahuan cukup tentang penanganan pertama cedera olahraga sepak bola setelah diberikan edukasi (69%). Simpulan: Setengah responden memiliki pengetahuan cukup tentang penanganan pertama cedera olahraga sepak bola setelah diberikan edukasi.

Abstract

Where it grows can affect the content of its compounds, this will also affect the activity test being studied. This study used gaharu leaves from two different regions, namely from Palembang and Bogor. The aim of the study was to determine the antioxidant activity of Palembang and Bogor gaharu leaves and to determine the total flavonoid content. The research method began with sample preparation, simplicia characterization then extracted by maceration using 96% ethanol, then fractionated by liquid – liquid extraction using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol:water solvents. Extracts and fractions were monitored using TLC and tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-Pikrihidrazil) method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer where the intensity of antioxidant activity was determined by the IC50 value and the determination of total flavonoid content. IC50 results of Palembang gaharu leaves ethanol extract, methanol:water fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, n-hexane fraction respectively 47.44, 71.98, 84.30 and 138.81 µg/ml while Bogor gaharu leaves extract ethanol, methanol fraction : water, ethyl acetate fraction, n-hexane fraction respectively 45.57, 66.39, 81.12, and 140.09 µg/ml. The total flavonoid content of Palembang gaharu leaves was 13.452 QE/g and that of Bogor gaharu leaves was 11.254 QE/g. In conclusion, the ethanol extract of Palembang gaharu leaves is stronger in antioxidants than Bogor gaharu leaves. Directly proportional to the total flavonoid content, this is thought to be due to the influence of the place where it grows, such as soil nutrient content, temperature, climate, and sunlight intensity.

Abstract

Bhakti Kencana University (BKU) community service activities were conducted in Girimekar Village, Bandung Regency. This activity involved BKU lecturers from various disciplines, such as Midwifery, Nursing, Public Health, and Pharmacy. This activity was carried out by forming a medical team, which was an effort to empower the community, especially the youth of the local group. This activity aims to socialize emergency treatment measures that must be carried out as soon as possible before residents are taken to the community health center or hospital. This will help the community care more about their health. Girimekar Village has topography and land contours in the form of highlands and lowlands at an altitude of between 400 meters above sea level and 600 meters above sea level, with an average temperature ranging from 19°C to 37°C. Girimekar Village consists of 5 hamlets, 22 RWs, and 79 RTs. Based on the topography, most areas outside the forest area are slopes or peaks with varying heights. Most RWs are located outside forest areas. Conditions like this are the background for the formation of this medical team. The method for forming a medical team was carried out by identifying the number of young people in the area and then carrying out preliminary outreach by educating them about the importance of emergency treatment before residents are taken to the hospital. After the socialization, the medical team was given training on first aid in the form of basic life support. The formation of the medical team was carried out by first identifying the number of youth. This activity, which was carried out for one month, produced a medical team from among the youth who were expected to be at the forefront in assisting. First, to residents before taking them to the health center or hospital. 26 Girimekar residents attended it, and the long-term plan for this activity is to hold first aid training for the medical team at least once every six months.

Abstract

Abstrak Tumbuhan adalah salah satu penghasil bahan berkhasiat obat salah satunya sebagai antioksidan. Senyawa pada tumbuhan yang bisa berfungsi sebagai antioksidan adalah flavonoid, fenol, dan karotenoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menetapkan aktivitas antioksidan dan  kadar flavonoid, fenol dan karotenoid total pada ekstrak daun  Artemisia vulgaris L., Artemisia annua  L. dan  Artemisia dracunculus L. Ekstraksi terhadap masing-masing bahan dilakukan secara bertingkat menggunakan alat refluks, pemantauan kandungan senyawa dengan Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT), pengujian aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan DPPH, penetapan kadar flavonoid total menggunakan metode Ordon, penetapan kadar fenol total menggunakan reagen Folin-Ciocalteu dan penetapan kadar karotenoid total menggunakan pelarut n-heksana. Hasil menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun Artemsia darcunculus L. paling tinggi dalam menghambat radikal bebas dengan nilai IC50 terkecil (32,10±0,10µg/mL), Ekstrak etanol daun Artemisia vulgaris L. (77,19±0,13µg/mL) dan Ekstrak etanol daun Artemisia annua L. (99,46±0,16 µg/mL). Kadar total flavonoid, fenolat dan karotenoid tertinggi pada ekstrak etil asetat daun Artemisia vulgaris L. berturut-turut 12,83 mg QE/100 mg ekstrak, 68,72 mg GAE/100 mg ekstrak dan 10,01 mg BE/100 mg ekstrak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun Artemisia darcunculus L. memiliki aktivitas antioksidan paling kuat dan ekstrak etanol daun Artemisia vulgaris L. memiliki kadar flavonoid total, fenolat total dan karotenoid total tertinggi. Kata Kunci: Artemisia sp, antioksidan, flavonoid, fenol, karotenoid. Antioxidant Activities of Leaves Extract Three Genus Artemisia sp Using DPPH Method and Total Content of Flavonoid, Fenol And Carotenoid Abstract Plant is the natural product medicine such as antioxidant. Natural compounds as antioxidants are flavonoids, phenols, and carotenoids. This research was conducted to determinethe antioxidant activities and the levels of total flavonoids, phenols and carotenoids content in Artemisia vulgaris L., Artemisia annua L. and Artemisia dracunculus L. extract. Each sample was extracted gradual reflux method, monitoring of extracts compounds with Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), antioxidant activities were test using DPPH, determination of total flavonoids content with Ordon method, total phenol content with Folin-Ciocalteu reagent and total carotenoids using n-hexane. Ethanol extract of Leaves Artemisia dracunculus L. was highest in inhibiting free radicals with the smallest IC50 value (32.10±0.10μg / mL), ethanol extract of leaves Artemisia vulgaris L. (77.19 ± 0.13μg / mL) and ethanol extract of leaves Artemisia annua L. (99.46±0.16 μg / mL). The highest total content of flavonoid, phenolate and carotenoid in ethyl acetate extract of leaves Artemisia vulgaris L. were 12.83 mg QE / 100 mg extract, 68.72 mg GAE / 100 mg extract and 10.01 mg BE / 100 mg extract. Ethanol extract of Leaves Artemisia darcunculus L. has the strongest antioxidant activity, ethanolic extract of leaves Artemisia vulgaris L. has highest total flavonoid content, total phenolate and total carotenoid. Keywords:              Artemisia sp, antioxidant, flavonoid, phenolic, carotenoid

Abstract

Herba pegagan (Centella asiatica L.Urb) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki khasiat dan salah satunya adalah sebagai antioksidan yang berperan dalam menetralkan radikal bebas dan mencegah kerusakan sel yang disebabkan oleh radikal bebas. Radikal bebas diketahui terlibat dalam timbulnya berbagai penyakit. Senyawa yang terkandung dalam herba pegagan yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan yaitu tanin, flavonoid, dan terpenoid. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk menentukan parameter standarisasi herba pegagan dan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dari kelima daerah herba pegagan (Centella asiatica L.Urb). Pada hasil standarisasi parameter spesifik dan non spesifik hasil yang diperoleh telah memenuhi persyaratan sesuai dengan Farmakope Herbal Indonesia. Sampel diekstraksi dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak kemudian dipantau dan diuji aktivitaas antioksidannya secara kualitatif menggunakan kromatorafi lapis tipis dan secara kuantitatif menggunakan spektrofotometer sinar tampak. Uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrihidrazil) diperoleh rentang nilai IC50 67,61-89,32 μg/mL, dimana ekstrak yang paling aktif memiliki aktivitas antioksidan adalah ekstrak pegagan dari daerah pangandaran dengan nilai 67,61 μg/mL dibandingkan terhadap pembanding asam askorbat dengan nilai 4,22 μg/mL. kelima ekstrak herba pegagan berpotensi sebagai antioksidan.

Abstract

The current condition of Indonesia can be said to be facing a triple burden. Based on research results from the Central Statistics Agency, the percentage of the population, especially the population of West Java, who had health complaints during the last month in 2022 showed an increase compared to the previous year (2021), this is of course related to the quality of public health. The problem currently faced by partners is the lack of information and education regarding the processing of nutritious plants. So far, the crops obtained have been used in simple ways, eaten directly as fresh vegetables or processed as food.This time the community service program was carried out in Cibiru Wetan Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency. Activities include providing education regarding efficacious herbal plants and tutorials on making herbal tea as an effort to improve the quality of health.From the results of implementing this community service activity, the residents of Cibiru Wetan Village, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency have understood the ingredients that can be used in an effort to improve the quality of health and one way of processing them

Abstract

Phyllanthaceae is one of the medicinal plants family which it’s species widely spread in Indonesia with many chemical content and various pharmacological activities. Based on the previous research, it said that plants belonging to the same family will show the same chemical compound phenomenon. The purpose of this research was to determine the similarities of anatomical characteristics, chemical contents, total flavonoid content as the main compound, and antioxidant activity of five plants of the Phyllanthaceae family (the leaves of katuk, meniran, ceremai, buni, and mareme) in West Java. Five plants of the Phyllanthaceae family were observed macroscopically and identified their chemical compounds by phytochemical screening and thin layer chromatography. Each leaf was macerated using 96% ethanol as solvent and determined total flavonoid content and antioxidant activity. Determination of total flavonoid content with AlCl3 reagent with quercetin as a standard. Antioxidant activity assay conducted by the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-picrylhydrazil) with acid ascorbic as standard was measured at 515 nm. The results of macroscopic observations of five leaves of the Phyllanthaceae family showed some similarities in terms of morphology, including in compound leaf type, but there are differences in terms of size. And from monitoring the compounds showed a similar distribution of compounds with flavonoid compounds as markers on Rf 0,61. The total flavonoid content of katuk, meniran, ceremai, buni, and mareme leaf extracts respectively were 9.465±0.029; 9.847±0.029; 7.504±0.090; 7.857±0.103; 7.318±0.029 mgQE/g, and their antioxidant activity expressed in IC50 values respectively were 79.720±0.18; 60.871±0.15; 80.728±0.10; 80.447±0.18; 82.676±0.10 g/mL, and ascorbic acid was 7.91±0.01 g/mL. Five plants of the Phyllanthaceae family have similar anatomical characteristics and chemical constituents and showed high levels of flavonoids with strong antioxidant activity.

Abstract

Antioxidants are compounds that are capable of neutralizing free radicals. One plant with potential antioxidant properties is Peperomia pellucida. Objective: This study aimed to determine the antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, and total flavonoid content of extracts of the leaves and stems of Peperomia pellucida. Methods: Antioxidant activity was tested using the DPPH method, while the total phenolic and flavonoid contents were measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Extraction was performed via reflux using three different solvents: n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol. Results: The highest antioxidant activity was found in the ethanol extract of the leaves, with an IC50 value of 36.85 µg/mL, and in the stems, with an IC50 value of 71.28 µg/mL. The highest total phenolic content in the ethanol extract of the leaves was 14.46 mg GAE/g and that in the stems was 12.82 mg GAE/g. The highest total flavonoid content in the ethanol extract of the leaves was 12.12 mg QE/g and that in the stems was 10.49 mg QE/g. Conclusion: The results indicated that the ethanol extract of Peperomia pellucida leaves exhibited very strong antioxidant activity. Keywords: antioxidants, DPPH, phenolic, flavonoids, suruhan Plants

Abstract

Daun sendok (Plantago major L.) merupakan tanaman gulma yang termasuk ke dalam famili plantaginaceae. Hasil penelitian sebelumnya dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol, fraksi air (IC50 = 80,54 μg/mL), fraksi etil asetat (IC50 = 60,37 μg/mL) dan fraksi n-heksana (IC50 = 80,54 μg/mL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menetapkan kadar total fenol dan flavonoid dan aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak daun sendok. Sampel diperoleh dari dua lokasi tumbuh yang berbeda. Ekstraksi simplisia daun sendok dilakukan dengan metode refluks menggunakan tiga pelarut dengan polaritas yang berbeda. Pengujian antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH dan CUPRAC, dan penentuan kadar total fenol dan flavonoid menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-sinar tampak. Ekstrak etil asetat daun sendok Bantul (IC50 16,81± 0,11 μg/mL) paling rendah dalam menghambat radikal DPPH dibandingkan dengan ekstrak etil asetat sendok Garut (IC50 17,79± 0,40 μg/mL) dan ekstrak etanol Bantul (EC50 20,83 ± 0,07 μg/mL) memiliki nilai paling rendah dalam mereduksi CUPRAC dibandingkan dengan ekstrak etanol daun sendok Garut (EC50 25,60 ± 0,11 μg/mL). Ekstrak etil asetat daun sendok memiliki aktivitas antioksidan paling kuat karena memiliki kadar total fenol dan flavonoid paling tinggi. Ekstrak etil asetat dari daun sendok Bantul memiliki kadar fenol total tertinggi (34,803 ± 0,25 mg GAE/g ekstrak) dan flavonoid (1,440 ± 0,01 mg QE/g ekstrak). Kesimpulan lokasi tumbuh tanaman mempengaruhi kandungan senyawa aktif, dimana tempat tumbuh yang rendah memiliki aktivitas yang lebih kuat.
