Abstract

Sharia-based insurance companies and businesses began to move faster in the last 10 years in Indonesia, along with the development of the sharia finance industry in general, such as sharia banks, sharia cooperatives and others. Since the establishment of this type of sharia insurance company in Indonesia at the end of 1994 with the product Takaful Family Insurance (life insurance). Sharia insurance has begun to be recognized by Muslim and non-Muslim communities to meet the need for insurance services that are increasingly felt by individuals and the business world in Indonesia. Insurance is a financial means in managing household life, both in facing the fundamental risks or in dealing with risks to the assets owned. The healthy impact of business and service companies such as sharia insurance is monitored by its financial performance. Either it is measured by Surplus On Contribution (SOC) or Return on Assets (ROA). This article tried to analyze the factors that affect the financial performance of Islamic Insurance companies in Indonesia, for the last 5 (five) years period, by including several positive and negative factors. The factors that the authors recommended in this analysis were Company size, Leverage, Liquidity, Tangibility, Volume of Capital, and Loss Ratio. The approach model for this analysis used a path model approach (Path Model's) with the assumption that each of the factors involved has a causal relationship with one another. So that the advantage of using this approach was its results will be able to give the direct or indirect effects of each factor on the financial performance to be analyzed.

Abstract

In Islamic economics, the monetary sector and the real sector must be able to go side by side. Even the monetary sector must follow developments for the real sector. The goal of Islamic economics is the creation of economic justice through equitable distribution of income, one of which is seen from the growth of the real sector, which is a representation of the level of productivity and welfare of the community. This is directly related to the business world. Therefore, when the level of community productivity increases, it will aggregately affect economic growth. On the other hand, one of the monetary instruments in Islamic economics is Islamic banking. This means that the increasing performance of Islamic banking must be in line with the increase of the real sector. The purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of increasing Islamic banking performance to economic growth through a literature study related to a qualitative approach, where the collected literature is analyzed by content analysis and the data is triangulated to make a conclusion. The findings of this study indicate that Islamic monetary instruments in the Islamic banking case contribute to economic growth through an increase from the real sector

There are several main topics in the research range, namely: Poverty alleviation, Waqf-based microfinance, Marketing & Fintech, Sustainability & Outreach, Maqashid Syariah and Risk Management & Governance. We also offer future research directions. First, related to efforts to identify innovative applications of Islamic microfinance schemes that shift their focus to sustainable development. Second, the issue of shariah compliance is less explored in shariah microfinance research. Third, the development of Information and Communication Technology develops a sharia microfinance model based on Sharia-based financial technology (fintech) to provide benefits for poor entrepreneurs with limited access to financial institutions. The results of this study can be used for future researchers and for policy makers to be used as material for discussion on the need for regulatory reform to increase the practical feasibility of Islamic microfinance as an institution for microeconomic transformation.

Abstract

Self Estimated Price, hereinafter referred to as HPS, is the estimated price of goods/services determined by the Commitment Making Officer, hereinafter referred to as PPK, which functions as an instrument to assess the fairness of the bid price and to determine the additional amount of performance guarantee value for bids deemed too low but cannot be used as a basis for canceling bids. The purpose of this study is to find out how to optimally prepare HPS so as not to create excessive profits so that there is no state loss. The method used in this research is qualitative and the type of this research is descriptive. The results show the lack of understanding carried out by PPK at the PBJ of the Regional secretariat of Binjai City in the perspective of the correct and inaccurate HPS compiler and does not control market prices and does not survey prices in the market. Profit + 15% overhead only for construction workers. The data used to prepare the HPS must be accountable and must be documented.
