The study results show that nazhir competency certification has a positive and significant effect on nazhir performance and non-nazhir participation in the waqf movement. The element of the competency certification assessment that has a high score is the attitude element. The component of Nazhir's performance, which has a high value, is from increasing the collection of waqf, while from non-Nazhir's participation which has a high value, is participation in the form of disseminating information to relatives, friends, and the work environment. Abstract

This research attempts to analyze the role of productive-based zakat program in reducing poverty level of mustahik (zakat recipient) households from the perspective of material and spiritual dimensions. The study utilizes primary data which is obtained from interview through questionnaire in DKI Jakarta and Bogor Regency. 221 respondents are selected and interviewed as research samples. They are zakat beneficiaries managed by BAZIS DKI Jakarta and Dompet Dhuafa. The primary data collection was conducted on February until May 2015. CIBEST model comprising four indices is used as tool of analysis. These indices are welfare index, material poverty index, spiritual poverty index and absolute poverty index. It is found that the presence of zakat utilization program is able to increase welfare index of the mustahik by 96.8 percent. The material poverty index and absolute poverty index can also be reduced by 30.15 percent and 91.30 percent, respectively. Unpredictable result occurs on spiritual poverty index in which there is an increase of two households living under spiritual poverty. It means that these two zakat recipient households suffer weakening spiritual values despite materially better-off in the presence of zakat program.

Abstract

Poverty is the most crucial problem in many countries including Indonesia. As a predominantly Muslim countries, there are several Islamic instruments to combat poverty, such as zakat. It is an act of worship that combines economic, social, moral and religious components to improve the welfare of Muslims, as well as reducing poverty. Abstract

Islam is a religion that commands humans to pursue happiness both here and hereafter. Previous research states that many factors can influence happiness. However, these factors emphasize worldly happiness which is temporary, while the goal that humans want to achieve is not only happiness in this world but true happiness in the hereafter. This study explores the factors that influence individual happiness and examines the impact of faith and other factors on happiness. This research uses a systematic literature review method, precisely the Prisma method and has identified 3540 research results from Google Scholar, and screened into 1265 documents, then into 99 and selected 87 qualifying studies. The results of the analysis of this number of documents found that happiness in Islam is divided into temporary and true happiness, here and hereafter. Happiness is influenced by material factors, and non-material factors such as faith and other religiosity behaviors. Happiness derived from material factors is temporary, while religiosity factors such as faith, the practice of Sufism and religious behavior bring a sense of closeness to God, and provide tranquility and peace, which is an indication of true happiness.

The background of this study highlights significant social changes related to the digitalization of zakat (almsgiving) management, particularly in the context of post-Covid-19 pandemic recovery. The research aimed to examine the digital transformation in zakat management following the pandemic from a maqasid syari'ah perspective. The study employed an empirical legal research approach, with data collected through interviews. Respondents were academics, muzakki, and staff from zakat management organizations (BAZNAS and LAZNAS) in South Kalimantan Province. The interview data were transcribed and analyzed qualitatively using a coding process facilitated by Atlas.ti software, version 8. The findings found that digitalization of zakat management, classified as an element of hajiyyah, serves as a solution to support the fulfillment of Islamic legal obligations, prevent religious violations, provide ease in human life, and expand access to zakat, particularly during the post-pandemic recovery phase.
