Abstract

Objective: Entrepreneurship has become a strategic solution to address unemployment in Indonesia, where the entrepreneurial ration remains relatively low at only 3.47%. This study investigates the role of entrepreneurship education in enhancing students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention within the context of higher education in Indonesian. Method: Using quantitative approach, this study utilizes PLS-SEM to examine relationship among constructs, while PLS-MGA was used to assess regional differences across. Samples consist of 537 undergraduate students who had participated in entrepreneurship education programs at excellent-status higher education institutions in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya, selected through purposive sampling.  Results:  The result reveals that entrepreneurial education has a significant effect on both entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Furthermore, entrepreneurial self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. The MGA results show no significant differences across the three cities, except for the effect of entrepreneurship education on self-efficacy between Jakarta and Surabaya.  Novelty: Overall, the findings suggest relatively consistent effects of entrepreneurship education across major urban areas in Java. This study provides practical implication for developing experience-based entrepreneurship programs in HEIs.

Abstract

This study aims to modify and expand the theory of reasoned action (TRA) framework by segregating attitude into two distinct variables: attitude toward cultural values and attitude toward health risks. Additionally, alongside subjective norms, this research aims to determine how these factors affect consumers’ buying and consumption behavior toward traditional foods sold in Indonesia. A survey method was used in this research, in which questionnaires were distributed to Indonesians who had purchased and consumed at least 2 traditional Indonesian foods within the past 6 months. After 3 months of data collection, 221 responses were obtained from eligible respondents. After analyzing these data using PLS, it can be concluded that attitudes toward cultural values, health risks, and subjective norms significantly affect consumers’ buying and consumption behavior toward Indonesian traditional foods.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of stress tolerance on job satisfaction among nurses working in a hospital in Batam City, with emotion management as a mediating variable. The research is based on the concept of emotion regulation and addresses the high-stress environment of nursing in Indonesia, where workforce shortages and emotional demands contribute to reduced job satisfaction, increased turnover, and potential declines in patient care quality. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 118 full-time nurses. Data were collected using structured questionnaires adapted from validated instruments to measure stress tolerance, emotion management, and job satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that stress tolerance has a significant positive direct effect on job satisfaction and emotion management. Emotion management also has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, emotion management partially mediates the effect of stress tolerance on job satisfaction. The model demonstrates moderate explanatory power and excellent model fit. These findings highlight the important role of stress tolerance and emotion management in improving nurses’ job satisfaction. Hospital management is encouraged to implement targeted training programs in stress management and emotional regulation to strengthen psychological resilience, reduce turnover, and improve the quality of patient care.

Abstract

Technological advancements have driven the growth of transactions on social commerce platforms. This study aims to examine the influence of social media marketing activities and perceived ease of use on purchase intention, with perceived value serving as a mediating variable and hedonic motivation as a moderating variable. Data were collected from 150 respondents in Jakarta and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results indicate that social media marketing activities and perceived ease of use have a positive and significant effect on perceived value. Perceived value also has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention and mediates the relationships between social media marketing activities, perceived ease of use, towards purchase intention. However, social media marketing activities and perceived ease of use do not have a significant direct effect on purchase intention. In addition, hedonic motivation was not found to significantly moderate the relationship between perceived value and purchase intention. The findings indicate that platform managers and business practitioners should focus their marketing strategies on enhancing consumers’ perceived value, as it serves as the primary driver of purchase intention.
