Abstract

Liver disease is a significant health issue that requires early and accurate diagnosis to prevent serious complications. In this study, we propose an outlier filtering approach using the Interquartile Range (IQR) to enhance the performance of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm in liver disease classification. A publicly available liver dataset consisting of 1,700 patient records with various clinical attributes was used, and the IQR method was applied to detect and remove extreme values before model training. The SVM model employed the Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel to capture nonlinear relationships in the data. The classifier was evaluated under two conditions: without and with IQR-based outlier removal. Performance metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC were used to assess the model. The experimental results showed that the IQR-based preprocessing improved model performance, with the accuracy increasing from 84.41% to 84.74% and the ROC-AUC score rising from 92.08% to 93.28%. Notably, the recall for the negative class improved from 84.31% to 89.76%, indicating enhanced detection of healthy patients. These findings demonstrate that outlier handling using IQR can contribute to more stable and accurate classification outcomes, especially for models that are sensitive to data irregularities such as SVM.

Abstract

Administrasi presensi mahasiswa yang masih dilakukan secara manual di menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan seperti ketidakefisienan, potensi kesalahan pencatatan, serta sulitnya integrasi dengan sistem informasi akademik. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi presensi berbasis QR Code sebagai solusi digital yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi perkuliahan, khususnya di Program Studi Sistem Informasi Kota Cerdas Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan aplikasi menggunakan pendekatan prototyping, sosialisasi kepada dosen dan mahasiswa, serta implementasi dan evaluasi sistem. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan dosen untuk menghasilkan QR Code unik untuk setiap sesi perkuliahan yang dipindai oleh mahasiswa melalui ponsel, dengan data kehadiran yang langsung tercatat dan terintegrasi dalam sistem. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mempermudah proses presensi, mempercepat rekapitulasi data, dan meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna. Kegiatan ini juga menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi sederhana seperti QR Code dapat memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap efektivitas layanan akademik dan menjadi contoh praktik baik transformasi digital dalam pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya keberagaman budaya, salah satunya bahasa daerah, dengan total 718 bahasa. Bahasa Jawa, yang digunakan di Jawa Tengah, Yogyakarta, dan sekitarnya, merupakan salah satu bahasa daerah yang memiliki peran penting dalam komunikasi sehari-hari masyarakat Jawa. Terdapat aturan dan etika berkomunikasi, seperti cara menyapa orang yang lebih tua, sebaya, maupun yang memiliki status sosial berbeda. Tantangan muncul karena pengaruh globalisasi, generasi muda semakin mengabaikan praktik etika berbahasa Jawa. Perlu adanya adaptasi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakter generasi muda agar nilai-nilai kesopanan berbahasa Jawa tetap dapat dipahami dan diterapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan pembelajaran etika berbahasa jawa melalui aplikasi mobile berbasis gamifikasi untuk mempelajari unggah-ungguh bahasa jawa.. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan gamifikasi untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar interaktif melalui misi, kuis, dan tantangan. Desain prototipe difokuskan pada pengalaman pengguna dengan mengintegrasikan elemen game mechanics dan game dynamics. Uji desain prototype dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 35 responden. Hasilnya menunjukkan 87% responden setuju dengan desain prototype yang diusulkan berdasarkan empat variabel yaitu kegunaan, kemudahan penggunaan, kemudahan belajar, dan kepuasan. Aplikasiini diharapkan dapat menjadi media pembelajaran yang menarik dan relevan bagi generasi muda serta berkontribusi dalam pelestarian nilai-nilai kesopanan budaya Jawa

Abstract

Secretarial management in village organizations is an important part of the sustainability of its operations because the management of activities and documentation containing information functions as a set of assets for the organization. Thus, a systematic approach to secretarial management facilitates the process of searching and retrieving documents when needed. However, several village organizations, such as Ikatan Pemuda Pemudi Banjarsari (IPPB), still manage documents manually, which can increase the risk of losing documents due to irregular storage. Referring to this problem, is the basis for the need for community service activities in the IPPB organization to implement a more modern and organized document management system through the Android-based E-Archive application. The activity methodology is based on organizational participation and empowerment, with the main priority being the needs of the community or organization. The implementation of PKM began with participants installing E-Archive on their respective devices, followed by demonstration assistance, and Q&A. The results of this service went smoothly, with this activity attended by representatives of organizational advisors and IPPB core administrators. Assistance focused on installing the application has been successfully carried out on each device, and its management has been carried out successfully according to its features. The facilities provided by multi-user E-Archive allow use according to each role in the IPPB organization. The presence of E-Archive technology solutions with IPPB secretarial management is more efficient because it can be easily accessed via smartphone and provides better storage space compared to manual document storage methods.

Abstract

Physically, development of plants will experience physical changes, one of which is the height of the plant. Monitoring activities will certainly be effective with the help of technology. The utilization of IoT is a technological breakthrough in that multitasking can be used for monitoring and sharing data simultaneously. So to support growth observation activities, this study aims to implement an IoT-based prototype modeling tool with ultrasonic sensors embedded in the NodeMCU microcontroller which is integrated with the database server. Modeling is used to analyze the workings of measuring plant height, involving case studies of mustard plant growth which are interpreted descriptively based on sensor capture height which is compared with expert-validated original observations. The research method used is quantitative data processing in the form of comparison charts. The data obtained in real-time by accessing the website address is available so that the data records are stored in the database server for as much as 1071 data for 33 days with 5 storage sessions a day. The results of the IoT prototype modeling managed to capture altitude data, with a comparison presentation between the height of the original plant and the sensor capture of 54.7% valid data without any difference. The conclusion from this study, there are still quite a lot of differences in the comparison of the two. This is due to modeling with improper sensor placement, so that it is detected outside the boundaries between predetermined objects.

Abstract

Stunting pada balita merupakan masalah gizi serius yang berdampak pada perkembangan fisik dan kognitif anak, terutama di negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Dengan prevalensi stunting yang masih tinggi, identifikasi dini balita yang berisiko sangat penting untuk mencegah dampak jangka panjang. Namun, metode konvensional dalam mengidentifikasi stunting sering kali kurang akurat dan memerlukan banyak sumber daya. Tujuannya penelitian ini dilakukan yaitu untuk mengklasifikasikan stunting pada balita berdasarkan status gizi melalui pembelajaran mesin dengan algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM). Pemilihan SVM didasarkan pada keunggulannya dalam mengolah data multidimensi yang rumit serta kapabilitasnya untuk mengoptimalkan pemisahan antar kelas data dengan memaksimalkan margin. Penelitian ini juga menerapkan berbagai teknik prapemrosesan data, seperti standarisasi fitur, pengkodean variabel kategorikal, dan penghapusan data duplikat, untuk memastikan performa optimal model. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa model SVM yang dibangun memperoleh akurasi sebesar 98,37%, menandakan kinerja yang sangat baik dalam klasifikasi status gizi balita. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa SVM memiliki potensi besar untuk diaplikasikan dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan medis dan intervensi kesehatan masyarakat, terutama dalam konteks pemantauan dan pencegahan stunting pada balita.

Abstract

The application of digitalization in urban contexts, particularly through Smart City initiatives, has become an important avenue to address the complexities of modern urban life. This study focuses on the Smart City Project in Surabaya, Indonesia, aiming to quantitatively analyze the impact of digitalization on sustainability indicators from a community perspective. A quantitative approach, including a survey of 190 residents and regression analysis, was used to comprehensively explore the relationship between demographic factors, perceptions of digital infrastructure and sustainability outcomes. The results showed statistically significant improvements in sustainability indicators, with waste reduction behavior and community satisfaction being particularly important. Regression analysis shows that age, income, and digital literacy significantly influence sustainability outcomes. These findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on Smart Cities initiatives, offering insights for policymakers, urban planners, and community leaders to increase the effectiveness of digitalization in fostering sustainable urban environments.

Abstract

Learning activities are the main activity in the overall teaching and learning process in schools. This is because whether or not the achievement of educational goals depends on how the learning process is carried out by students. The uneven level of student success in learning is one of the problems in the school's efforts to realize the vision and mission of SMKN 5 Pekanbaru in preparing skilled graduates to be able to work in certain sectors by the public interest and the industrial world. In this study, mapping and grouping student grade data was carried out using the Fuzzy C-Means algorithm to provide information to the school in making the right decisions and optimizing the learning process. Furthermore, clustering was carried out in several experiments K=3 to K=7, and obtained the best validity value tested with the Silhouette Index of 0.4277 located at K=5. Then the distribution of cluster 5 on student score data was obtained with details, namely cluster 1 with a capacity of 1 student, cluster 2 with a capacity of 27 students, cluster 3 with a capacity of 1 student, cluster 4 with a capacity of 10 students, cluster 5 with a capacity of 23 students.

Abstract

This research is a continuation of community service activities entitled "Introduction and Training of the Sportif.App Application as an Effort to Increase the Readiness of Sports Human Resources and Digitalization of Sports Data Information Management at KONI Surakarta City." Through this tridharma activity, the writing team continued with research aimed at describing and analyzing the benefits of Sportif.App in increasing the readiness of sports human resources through digitizing sports data information management. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which is based on the results of interviews and observations. The Sportif.App application really helps sports human resources by providing data management services that are easy to access and provide information at any time. Administrative requirements can be integrated with sports databases (such as sports, achievements, coaches, referees, etc.), documented, and uploaded through the information system, including verification mechanisms and information about required administrative completeness, as well as monitoring data progress. In this way, sports human resources can work effectively and efficiently in reporting at any time without being limited by time and space. Abstract

Early diagnosis and appropriate intervention are very important to minimize the long-term impact of Cerebral Palsy in children. Currently, the diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy in children is often based on clinical observations, developmental tests, and brain imaging. It requires medical knowledge and careful observation by an experienced health professional, which is often difficult to access in many areas. For this reason, early diagnosis by parents is very important for taking action against children suffering from Cerebral Palsy. This research aims to develop an expert system that can diagnose Cerebral Palsy in children using the Dempster-Shafer Theory algorithm as an inference engine to make it easier to diagnose and produce the right diagnosis. The Dempster-Shafer Theory approach works by calculating the level of confidence or belief in a hypothesis or certain event based on existing evidence. An expert system built on a website has the ability to make diagnoses based on symptoms and display diagnosis results, definitions of the type of Cerebral Palsy disease in children, as well as actions or methods of treating it. Based on the test results, the accuracy level obtained was a value of 90% and was classified as "Good" criteria.
