Abstract

Housing refers to both the physical product and the process of its attainment. Housing is perceived according to its performance and its usefulness varies with the level of comfort and hygiene it provides. The importance of people in housing is recognised not when housing complies with municipality by laws, but when people come to live in it and it has to be acceptable in a community. Housing also means privacy and is an expression of ways of life, aspirations and social relationships. Therefore, housing is the provision of comfortable shelter with available infrastructure, services and facilities that address the people needs.Denpasar have large the low-income housing and settlement provided by PERUMNAS and private developers as well. Yet, the fast growing of low-income housing projects in Denpasar is not guaranteed addressing the living conditions of low-income group. In fact, most housing projects, which is built both by private developers and PERUMNAS, lack physical quality, lack infrastructure and lack public facilities. This paper will try to investigate the role of households as consumers and the role of developers in providing better quality low-cost housing projects in Denpasar. The result is that the low quality of low cost housing project, caused by lack of instruments to force the builders to provide better quality and the households themselves also have no means to influence the quality of project as well.

Abstract

In carrying out the ceremony at the Sindetan Temple, Les Village, we always keeps his tetaring. The tetaring that is installed is usually made of materials, namely bamboo, slepan (coconut leaves), and rope. In making the tetaring, a lot of manners are needed and have expertise in making tetaring. In addition, the cost of making the tetars is quite expensive and takes a long time. After completing the piodalan, the tetaring is dismantled where the materials cannot be reused for the next piodalan ceremony. This is because these materials will spoil quickly. The solution to this problem is in the form of innovation in making tetaring from materials that are more durable and stronger. The materials to be used are iron and cloth. This iron is used as a substitute for bamboo and cloth is used as a substitute for slepan and rope. The Service Team has designed the tetaring that will be made so that it has aesthetic value to be seen. In addition, the tetaring will be made easy and comfortable to use and can be assembled and assembled. Tetaring can be dismantled, meaning that if it is to be used, it will be easy to install and vice versa when it is finished, it will be easy to dismantle. The tetaring design is then realized and has been supervised in the process. The tetaring that have been made are installed at Sindetan Temple and then handed over to the Sindetan Temple board. This will provide effectiveness and efficiency for the Pura Sindetan boarding house. So that the manners of Pura Sindetan don't bother anymore thinking about tetaring when there is a piodalan ceremony.

Abstract

Abstract

It is a common spatial formation of various centers during the monarchy era in Indonesia, in which a palace is located in close proximity to a sacred complex - the center for royal ritual activities. Puri Pemecutan as part of Badung Kingdom of Bali's past also has a royal sacred spatial entity called Pura (Temple) Tambang Badung, a highly respected site. However, various spatial changes have occurred within its immediate outer area which is classified as a residential zone. Such a development is viewed as a serious disturbance to the sacred attributes of this temple. The development and operation of the surrounding residential area have been claimed to intrude both physical and non-physical elements of the temple. This article is a summary of a study that aims to examine the typology of spatial changes taking place within Pura Tambang Badung's surrounding areas. This study applies a qualitative method with a historical approach to reconstruct past images. Data collection is done by a study of relevant literature, observation, and interviews. In its final stage, this study draws a thorough typology of spatial changes by considering three groups of determining elements, which are: first, the core determining elements which include banyan trees and road nodes; second, the peripheral determining elements which include road lanes, shrines of temple territories, open spaces of outer temples, temple bear houses, and bale banjar buildings; and third, the additional determining elements that include temple land which is now the Pasah Pemecutan Market area. Keywords: typology, change, element, royal temple, castle Abstrak Dalam pengetahuan tata ruang pusat kota kerajaan di Indonesia lazimnya dikenal adanya bangunan kediaman penguasa wilayah yang berlokasi tidak jauh dengan kompleks bangunan suci kerajaan sebagai pusat kegiatan ritual keagamaan. Abstract

The consistent annual increase in the number of mature population emphasizes the importance of humane and elderly-friendly urban planning. This type of planning requires an integrated approach that embraces three – but not limited – main urban elements, namely open space, settlement, and transportation. In its attempt to review available planning regulations and practices, this research studies elderly groups’ access to urban parks that are available across Denpasar City. Within, the service area is used as a tool to measure accessibility. The scale of this service area is analyzed based on a pareto distribution frequency of distance traveled before reaching a city park. This data is presented in a map using geospatial analysis which leads to the two categorizations of the primary and secondary service area. This study finds that Niti Mandala Renon City Park possesses the most extensive service area followed by Puputan Badung and Lumintang City Park. Mature park users go to these parks for both recreational and sport-related reasons. In doing so, they choose to travel by private modes of transportation. The elderly group also tends to visit with family member/s, especially when they aim for a park whose scale of the service area is extensive and that requires them to have a relatively long drive from home. This practice is frequently attributed to safety and cultural reasons. Keywords: urban planning, City parks, accessibility, elderly Abstrak Pertambahan jumlah lansia yang konsisten setiap tahunnya menimbulkan kepentingan perencanaan kota yang ramah lansia.
