Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) thematic at Gorontalo State University in Tupa Village, North Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, was held to address fundamental land issues that still often cause disputes due to weak administration, unclear ownership, and a lack of public understanding of land law. Through legal counseling focused on implementing the complete systematic land registration (PTSL) Program in accordance with ATR/BPN Regulation Number 6 of 2018, this activity aims to increase community legal awareness, strengthen village government capacity, and foster synergies among the community, government, and related institutions. The implementation method is carried out in a participatory manner through material exposure, interactive discussions, and direct clarification of field problems, such as delays in issuing certificates, differences in understanding of wills and grants, obstacles to land measurement in hilly areas, and abrasion issues on river banks. The results of the activity showed increased public understanding of the importance of land certificates as an instrument of legal protection and economic access, increased public confidence in government institutions, and a shift in legal culture towards administrative order. This activity also affects students who gain empirical experience in understanding law as a social reality. Thus, this legal counseling not only increases public awareness but also strengthens sustainable development at the village level.

Abstract

Community service (PkM) in the form of educational assistance and legal consultation in Bulili Village, Duhiadaa Subdistrict, was carried out with the aim of improving legal understanding and assisting the community in resolving legal issues they face. This educational support and legal consultation activity was based on two crucial issues: the community's lack of understanding of marriage and inheritance laws, and their low participation in the village regulation formation process. These two issues were chosen because they significantly affect the realization of a safe, orderly, and prosperous village. The methods used in this community service program include interactive outreach and participatory-based direct consultation, combining educational and legal empowerment approaches for village residents. The results of the program indicate an increase in community legal awareness regarding rights and obligations within the family context, as well as the importance of active community involvement in the formulation of village regulations. It is hoped that this activity can strengthen the legal culture at the local level and serve as a foundation for the development of a just, inclusive, and sustainable village.

Abstract

The rapid commercialization of digital platforms necessitates recognizing digital assets as inheritable wealth. However, Indonesia currently lacks explicit regulations addressing digital inheritance under both civil and Islamic law, thus creating a profound juridical void. This normative legal research critically evaluates the legal standing of digital assets within national inheritance systems and assesses the urgency of specific protective regulations. Utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches, this study reveals that while digital assets conceptually qualify as intangible inheritable property, practical impediments regarding unauthorized access, complex ownership proof, and restrictive platform policies severely hinder successive rights distribution. Rooted in the responsive law theory, this paper ultimately concludes that enacting comprehensive digital inheritance legislation is critically urgent today. Establishing adaptive legal frameworks will guarantee absolute legal certainty, systematically facilitate secure asset transfers, successfully mitigate international jurisdictional disputes, and comprehensively protect the fundamental economic rights of all modern legitimate heirs across the entire Indonesian national jurisdiction.

Abstract

This study examines the legal liability of marketplace retailers concerning the distribution of counterfeit products across Indonesia. Utilizing a normative legal research methodology incorporating statutory, conceptual, and analytical approaches, this research thoroughly investigates retailer accountability within the expanding digital economy. The core findings demonstrate that retailers are strictly subject to civil liability through financial compensation, administrative liability via government sanctions, and contractual liability based on their agreements with consumers and digital platforms. The continuous circulation of counterfeit goods inherently violates consumer protection regulations and directly contravenes the fundamental principle of good faith, subsequently rendering associated sales agreements completely null and void under civil law. Furthermore, the current regulatory framework lacks comprehensive oversight mechanisms specifically targeting these digital retailers. Consequently, this study explicitly recommends strengthening legal regulations, enhancing mandatory product verification procedures by marketplace operators, and enforcing integrated preventive oversight between the state and platforms to effectively protect all vulnerable consumers.

Abstract

This study analyzes the legal protection of coastal boundary land within the framework of people-based economic management in Tomini Bay. Based on normative legal research methods, the study examined the 1945 Constitution Article 33, the 1960 Law, the Spatial Planning Law, Law 27/2007 jo. Law 1/2014, Presidential Regulation 51/2016 on coastal boundary boundaries, and Law 32/2009 on PPLH, to map the gap between norms and practices. The results of the analysis show three main problems: (1) weak implementation and enforcement of the law on violations of border utilization; (2) conflicts of control and ownership due to unclear land status, lack of mapping, and certification; and (3) unsustainable exploitation of resources that damages coastal ecosystems and threatens livelihoods. This study recommends strengthening legal certainty through participatory mapping and social certification, integrating national law with local wisdom (customary deliberation/mediation), and co-management models involving the government, community, and private sector. Thus, the Indonesian border land can be managed fairly, provide certainty of rights, and sustainably support coastal welfare.
