Abstract

The research aims to analyze suitable learning approaches for gifted and talented students at school. A qualitative method with a "single-case embedded design (multiple units of analysis)" was used for this study. Data were collected from 10 informants, including 3 management team members, 3 experienced teachers, and 4 students enrolled in the exemplary education program. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the interactive model by Miles & Huberman, assisted by Nvivo 12 software. The results indicate six learning strategies i) depth and critical learning, ii) innovation learning, iii) question critical issue, iv) competition learning, v) exploration learning, and vi) experience learning. The findings suggest that learning for gifted and talented students should provide opportunities and freedom for exploration to maximize their potential independently, supported by creative and innovative teacher guidance. Therefore, it is crucial to develop specific learning approaches that consider the characteristics of gifted and talented students. Additionally, teachers must continually enhance their skills to support learning that meets the needs of these students. School, parents, and the community must collaborate to create a learning environment that maximizes the potential of gifted and talented students.

This study aims to analyze the personality competence of Islamic religious education teachers at Senior High Schools and its correlation with student learning motivation. This research is field research with a quantitative method that uses a correlational approach, aiming to determine whether there is a relationship between two variables. Based on the results of data analysis obtained using descriptive statistics, the personality competence of Islamic education teachers is in the quite high category, at 34.1%. Furthermore, a correlation exists between the personality competence of Islamic education teachers and student learning motivation, assessed using the pearson product moment correlation test. The correlation value is 0.312. These results indicate that the correlation between the personality competence of Islamic education teachers and student learning motivation is significant, as the calculated "r" value is greater than the table "r" value (0.312 > 0.297), thus rejecting the null hypothesis (H0). Therefore, the study concludes that there is a positive influence of the personality competence of Islamic education teachers on the learning motivation of students.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education is something very valuable for a person; it cannot be denied that through Islamic Religious Education we can distinguish a person's character. Through Islamic Religious Education, a person can become obedient and devout. However, there are several efforts that must be made before achieving maximum results, namely the efforts of an Islamic Religious Education teacher in diagnosing or identifying students' learning difficulties. This study aims to identify the learning difficulties students face during the learning process, which the teacher then describes. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, with data sources derived from observations, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that teachers' efforts in diagnosing learning difficulties are already being implemented effectively, but their execution is not yet optimal. This is evident first in the fact that Islamic Religious Education teachers have not yet maximized classroom observations to observe students' deviant behavior during lessons. the implication is that the efforts of Islamic Education teachers in diagnosing learning difficulties through interviews with parents have been going well, but they are still not maximizing their efforts to interview parents to find out the family conditions that are causing problems for students in their learning. Therefore, the approach taken by teachers should not be limited to telephone calls without visiting the homes of students who are experiencing learning difficulties. Teachers should visit the homes of students who are experiencing learning difficulties in order to find out what problems the students are facing.
