Abstract

This study aimed to find out more about Islamic Parenting in Sandwich Generation. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach. This research was conducted by collecting observation data and interviews with the parents of the SDN 027962 Binjai students who are the sandwich generation according to the journal of M. Sahal. The selection of the study location was based on interviews from parents of students who complained about their positions as sandwich generation. The study was conducted on 3 parents of students. The data analysis technique was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicated that the application of Islamic parenting in the sandwich generation has been going quite well. The differences found in implementing Islamic parenting were based on differences in parents' economic conditions, which gave impact to the availability of time and understanding of religion by parents who became the sandwich generation. Parents who had low economic conditions tend to use practical parenting and rely on the involvement of experts (parents or teachers) to cover the lack of time that can be provided to care for their children. The study concluded that efforts to implement Islamic parenting based on M. Sahal’s journal such as al-Mukalatah or socialization, al-I’tiyad or habituation, al-Ta’allum or learning, internalization and integrity, and religious children can be applied to families experiencing the sandwich generation.

Abstract

Abstract School is a determining factor for the development of a child's (student) personality, both in the way of thinking, behaving, and how to behave. Many problems (juvenile delinquency) arise in the process of adaptation and interaction between adolescents and their environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and religiosity together with juvenile delinquency in students of SMA Negeri 2 Medan. This study used a quantitative research method with a correlational approach with a sample of 208 teenagers. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and juvenile delinquency as seen from the value of the coefficient (rxy) = -0.777 with p = 0.000 <0.050, meaning that there was a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and juvenile delinquency. The higher the emotional intelligence, the lower the delinquency. teenager.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji teori humanistik Carl Rogers tentang kepercayaan diri pada anak broken home. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer disini menggunakan teori dari beberapa ahli humanistik dan data sekunder berupa wawancara, artikel ilmiah dan buku dari berbagai sumber. Dari beberapa kajian dan literatur yang telah diolah oleh peneliti, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dialami oleh subjek yang telah diwawancarai, peneliti menyarankan kepada subjek tersebut untuk melaksanakan Client Centered Theory yang dikenal dengan teori non-directive atau personal centered theory. dilakukan oleh staf professional.

Abstract

High school students need resilience to cope with academic pressures and demands. This study aims to examine the mediating role of self-regulated learning on the effect of social support on academic resilience among high school students. For this purpose, the study population came from one of the high schools in Medan City with a total number of 615 students. This study used total sampling to obtain effective results and partial least square (PLS) SEM. SmartPLS 3.0 was used to analyse the data. The results of this study show that self-regulated learning is able to partially mediate between the influence of social support on students' academic resilience. In order to improve academic resilience, it is recommended that parents and teachers provide active support to students as a tangible manifestation of the social support provided to enhance the development of self-regulated learning in students

Abstract

This study examines the role of principal leadership in improving teacher quality and performance within the Siti Humairah Study Group in Deli Serdang Regency. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that principal leadership accounts for 44.2% of the variation in teacher quality and 60.4% of the variation in teacher performance, highlighting its significant impact. Effective leadership practices, such as strategic supervision, professional development facilitation, and participatory decision-making, were found to enhance teacher motivation and collaboration. However, challenges such as limited resources and disciplinary issues underscore the need for comprehensive interventions. The study emphasizes the importance of adaptive leadership styles tailored to contextual challenges. Successful principals created supportive environments, provided constructive feedback, and facilitated targeted training programs. Additionally, transformational and participatory leadership approaches were shown to foster teacher engagement and improve teaching quality. Nonetheless, external factors, including organizational culture and individual teacher attitudes, were found to moderate the effectiveness of leadership interventions. This research contributes valuable insights to the discourse on educational leadership and its influence on school effectiveness. It underscores the critical role of principal leadership in fostering teacher quality and performance while addressing persistent challenges. Practical implications include the need for strengthened leadership training programs and increased resource support to overcome operational and cultural barriers within schools. These recommendations aim to inform policymakers and educational leaders in driving sustainable improvements in teacher performance and student outcomes.

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan formal yang berperan dalam membentuk karir dan mengembangkan kemampuan siswa sebagai persiapan untuk masa depan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan self-estem, minat belajar dengan kematangan karir siswa. Metode  menggunakan kuantitatif populasi 493 dan sampel 100 siswa. Alat ukur yang dipakai yaitu skala. Analisis data dengan Regresi Berganda. Berdasarkan hasil yaitu (1) Signifikan 0,712 dengan p= 0,000 < 0,050 (self-esteem dengan kematangan karir ). (2) hubungan  positif  nilai koefisien (rxy)= 0,937 dengan p= 0,000 < 0,050 (antara minat belajar dengan kematangan karir). (3) Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diketahui terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-esteem dan minat belajar dengan kematangan karir. Sehingga adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-esteem dengan kematangan karir, Adanya hubungan  positif yang signifikan antara minat belajar dengan kematangan karir. Apabila self esteem dan minat belajar tidak baik maka akan berdampak pada karir di masa depan. Kata kunci: kematangan karir, self–esteem, minat belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada orang tua anak autis di sekolah dasar dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi melalui self-compassion. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambil sampel total sampling yaitu 102 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala penelitian self-compassion, resiliensi, dan dukungan sosial. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif alat uji analisis yang digunakan adalah SmartPLS v.3.0 dengan metode analisis SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap resiliensi, dukungan sosial berpengaruh posifitif siginifikan terhadap self-compassion, self-compassion berpengaruh positif dan siginifikan terhaadap resiliensi, dan dukungan sosial berpengaruh terhadap resiliensi melalui self-compassion.

Abstract

Empirically, this study aims to see the correlation between spirituality and social support with the resilience of HKBP Deaconess School Students. The population in this study was 120 people and the sample was 92 people where the sample was taken using random sampling. This type of research is a quantitative research with multiple regression analysis technique where the data collection uses questionnaire that is processed by the SPSS program. The results showed that:(1) There is a significant positive correlation between spirituality and social support with resilience, the coefficient value (Rx1x2y)= 0,604 and p = 0,000 < 0,010. The contribution of spirituality and social support can be seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0,365 or 36,5 %. (2) There is a significant positive correlation between spirituality and resilience where the coefficient value (Rxy) = 0,538 with p = 0,000 < 0,010. The contribution of spirituality can be seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0,2894 or 28,94 %. (3) There is a significant positive correlation between social support and resilience where the coefficient value (Rxy) = 0,503 with p = 0,000 < 0,010. The contribution of social support can be seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0,253 or 25,3 %. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between spirituality and social support with the resilience of The HKBP Deaconess School students.

Abstract

One important aspect of early childhood education is the introduction to and memorization of the Qur'an, which plays a role in cognitive development and the formation of religious character. However, conventional and rigid learning approaches often cause children to feel bored and unmotivated to memorize. To overcome this, a fun approach is needed, such as joyful learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the joyful learning approach using tahfidz cards in improving the Quran memorization ability and happiness of kindergarten students. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects consisted of 34 kindergarten students in Medan City, divided into two groups: experimental and control, each with 17 students. Data were collected through a Quran memorization test and a children's happiness scale, then analyzed using the paired sample t-test and independent t-test. The results indicate that the joyful learning approach significantly improves memorization ability (t = 11.830, p = 0.000) and student happiness (t = 7.062, p = 0.000). The average increase in memorization was 17.706 points and happiness was 9.353 points. This study emphasizes the importance of joyful learning in supporting children's potential and emotional well-being.

Abstract

PAUD berkualitas merupakan tujuan dari suatu satuan diPAUD yang saat ini juga merupakan tujuan dari Pemerintah agar terciptanya PAUD berkualitas. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut tentunya dibutuhkan seorang kepala sekolah yang memiliki kemampuan untuk  menjadi pemimpin pembelajaran yang mampu melakukan asset-based approach yaitu memberdayakan asset atau sumberdaya yang ada di satuannya untuk mengembangkan sekolah, selain itu pendekatan kepemimpinan bersama atau shared leadership juga sangat dibutuhkan sehingga semua stakeholder sekolah merasa dilibatkan dalam kepentingan pembelajaran dan Pendidikan yang ada disekolah tersebut. Program “Sayonara” merupakan program yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah yang mana maksudnya adalah Kerja sama Sekolah, Masyarakat dan orang tua. Adapun bentuk aksi nyata yang sudah dilaksanakan adalah melakukan aksi sosial, membuat buku ajar aku cinta Deli Serdang, kegiatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan orang tua dalam bentuk WAG serta kegiatan-kegiatan sekolah, peningkatan professional guru dan pengembangan sarana dan prasarana. Aksi nyata tersebut dilaksanakan di TK Negeri Patumbak Deli Serdang Sumatera Utara.
