Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of numeracy literacy, learning motivation, and critical thinking skills of elementary school students, which is a problem in the 21st century. The purpose of this research is (1) to test the influence between numeracy literacy and learning motivation with critical thinking skills of Mathematics of Grade IV Elementary School students in Cipedak Village, (2) to test the influence between numeracy literacy with critical thinking skills of Mathematics of Grade IV Elementary School students in Cipedak Village, and (3) to test the influence between learning motivation with critical thinking skills of Mathematics of Grade IV Elementary School students in Cipedak Village The type of research used is quantitative survey research. The population in this study were fourth grade students from 3 public elementary schools in Cipedak Village with a sample size of 183 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The results of the study showed that the critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students in Cipedak Village were still low with the results of the Two Way ANOVA test showing that numeracy literacy had a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills in mathematics (F = 12.098; p < 0.001), which indicates that students with better numeracy literacy tend to have higher critical thinking skills. In addition, learning motivation also had a significant effect on critical thinking skills (F = 3.185; p = 0.044), although the effect was smaller than numeracy literacy. Furthermore, the study found a significant interaction between numeracy literacy and learning motivation on critical thinking skills in mathematics (F = 6.394; p = 0.002). This finding indicates that students' critical thinking skills will develop optimally if good numeracy literacy is supported by strong learning motivation. Overall, the research model was able to explain approximately 24% of the variation in critical thinking skills, while the remainder was influenced by factors other than the research variables.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is a strategic policy intervention designed to improve students' nutritional status, thereby supporting the quality of education in Indonesia. However, empirical evidence suggests that the impact of school meal programs on educational outcomes is not always direct or uniform, because these outcomes are influenced by various mediating and moderating factors. This article aims to synthesize scientific evidence on the implementation of the MBG and its implications for educational quality from an educational management perspective. This study uses a systematic qualitative review approach to empirical publications published between 2004 and 2025. Of the 266 documents identified through database searches and citation chains, the 50 most relevant articles were analyzed in depth using thematic analysis. The synthesis results indicate that MBG contributes to improvements in students' nutritional and health status, thereby enhancing prerequisites for learning, such as attendance, concentration, motivation, and class participation. The causal pathway from improved nutritional status to academic achievement is non-linear and is mediated by other factors, including the quality of teaching, the learning environment, and students' socio-economic conditions. The findings confirm that variations in MBG's impact across regions are primarily explained by differences in the quality of managerial implementation, cross-sectoral coordination capacity, sensitivity to the socio-cultural context, and the level of stakeholder engagement. This article proposes a conceptual model of MBG implementation in which implementation management directly influences both nutritional status and learning readiness, which act as mediators, while regional context and stakeholder engagement serve as moderators for these relationships. These findings contribute to the education policy literature by clarifying the mechanisms through which school feeding programs operate as educational management policies and as investments in human resource development.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of mobile games with freemium business models has increased the need to understand the psychological mechanisms underlying impulsive buying behavior. This study examines the affective pathway driving impulsive in-game purchases by analyzing the effects of aesthetic quality, competitive drive, user experience, and perceived scarcity on impulsive buying, with perceived enjoyment as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 216 active Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players in Indonesia who had previously made in-game purchases. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that aesthetic quality, competitive drive, user experience, and perceived scarcity have positive and significant effects on perceived enjoyment, with user experience and competitive drive emerging as the strongest predictors. Perceived enjoyment also has a strong positive effect on impulsive buying behavior, confirming its role as a key affective driver of spontaneous purchasing decisions. The study extends the Stimulus–Organism–Response framework and provides practical insights for sustainable mobile game monetization strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of positive reasons (reasons for) and negative reasons (reasons against) on attitudes and purchase intentions among Generation Z online shoppers using the Behavioural Reasoning Theory (BRT) framework. The study also compares how these reasons operate across different product categories, namely search goods and experience goods. Data were collected through a survey of 200 Gen Z respondents who actively engage in online shopping. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that positive reasons have a positive and significant effect on attitude, with a path coefficient of 0.607, making it the strongest determinant of consumer attitude. Negative reasons also significantly influence attitude, although with a much weaker effect (β = 0.090). Furthermore, attitude significantly and strongly affects purchase intention, with a path coefficient of 0.709. The R-square results show that 43.1% of the variance in attitude is explained by positive and negative reasons, while 50.3% of the variance in purchase intention is explained by attitude. These findings support BRT’s central proposition that reasons serve as rational explanations that shape attitudes before influencing behavioral intentions. Comparative analysis between search goods and experience goods further suggests that positive reasons remain the dominant factor across both product types. Overall, this research confirms that Behavioural Reasoning Theory is an appropriate framework to understand Gen Z’s decision-making processes in online shopping and provides practical implications for e-commerce businesses to strengthen reasons for in digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the comparative influence of digital marketing and brand image on purchase intention within Indonesia’s beauty e-commerce sector, taking Sociolla as the empirical setting. The research is motivated by growing uncertainty surrounding the behavioural effectiveness of digital marketing among digital-native consumers who increasingly experience advertising fatigue. A quantitative correlational approach was employed, and the data were analysed using a series of statistical procedures, including normality assessment, correlation testing and multiple regression, to evaluate the extent to which each predictor contributes to purchase intention. The findings reveal a clear imbalance in influence. Digital marketing does not demonstrate a significant effect on purchase intention, suggesting that promotional visibility alone is no longer sufficient to encourage behavioural responses. By contrast, brand image shows a strong and meaningful positive influence, highlighting the importance of credibility, authenticity and perceived product safety in shaping cosmetic purchasing decisions. The overall model displays a high explanatory ability, reinforcing the central role of brand-related trust cues in guiding consumer behaviour within high-risk product categories. The study contributes to existing theoretical perspectives by strengthening empirical support for the asymmetric influence model and extending signalling and trust–risk approaches to the context of Indonesian beauty e-commerce. In practical terms, the findings suggest that platforms should give greater emphasis to credibility-building strategies, including authenticity verification and transparent product information, rather than relying heavily on promotional volume. The study concludes that brand image is the dominant factor shaping purchase intention in online beauty product purchases.
