Abstract

This study investigates the effects of social distancing and Work From Home (WFH) implementation on employee performance, with job stress as a mediating variable, in government-operated flight schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing a quantitative explanatory research method and data analysis using SmartPLS, the findings reveal that social distancing significantly positively impacts employee performance and job stress, with job stress mediating the relationship between social distancing and performance. Conversely, WFH does not significantly affect performance or job stress, attributed to the operational nature of flight training, which requires physical presence and specialized equipment. Job stress, when maintained at moderate levels, positively influences performance by motivating employees to adapt to complex tasks. Recommendations include enhancing training programs, implementing effective WFH strategies, and adopting stress management measures to maintain productivity and well-being. These findings contribute to understanding organizational resilience and employee management in safety-critical sectors during global crises.

Abstract

This research aims to explore studies on technology capability in eco-innovation and the role of corporate technology capability in supporting the emergence of sustainable innovation in companies during the period 2020-2024. This research uses a Systematic Literature Review approach. (SLR). This research examines relevant literature to understand the extent to which technological capabilities influence sustainable innovation. The literature examined in this study consists of journal articles indexed in Scopus for the period 2020-2024. There were 64 pieces of literature found, then a thorough screening was conducted, resulting in 15 pieces of literature that met the criteria. The study results indicate that technological capabilities play a role in supporting various aspects of sustainable innovation such as improving operational efficiency, collaboration with external parties, waste reduction, and compliance with environmental regulations. Furthermore, the findings indicate that technological capabilities drive companies to innovate, both radically and incrementally. This research concludes that technological capabilities are a key element for companies to overcome global challenges and enhance competitiveness through sustainable innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe individual characteristics, job characteristics, organizational climate, work motivation, and teacher performance, (2) analyze the influence of individual characteristics, job characteristics, and organizational climate on work motivation, (3) test their influence on teacher performance, (4) examine the influence of work motivation on teacher performance, and (5) explore the mediating role of work motivation in the relationship between individual characteristics, job characteristics, organizational climate, and teacher performance. This explanatory study involved teachers from SMA Maarif NU in Pasuruan in 20 districts, with a population of 485 teachers. The proportional random sampling method was used to select 110 teachers. Data were collected using a structured instrument distributed to respondents. The results showed that: (1) individual characteristics are shaped by interests, attitudes, and needs; job characteristics by skill diversity, task identity, task clarity, autonomy, and feedback; organizational climate by responsibility, identity, warmth, support, and conflict; work motivation by achievement, recognition, work rewards, and personal development; and teacher performance by professional, personal, and social competence. (2) Individual characteristics, job characteristics, and organizational climate have a positive effect on work motivation. (3) These variables also have a positive impact on teacher performance. (4) Work motivation significantly improves teacher performance. (5) Work motivation mediates the influence of individual characteristics, job characteristics, and organizational climate on teacher performance. This study concludes that work motivation plays an important role as an intervention, with the total influence of these variables on performance exceeding the direct influence

Abstract

This research explores the impact of Intellectual Capital (IC), Firm Performance, Firm Size, and Intangible Assets on Firm Value, while also assessing differences in IC's effect between firms with varying IC intensity. Additionally, it analyzes changes in Firm Value across the pandemic and post-pandemic periods. The study utilizes a sample of 45 firms included in the LQ45 Index, covering the period from February 1 to July 31, 2024. Data analysis employs multiple linear regression and the Difference-in-Differences (DiD) method using SPSS 26. The findings indicate that while IC, Firm Performance, Firm Size, and Intangible Assets collectively influence Firm Value, only Firm Performance, Firm Size, and Intangible Assets exhibit significant partial effects. Furthermore, no significant difference is found in IC's impact between firms with high and low IC intensity. The study also shows that the pandemic period does not significantly alter Firm Value determinants, suggesting firms have successfully adapted to changing economic conditions.

Abstract

Kinerja karyawan adalah penentu penting dari keberhasilan organisasi, terutama di bidang yang sangat teknis seperti pelatihan penerbangan. Penelitian ini menyelidiki dampak dari lingkungan kerja dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan, dengan budaya kerja sebagai variabel mediasi, pada divisi simulator di sebuah lembaga pelatihan penerbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah budaya kerja memperkuat hubungan kompetensi-kinerja dan apakah lingkungan kerja secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja. Pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif digunakan, dengan menggunakan data survei dari 40 karyawan di divisi simulator. Analisis jalur dilakukan untuk menilai hubungan langsung dan hubungan mediasi antar variabel. Instrumen pengukuran divalidasi melalui uji reliabilitas Cronbach's alpha, dan analisis statistik dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS 25. Analisis regresi digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh langsung, sementara model mediasi Baron dan Kenny diterapkan untuk mengevaluasi peran budaya kerja sebagai variabel mediasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, yang menegaskan bahwa karyawan yang terlatih dengan baik menunjukkan efisiensi dan akurasi operasional yang lebih tinggi. Namun, lingkungan kerja tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, yang menunjukkan bahwa prosedur operasional yang terstruktur dan kompetensi memainkan peran yang lebih dominan. Selain itu, studi ini menemukan bahwa budaya kerja secara signifikan memediasi hubungan antara kompetensi dan kinerja, menyoroti pentingnya budaya kerja sebagai mekanisme penguat. Hasil ini sejalan dengan literatur HRM yang ada, yang menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi memperkuat manfaat kompetensi tenaga kerja. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi teoritis dan praktis. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini memperluas kerangka kerja manajemen sumber daya manusia dengan memberikan bukti empiris tentang peran mediasi budaya kerja dalam model kinerja berbasis kompetensi. Secara praktis, penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi lembaga pelatihan penerbangan, dengan menekankan integrasi program pengembangan budaya kerja dengan pelatihan kompetensi untuk mengoptimalkan efisiensi tenaga kerja. Penelitian di masa depan harus mengeksplorasi faktor moderasi tambahan seperti gaya kepemimpinan dan kemajuan teknologi untuk lebih menyempurnakan strategi optimalisasi tenaga kerja di industri penerbangan dan industri terstruktur serupa.

Abstract

Every year, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in boosting economic growth and increasing gross domestic product (GDP) in many countries, including Indonesia. Among various business categories, agroindustry-based MSMEs stand out as one of the most resilient segments within the informal sector, particularly during economic crises. This resilience was evident in various situations, including the post-COVID-19 recovery period. However, the rapid advancement of digitalization, technology, and heightened market competition has created both opportunities and challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises. To enhance their performance, it is essential to identify the key components required for developing and strengthening human resource (HR) quality in alignment with current industry demands. This study employs a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that human resource competencies—namely education, skills, and abilities—significantly impact the performance of agroindustry-based MSMEs. The study focuses on a city known for its contribution to Indonesia’s agribusiness sector, with the aim of offering a replicable model for enhancing MSME performance in other agroindustry-oriented countries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan digital marketing dan e-commerce terhadap business sustainability melalui competitive advantage bagi pedagang eceran tradisional di Kecamtan Tanggul pada masa pandemi. Populasi penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah pedagang eceran tradisional di Kecamatan Tanggul. Metode sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non- probability sampling dengan teknik yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada pedagang eceran tradisional di Kecamatan Tanggul yang berjumlah 75 pelaku usaha. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis jalur dengan pengelolaan data menggunakan software SPSS 26. Hasil uji t diperoleh signifikan H1 sebesar 0,001, H2 sebesar 0,001, H3 sebesar 0,000, H4 sebesar 0,000, dan H5 sebesar 0,001 hasil tersebut lebih kecil dari signifikan yang ditetapkan yaitu 0,05 sehingga hipotesis diterima. Hasil uji sobel menunjukan t hitung diporoleh H6 sebesar 3,05 dan H7 sebesar 3,51 hasil tersebut lebih besar dari t table yaitu 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel digital marketing, e-commerce berpengaruh positif terhadap business sustainability melalui competitive advantage.

Abstract

This research presents a systematic literature review, including content and bibliometric analysis, regarding the role of financial literacy in supporting the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The systematic literature review approach applied found 23 articles that were highly relevant to the role of financial literacy as a determining factor in SME performance. This study combines previous research findings regarding financial literacy over the last 5 years which plays a role in three forms of performance: (1) financial performance; (2) competitive advantage; and (3) sustainability performance. The findings of this research have the potential to have important impacts for SMEs, SME partners, governments and policy makers. By highlighting the lack of financial literacy among SMEs, this study provides a context for understanding the importance of financial literacy for SMEs. This study identified many areas of research that had not been explored previously

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the suitability of the application of the marketing mix at Meryva Shop with sharia principles. This marketing mix consists of product (product), price (price), place (place), & promotion (promotion) which is often referred to as the 4Ps. Meryva Shop is one of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) which is engaged in the culinary and textile businesses. Some of its products in the culinary field are Drinkita, Snackita, and Iki Suki; Meanwhile, for the textile sector, women's clothing is varied, namely, pajamas and negligee suits. Meryva Shop has 2 places to run its business, namely through anstore offline located at Ndalem Giripeni Housing 106, Kulonprogo, and anstore online using theplatform Shopee. The method used in this research is qualitative. This study uses primary and secondary data with interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants used are the owner of the Meryva Shop itself and several of its customers. The results of this study indicate that the application of the four marketing mixes at Meryva Shop, namely the product mix, price, place/distribution channel, and promotion is in accordance with sharia principles. Abstract

The digital era requires libraries, including the UIN KHAS Jember Library, to innovate in attracting visitors. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in encouraging visitors to return to the library, with visitor satisfaction as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design and Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method, this study involved 160 active students from UIN KHAS Jember who had interacted with the library's social media as respondents selected through purposive sampling. The analysis results indicate that social media significantly and positively influences library user satisfaction (path coefficient = 0.697), and library user satisfaction has a very strong and significant influence on the intention to revisit (path coefficient = 0.797). However, it was found that social media does not have a significant direct influence on the intention to revisit, but is fully mediated by library user satisfaction. This means that social media acts as a catalyst to enhance library user satisfaction, and it is this satisfaction that serves as the primary driver for them to revisit.
