Abstract

In Indonesia, pesantren are evolving from being solely religious institutions to hybrid socio-economic institutions. These transformations stem from the assimilation of Islamic Digital entrepreneurial values and governance. However, the synergy of the facets in the candidate documents remains under-theorized and unchronicled. This research applies a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology through the TCCM (Theory, Context, Characteristics, Methodology) Framework to weave together 78 peer-reviewed documents published between 2010 and 2025. The four key development pathways were distilled from bibliometric and content analyses and are as follows: the digitization of entrepreneurial waqf frameworks enhances operational efficiencies and scaling; waqf as a productive socio-economic capital; trust and moral legitimacy are obtained through Islamic business ethics; and the access to and the challenges of intellectual property are hindering institutional scale. This Study stands out in the body of available conceptual and analytical works, given that the majority of extant literature provides a striated holistic synthesis. In response, the research proposes a hybrid co-creation framework that integrates Islamic Digital entrepreneurship values and governance. This framework aims to foster socio-economic inclusivity through the collaboration of Digital MSMEs and pesantren. This work combines Islamic values of spirituality with the digital transformation and the protective legal system into a singular theoretical construct designed to reinforce entrepreneurship grounded in pesantren values, and it develops the theory by suggesting a hybrid co-creation model for its implementation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the behavioral intentions of Indonesian Muslim students to infaq using online platforms. The study uses quantitative methods and PLS-SEM to analyze data from 306 university students in major Indonesian cities. The results show that Past Behavior Frequency, Positive Anticipatory Emotions, Perceived Behavioral Control, Religious Beliefs, and Subjective Norms predict intention to donate online among Muslim students. Intention, past behavior frequency, perceived behavioral control, and religious beliefs also predict behavioral intention to donate online. Attitude toward online infaq and negative anticipatory emotions do not predict intention. The study offers theoretical and managerial insights for academics and managers of online donation platforms.

Abstract

Introduction: Islamic cooperatives (KSPPS/BMT) operate under the dual mandate of financial intermediation and adherence to Islamic principles. Despite their rapid growth in Indonesia, empirical evidence on how Shariah compliance and the prophetic value of Amanah (trustworthiness) jointly shape service quality and member satisfaction remains limited. Objective: This study examines the direct and indirect effects of Shariah compliance and Amanah on member satisfaction at KSPPS BMT UGT Nusantara, with Service Quality as a mediating variable. Methodology: A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to survey data collected from 400 members across 52 branches. Instruments measuring Shariah Compliance (16 items), Amanah (5 items), Service Quality (18 items), and Member Satisfaction (15 items) were validated using SmartPLS 4.0. Results: Shariah Compliance significantly influences both Service Quality (β = 0.440) and Member Satisfaction (β = 0.106), while Amanah positively affects Service Quality (β = 0.278) and Member Satisfaction (β = 0.107). Service Quality is the strongest direct predictor of Member Satisfaction (β = 0.508). Indirect effects confirm Service Quality mediates both Shariah Compliance→Member Satisfaction (β = 0.224) and Amanah→Member Satisfaction (β = 0.141) pathways. All constructs demonstrate sound reliability (Cronbach's α ≥ 0.794) and validity (AVE ≥ 0.506, HTMT < 0.65). Conclusion: Embedding Shariah values and Amanah in institutional practice substantially improves service quality, which in turn elevates member satisfaction. These findings offer practical guidance for cooperative managers and policymakers seeking to strengthen Islamic microfinance performance.

Abstract

Green Waqf is a potential method for achieving prosperity, expanding financial inclusion, advancing Islamic justice, and eliminating disparities in poverty levels. This research aims to find a model of good waqf governance to generate sustainable income increases. It will be accomplished by developing an integrated waqf model incorporating an environmental perspective as a balanced scorecard. This study is a literature review that also includes descriptive analysis, and it employs balanced scorecard analysis as its framework for conducting research. The results of the research are used to compile the data. During this phase of the process, data collection methods are utilized in order to locate and collect information pertinent to green Waqf, waqf productivity, the balanced scorecard, and an Islamic perspective in a structured manner. The conversation illuminated that the Waqf regulatory system was not functioning at its full potential and required enhancement. The conversation inspired that the Waqf regulatory system needed to be operating at its full potential; this needs to be emphasized, especially as a response to the low levels of waqf literacy, nazhir capacity, and technology utilization. The waqf management system does not exist in a vacuum free of defects. It is hoped that by using a balanced scorecard, gaps will be closed by implementing strategies, particularly the productivity and growth strategies, to maximize waqf management and provide an understanding of waqf ecosystems, thereby increasing the productivity of waqf management, generating the profitability of waqf assets, and maximizing the distribution of Waqf to beneficiaries (mauquf 'alaih). It will result in closing the gaps.

Abstract

Introduction: Pesantren have long been recognised as centres of Islamic education; however, their role as institutions for developing Islamic entrepreneurship remains insufficiently conceptualised. Existing Islamic entrepreneurship models are predominantly derived from social entrepreneurship frameworks and often overlook the ethical and spiritual dimensions embedded in Islamic legal principles. This study aims to develop a comprehensive Santripreneurship model by integrating Maqashid al-Shariah and social capital within the pesantren context. Methods: This study employed a qualitative conceptual approach through an integrated literature review of Islamic economics, Islamic entrepreneurship, Maqashid al-Shariah, and social capital theory to construct a theoretically grounded Santripreneurship model. Results: The findings demonstrate that Maqashid al-Shariah functions as the ethical foundation guiding entrepreneurial behaviour, while bonding, bridging, and linking social capital serve as relational mechanisms that strengthen entrepreneurial capacity. Furthermore, pesantren culture provides the institutional identity shaping entrepreneurial values and practices. The proposed framework generates four theoretical propositions linking the internalisation of Maqashid al-Shariah, social capital, and sustainable economic empowerment, which can be empirically examined in future studies. Conclusion: The study concludes that Santripreneurship represents a value-oriented model of Islamic entrepreneurship that extends beyond profit generation by promoting ethical entrepreneurship, community empowerment, and institutional resilience. Future research should empirically validate the proposed model across diverse pesantren settings and examine its implications for Islamic microfinance and community-based economic development
