Abstract

This study aims to analize the effectiveness of the e-module assisted discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and to describe students' critical thinking skills in terms of learning independence. The research design used was a mixed method design with an exploratory sequential design. The subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students in Paninggaran, Pekalongan. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation to obtain comprehensive information. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it was concluded that learning with the e-module-assisted discovery learning model was proven effective, there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills and independence after participating in the e-module-assisted discovery learning, and there was a relationship between the level of critical thinking skills and student independence. In addition, students with high ability categories were able to demonstrate optimal performance in all critical thinking indicators because they had mature learning independence. Students in the medium category show developing abilities, but still require teacher guidance, students in the low category face significant obstacles in every aspect of critical thinking and low learning independence. Suggestions based on the results of this study are that teachers need to provide intensive guidance, directed feedback, and reflective thinking exercises consistently to students with medium and low critical thinking abilities, to help them develop critical thinking abilities and learning independence. Schools need to design habituation programs that encourage the growth of critical thinking abilities and student learning independence, through reflective activities, group discussions, and modeling critical thinking strategies.

Abstract

The main aim of this paper was to review how artificial intelligence works in software test automation. When it comes to software engineering, artificial intelligence (AI) has had a significant influence, and software testing is no exception. With artificial intelligence (AI), the goal of software test automation may be closer than ever before. To some extent, the paradigm has changed during the previous two decades]. Everything about the testing process has been a positive experience, starting with manual testing and progressing to automated testing, where Selenium is acknowledged to be one of the best test automation tools. As a result, in today's high-speed IT landscape software testing must come up with fresh testing approaches that are based on solid research. The emergence of AI-based testing has been very beneficial for this aim. A computer's ability to learn without human involvement may be fully simulated by AI algorithms and machine learning (ML). While AI and ML entail the construction of distinct and unique algorithms to access data and learn from it by identifying patterns to make conclusions, these predictions are intended to be employed in software testing to their full potential.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is a crucial skill involving the use of numbers, symbols, and basic mathematical concepts in daily life. However, PISA results indicate that Indonesian students’ numeracy literacy remains low, highlighting the need for effective learning models. This study examined the integration of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model with Kudus local wisdom to enhance students’ numeracy literacy, taking into account their cognitive styles. Kudus local wisdom encompasses traditions such as Dandangan and local products like parijoto fruit, jenang, batik, sarongs, and embroidered kebaya. The research involved seventh-grade students at a state junior high school in Kudus and employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design with a 2×2 factorial arrangement. The Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) was used to identify students’ cognitive styles, while a numeracy literacy test measured learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that: (1) the RME model significantly improved numeracy literacy (p = 0.011); (2) cognitive style did not have a significant effect on numeracy literacy (p = 0.615); and (3) there was no significant interaction between learning model and cognitive style (p = 0.272). In conclusion, the RME model effectively enhances numeracy literacy regardless of students’ cognitive styles. Its integration with local wisdom not only supports student competencies but also aligns with the Merdeka Curriculum’s vision of meaningful learning and contributes to achieving the Pancasila Student Profile.
