Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan profil dukungan sebaya dan resiliensi sosial mahasiswa tunarungu di perguruan tinggi inklusif. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei kuantitatif dengan instrumen skala Likert 1–5 yang terdiri atas 30 butir; 15 butir mengukur dukungan sebaya dan 15 butir mengukur resiliensi sosial. Data diperoleh dari 16 responden dan dianalisis secara deskriptif (mean dan simpangan baku). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat dukungan sebaya berada pada kategori tinggi (M=3,94) dan resiliensi sosial pada kategori tinggi (M=3,98). Item tertinggi pada dukungan sebaya terkait frekuensi diskusi akademik, konsistensi dukungan, dan berbagi informasi; sedangkan pada resiliensi sosial terkait perasaan kuat menghadapi tantangan, kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah sosial dengan dukungan teman, serta kepercayaan diri menghadapi dosen dan teman dengar. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan jejaring teman sebaya sebagai modal sosial untuk menopang ketahanan sosial mahasiswa tunarungu dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi inklusif. Implikasi praktis diarahkan pada program mentoring sebaya terstruktur dan pelatihan strategi coping sosial di kampus inklusifKata Kunci: mahasiswa tunarungu, dukungan sebaya, resiliensi sosial, pendidikan tinggi inklusif.

Abstract

In an effort to enhance the quality of learning services in Special Education Schools, it is essential to employ instructional media that are not only adaptive but also capable of providing stimulation aligned with the students’ individual characteristics. This study aimed to determine the effect of using e-flashcard media on improving the reading comprehension skills of a fifth-grade student with cerebral palsy at SLBN 1 Takalar. The research employed a Single Subject Research (SSR) design with an A1–B–A2 model, consisting of three phases: baseline 1 (A1), intervention (B), and baseline 2 (A2). Data were collected through direct observation of the subject’s reading comprehension performance across sessions. The within-condition analysis showed that during the A1 phase, data remained stable with no significant improvement, while during the intervention phase (B), reading comprehension increased with some variability. In the A2 phase, data became stable again, maintaining the same performance level as the final intervention sessions. The between-condition analysis revealed 0% overlap in both A1/B and B/A2 comparisons, indicating no data overlap between phases. These findings suggest that the use of e-flashcards effectively enhances and maintains reading comprehension skills in students with cerebral palsy. Therefore, e-flashcards can serve as an engaging and adaptive instructional strategy to support literacy learning among students with special needs.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru-guru Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) YPPLB Cendrawasih Makassar dalam membuat batik shibori sebagai salah satu bentuk pengembangan kreativitas dan pembelajaran keterampilan bagi peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, 15 Oktober 2025, dan dihadiri oleh kepala sekolah serta 18 orang guru. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, diketahui bahwa 90% guru belum pernah mengenal batik sibori, tidak mengetahui bahan, alat, maupun teknik pembuatannya. Metode pelatihan dilakukan melalui tahapan penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi hasil karya. Hasil evaluasi di akhir kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta (18 orang) menyatakan batik sibori mudah dibuat, instruktur memberikan penjelasan dengan jelas, bahan pelatihan memadai, serta kegiatan berjalan efektif dan menyenangkan. Selain itu, para guru merasa termotivasi untuk mengajarkan keterampilan batik sibori kepada peserta didik di kelasnya sebagai salah satu bentuk pembelajaran vokasional yang menarik dan kontekstual. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pelatihan ini dinilai berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan seni batik sibori di lingkungan SLB.

Abstract

Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have unique characteristics, including difficulties in understanding visual stimuli such as colors. On the other hand, the learning process in Special Needs Schools (SLB) still tends to be conventional and lacks the use of media that meets the sensory needs of autistic children. The lack of interactive, contextual, and technology-based learning media is one of the inhibiting factors in introducing color concepts. Therefore, this study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based color detector as a learning aid to introduce colors to autistic students. This research aims to develop an IoT-based color detector as a color recognition tool for autistic students at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), although this study is limited to the Development stage. The results show that the IoT-based color detector media is highly needed by both teachers and students in the color learning process. The media development process involved several stages, including needs analysis, design planning, and validation by content and media experts. The media was designed by integrating a color sensor and speaker with an IoT system to provide an interactive and engaging learning experience for students. The results of the content and media expert validations indicate that the media is fairly valid and usable, though minor revisions are required, implying the overall quality of the media is fairly good. Furthermore, responses from teachers also indicate that the media is practical and effective in helping autistic students recognize colors.
