The purpose of this phenomenological study was to describe and to find out the structural essence of school experience from the perspective of students at risk in vocational high school. This study also explored their achievement goals. A semistructured interview guide was utilized to gaining data from five participants. The application of criterion sampling offered the researcher access to in-depth information on the target topic recorded from the perspective of a specific group of participants who have considerable experience with the phenomenon.The results focused on the following points: (a) the specific and general themes of school experience; (b) the essence of school experience; and (c) the variation of their achievement goal. The essence of school experience is involuntary involvement. The school learning is perceived as a boredom situation. Productive subject matters or practices as thespecific curriculum of vocational high school were valued tiring and wasting time.From the perspective of the achievement goal theory, there are several goals which motivate the participants tostay and to continue their study, for instance: getting a job, achieving good exam scores, exploring and learning more subjects, avoiding parents punishment, avoiding of feeling ashamed andincompetence from others, and being as equal as others.

The new paradigm of learning has placed the students to participate actively in the learning process. One of the consequence is that the learning process must use the variative methods, not only about the transfer of knowledge from teacher to students. This research isaimed to test the impact of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) to the achievement of Psychology Faculty students in learning Statistics. It is assumesed that the numerical abilityhas a positive correlation to the achievement in studying statistics. So, the respondents numerical ability variabel is controlled using statistics. This research used experiment with Alternative Treatment Posttest Only With Nonequivalent Group Design. Cluster sampling was used to get two of four parallel classes ofStatistics. One class was used randomly as the class taught using TAI and the other class as the control group using conventional teaching method. The numerical ability of the twogroups was tested before getting a different treatment. The teaching with different method was conducted in five sessions.The numerical ability of respondents was tested after the treatment given to the two groups. The mid semester test score of the two groups were compared to the one way covariance analysis with the numerical ability as the covariable. The results indicates that Fscore of the the two groups 10.459, p<0.01. Residual Mean of study achievement for experiment group = 6.997 and control group = 5.464. The result indicates the significant correlation between the numericalal ability and study achievement in statistics (F regression = 43.483, p<0.01 and partial eta squared = 0.316).It can be concluded that there is a significant difference of achievement in studying statistics between the group of students who was taught with Team Assisted Individualizationand with conventional teaching method. The group of students who was taught with Team Assisted Individualization has higher mean score compared to the group taught using the conventional method.

This study aims to test the effect of cooperative learning methods, the jigsaw method to interpersonal relationship skill and teamwork of undergraduate students Faculty of Psychology in University A. This study used experimental method with one group and pre posttest design. There are 63 undergraduate students in Educational Psychology Class of 2008/2009 as the subjects. The measurement instrument was Interpersonal Relationship Skill Scale and Teamwork Scale. Interpersonal relationship and teamwork score compared before and after the learning methods were given and tested using paired samples t test. The result shows that comparing the pretest and posttest score of interpersonal relationship variable, we got t ‐1,748 with p = 0,043 (p < 0,05). This is indicated that jigsaw learning method has significant effect to improving the interpersonal relationship skill in undergraduate students. The analysis result in teamwork variable with comparing the pretest and posttest, we got t ‐3,50 with p = 0,001 (p < 0,01) which means the jigsaw learning method significantly effective to improving teamwork skill in undergraduate student

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh interferensi dan rehearsal terhadap retensi belajar matematika. Masalah interferensi dan rehearsal menjadi penting untuk diteliti pengaruhnya terhadap retensi karena pada era komunikasi yang demikian pesat seperti sekarang ini informasi yang masuk berbaur antara yang satu dengan yang lain yang menyebabkan orang menjadi lupa, sehingga perlu adanya usaha untuk meningkatkan kekuatan retensi individu.

Self-efficacy has an important role in career decision-making. The collected data showed that there were some students (grade 11 and grade 12) had confused to decide their career choice. The data proved that career guidance is necessary for high school students. If students get assistance earlier, students will be more confident to make career decisions in their future. Therefore, the \"PLANS\" training was given to grade 11’s students. The goal was to increased student’s career decision-making self-efficacy. This quasi experiment conducted using the untreated control group design with dependent pretest and post test samples using double pretest. Data were collected using Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale. The subjects were 34 students of grade 11 who had medium career decision-making selfefficacy (16 students of experiment group and 18 students of control group). The result showed that career decision-making self-efficacy of experiment group is higher than control group after “PLANS” training. The “PLANS” training contribute to 73% of career decision-making self-efficacy improvement.

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of autogenic relaxation training to increase the emotion regulation of the junior high school students. The Subjects in this study were the students of Junior High School M Yogyakarta. The selection of research subjects was based on the lowest pretest scores students got from the scale of emotion regulation, and the number of the sebject taken was 50 students. The placement of subjects into control and experimental group performed by using random assignment. The number of the subjects who followed the pretest, the posttest and the follow-up in full in the experimental group was 16 female students. While in the control group, the number was 19 female students. The results showed that the re was a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest scores in both groups experimental control). The conclusion of this study is autogenic relaxation was effective to improve the emotion regulation of the junior high school students.

The differences of subject load and limited ability of students in learning English give uncertainty to student of class VII in studying it. Uncertainty themselves (self-efficacy) could decrease the willingness of the students to gain expected achievement. This study aims to examine the effect of using Mind mapping Module for English (MMFE) in improving student's English self-efficacy on class VII. This research is a module validation through the method of quasi experimental design with untreated control group design with pretest and posttest dependent samples. The subjects were 31 students of class VII. Collecting data using english self-efficacy scale, comprehension test as manipulation checks, and MMFE module. Aiken's V statistic test was used to test the validity coefficient contents of module, while the mixed anova test was used to test the effect of MMFE module towards english self-efficacy. The result showed MMFE module valid by content and empiric to improving english self-efficacy of class VII students (F=5,433, p<0,05).

This research aims to determine the relationship between self-regulated learning and mathematics achievement in junior high school students. The dependent variable in this research is mathematics achievement which is measured using the mid-term examination. The independent variable is self-regulated learning measured using a scale of self-regulated learning developed based on Zimmerman’s theory (1989). Hypothesis was there is positive relationship between self-regulated learning and mathematics achievement. Subjects were 129 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri X in the year of 2016/2017. Data was analysed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation technique. Results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between self-regulated learning and mathematics achievement, r = 0.351 (p < 0.01). As a conclusion, the hypothesis was accepted.
