Abstract

One of the important human resources in hospital is nurses. Nurses with high employee engagement are expected to be able to provide excellent services to patients so that they can increase public trust in hospitals as health care. When demonstrating low sense of  engagement with their job in a hospital, nurses tend to be less friendly towards patients, causing complaints from patients. One effort to increase employee engagement is by providing work meaningfulness training. To this end, the purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of work meaningfulness training to improve employee engagement among nurses in hospitals. Participants were 16 nurses who were randomly assigned to either an experimental group or control group. The research design in this study was pretest-posttest control group design. The result showed a significant effect of work meaningfulness training on the level of employee engagement. Perawat adalah salah satu sumber daya penting dalam rumah sakit. Perawat dengan keterikatan karyawan yang tinggi diharapkan mampu memberikan pelayanan yang prima terhadap pasien sehingga dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap rumah sakit sebagai penyedia jasa layanan kesehatan. Keterikatan karyawan yang rendah pada perawat di rumah sakit menimbulkan perilaku kurang ramah perawat kepada pasien sehingga menyebabkan komplain dari pasien. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan keterikatan karyawan tersebut ialah memberikan pelatihan kebermaknaan kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menguji efektivitas pelatihan kebermaknaan kerja dalam meningkatkan keterikatan karyawan pada perawat di rumah sakit. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 16 orang perawat di sebuah rumah sakit yang secara random terbagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan pelatihan kebermaknaan kerja terhadap tingkat keterikatan karyawan.

Abstract

The establishment of the acceleration program for the elementary, junior high, and senior high school reflects the special attention of the government towards education for smart and special gifted students. The acceleration program has its own superiority as well as weaknesses, which are different from the regular program. To respond to the various anxieties related to the negative effect of the acceleration program, the author exposes various superiorities and weaknesses based on the theoretical review, integrated with the empirical reports from accelerated senior high school classes in Indonesia. A proposal to improve the curriculum, the human resource potential, and the operational technique are also discussed. Penyelenggaraan program akselerasi bagi siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA merupakan bentuk perhatian khusus Pemerintah Indonesia terhadap pendidikan siswa cerdas dan berbakat istimewa. Program akselerasi memiliki keunggulan dan kelemahan tersendiri yang berbeda dengan program reguler. Untuk menanggapi berbagai kekhawatiran terkait dampak negatif program akselerasi, peneliti memaparkan berbagai keunggulan dan kelemahan berdasarkan kajian teoretik yang dipadukan dengan laporan empiris dari kelas-kelas SMA akselerasi di Indonesia. Usulan perbaikan kurikulum, sumber daya manusia, serta teknis operasional juga dibahas.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of HIV/AIDS continues to pose a significant global health challenge, with developing countries experiencing the fastest growth in transmission rates, including Indonesia. This quantitative correlational study examined the influence of HIV/AIDS-related health literacy on adherence to antiretroviral (ARV) therapy among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), with peer social support considered as a moderating variable. Participants included 208 PLWHA residing in Majalengka Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Data were gathered using standardized instruments measuring HIV/AIDS health literacy, treatment adherence, and peer social support, and were analyzed through moderation analysis using Jamovi software. The results demonstrated that HIV/AIDS health literacy had a significant positive effect on ARV adherence, and that peer social support strengthened this relationship. Nonetheless, the study is limited by its cross-sectional design and reliance on self-reported measures, which may restrict causal inference and generalizability.

Abstract

Understanding help-seeking behavior among Indonesian university students is essential, as it reflects how they navigate academic and psychological challenges within a cultural context that often discourages open discussion of personal difficulties. Strengthening mental health literacy plays a crucial role in this process, as greater awareness and knowledge about mental health can reduce stigma and empower students to seek appropriate support when needed. This study examines the relationship between mental health literacy and help-seeking behavior among university students. A total of 268 participants were recruited using purposive sampling. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilized standardized psychological instruments, namely the Inventory of Attitudes toward Seeking Mental Health Services and the Multicomponent Mental Health Literacy Measure. Findings from the Pearson product-moment correlation analysis revealed a correlation coefficient of r = 0.381 with a p-value of < 0.001, indicating a statistically significant positive association between mental health literacy and students’ propensity to seek psychological help. Additionally, mental health literacy contributes 14.5% to the explanation of help-seeking behavior. These findings suggest that enhancing students’ mental health literacy could meaningfully encourage their willingness to seek help. Universities may therefore consider integrating mental health education into student development programs to promote more proactive help-seeking behaviors.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of self-confidence, psychological well-being on employability of vocational students. The subjects in this study were students of SMK Negeri 2 Langsa City (N=42). The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. This study uses a quantitative method with employability, self-confidence, and psychological well-being scales as a data collection tool. The research data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis techniques with the help of SPSS version 25.0 for windows. Based on the analysis process, the results showed that the major hypothesis was accepted, namely that there was a very significant influence on self-confidence and psychological well-being on employability. The analysis on the minor hypothesis is also accepted, namely that there is a significant effect on self-confidence on employability and there is a very significant effect on psychological well-being on employability. This finding shows that self-confidence and psychological well-being have a contribution in influencing employability of students at SMK Negeri 2 Langsa City, and psychological well-being is the most dominant factor in influencing employability Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh kepercayaan diri, psychological well-being terhadap employability pada siswa SMK. Subjek dalam penelitian ini ialah siswa SMK Negeri 2 Kota Langsa (N=42). Teknik pengambilan sampel  menggunakan cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan skala employability, kepercayaan diri, dan psychological well-being sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 25.0 for windows. Berdasarkan proses analisis, diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan hipotesis mayor diterima, yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan pada kepercayaan diri dan psychological well-being terhadap employability. Analisis pada hipotesis minor juga diterima, yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada kepercayaan diri terhadap employability dan terdapat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan pada psychological well-being terhadap employability. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri dan psychological well-being memiliki kontribusi dalam memengaruhi employability pada siswa SMK Negeri 2 Kota Langsa, dan psychological well-being menjadi faktor yang paling dominan dalam memengaruhi employability.

Abstract

This purpose of this study is to empirically examine the relationship between resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence with employability. The researcher used class XI and XII students of private vocational schools in Kutawaluya as research subjects. The criteria that researchers set are students who have completed the industrial work practice program. The research sample consisted of 78 students of class XI and XII Business and Motorcycle Engineering, XI and XII Office Automation and Governance. Researchers obtained it by means of cluster random sampling technique. The measurement instrument that the researcher uses is the Likert model scale (employability scale, resilience scale, self-esteem scale, self-confidence scale) which the researcher compiled himself. The data analysis that the researcher uses is multiple linear regression with the SPSS V26 program. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously there is a very significant relationship between resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence with employability (R = 0.884 and Sig. = 0.000). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the variables of resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence can be predictors of high and low employability , so that the higher the resilience, self-esteem, and self-confidence of students, the higher the level of employability they have. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara resiliensi, harga diri, dan kepercayaan diri dengan employability. Peneliti menggunakan siswa kelas XI dan XII SMK Swasta yang ada di Kutawaluya sebagai subjek penelitian. Kriteria yang peneliti tetapkan yaitu siswa-siswa yang telah menyelesaikan program praktek kerja industri. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 78 yang terdiri dari siswa kelas XI TBSM, XI OTKP, XII TBSM dan XII OTKP. Peneliti memperolehnya dengan cara teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen pengukuran yang peneliti gunakan adalah skala model likert (skala employability, skala resiliensi, skala harga diri, skala kepercayaan diri) yang peneliti susun sendiri. Analisis data yang peneliti gunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan program SPSS V26. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara resiliensi, harga diri, dan kepercayaan diri dengan employability (R = 0,884 dan Sig. = 0,000). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel resiliensi, harga diri, dan kepercayaan diri mampu menjadi prediktor dari tinggi rendahnya employability, sehingga semakin tinggi resiliensi, harga diri, dan kepercayaan diri siswa maka semakin tinggi juga tingkat employability yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

The character of grit is to emphasize the importance of desire, interest so that students can achieve the desired achievements when students have resilience and persistence. There are still many schools that have learning targets that emphasize the value of achievement rather than character building. As the result, it can be found the phenomenon of students who are not enthusiastic to maintain interest, do not have the resilience to overcome obstacles and challenges, and have a need for achievement with an unyielding mentality. The purpose of this study is to examine the theoretical model of the effect of school well-being on grit with a growth mindset as a mediator. Three hundred and thirteen school-age students were surveyed. The research instrument used in this study is a questionnaire based on a Likert scale model and being tested through several stages to obtain valid and reliable instrument. The finding suggests that theoretical model fits with the empirical data. However, contrary to expectations, results from SEM analyses indicates that growth mindset has no positive and significant effect in mediating influence of school well-being on grit of students from 10 Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools in four sub-districts of Bekasi Regency. Rather, results show two direct effects; that growth mindset and grit go hand in hand and that school well-being supportd growth mindset. Gender differences are observed in growth mindset and school well-being. Theoretical and practical implications for parents and teachers are also discussed.
