Abstract

Harvest time can affect the shelf life and quality of fruit during storage, therefore, the right method is needed in accordance with harvest time. This study aimed to optimize heat units as a harvest criteria of Barangan banana and its effect on fruit quality. The study was conducted at Sukabumi, West Java PTPN VIII in October 2018 to February 2019 using a Randomized Complete Block Design with single factor and five anthesis time: anthesis 1 (October 13rd 2018), anthesis 2 (October 20th 2018), anthesis 3 (October 27th 2018), anthesis 4 (November 03rd 2018), anthesis 5 (November 10th 2018). The results showed Barangan banana was harvested at a minimum heat unit of 1 234.50±2.76 0C degree days with a harvest time of 72-73 days and a shelf life of 16-17 days and can be used as a harvesting criteria. Different time of anthesis did not affect to harvested fruit size, shelf life, weight loss, physical quality and chemical quality of fruit. Abstract

This study disscusses student"™s errors in completing mathematical problems based on Newman"™s Errror Analysis and Polya Theory. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The subject of this study are 78 students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Cirebon. The study uses tests and interviews as data collection techniques. Students take a test to determine their mathematical ability, and the test uses sequence and series as subjects. There are 3 phases in collecting data: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Outline of Error analysis is created using five types of student mathematical error of Newman's Error Analysis and four types of student mathematical error of Polya Theory. The study results based on Newman's Error Analysis are errors reading by 1%, error understanding by 0%, error transforms by 3%, error processing ability by 5%, and error encoding by 7%. As the result of the study based Polya theory, errors when understanding the problem by 31%, errors when devising a plan by 11%, errors when carrying out the plan by 9%, and errors when Looking back by 33%. The result of the interview shows that the error occurs when students don"™t do calculations carefully, don"™t learn the formula, and cannot distinguish between sequence and series. Students also have a lack of understanding when completing the problem about compound interest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi dengan masalah yang ditemukan di MTsN 1 Kota Cirebon tentang rendahnya pemahaman konsep, siswa yang belum memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang baik kurang memahaminya siswa terhadap makna dari pembelajaran IPS juga menjadi penyebab kurang mampunya siswa dalam pemahami konsep. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan ada tidaknya pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan gaya kognitif terhadap pemahaman konsep. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda menggunakan SPSS 25.0 For Windows. Dengan mengunakan SPSS ini maka diperoleh hasil analisis data yang menyatakan terdapat pengaruh antara kemandirian belajar dan gaya kognitif terhadap pemahaman konsep sebesar Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel 15.105 >3,33 berdasarkan R-Square sebesar 0,510 yang artinya 51,0% sehingga sisanya 49% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak jelas dalam penelitian.

Abstract

Mathematical misconceptions hinder students' learning and understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to analyze the issue of mathematical misconceptions by developing interactive multimedia based on the cognitive conflict strategy. The research design used was research and development with Design-Based Research (DBR), combining qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. There were fourteen participants in this study including students, teachers, and expert validators, and the research procedure involved the implementation of interactive multimedia interventions. Data collection techniques had pretest and posttest assessments after the intervention, observations, and interviews. The research data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test. The study's findings indicated that the interactive multimedia intervention based on the cognitive conflict strategy effectively reduced students' mathematical misconceptions. The results also demonstrated improved conceptual understanding and increased engagement in the learning process. This research contributes to the field of mathematics education by presenting innovative and practical solutions to address students' misconceptions. The research implications suggest that interactive multimedia based on the cognitive conflict strategy can be used as a pedagogical approach to promote conceptual understanding and reduce mathematical misconceptions.

Abstract

Abiu (Pouteria caimito Radlk.) is a plant of Sapotaceae family that can be consumed fresh, processed, or as a medical product. The fruit and leaves of this plant contain bioactive compounds. This research aims to inform the interaction between leaf:fruit ratio treatment and foliar fertilizer on the quality of the abiu fruit. The study was conducted at Kebun Balungbang Jaya, Dramaga, Bogor, West Java Province, from July 2022 to November 2022. The experiment used a factorial split plot design. The main plot was a leaf:fruit ratio treatment (N1, 45 leaves:1 fruit, and N2, 30 leaves:1 fruit) on each tertiary branch, and the tiller plot was foliar fertilizer (P1: 1 g L-1, P2: 2 g L-1, and P3: 3 g L-1), which consisted of 3 replications. The results showed that treatment of the leaf-fruit ratio and foliar fertilizer did not affect the quality of the abiu fruit. The interaction between leaf:fruit ratio and foliar fertilizer had a significant effect on ATT, as indicated by the lowest acidity value in the leaf:fruit ratio treatment of 45:1 and a fertilizer concentration of 1 g L-1 with a value of 0.12% but has no significant effect on the external and internal quality of other fruits. Abstract

This study provides a bibliometric review of research on the treatment of learning anxiety in Islamic psychology, which involved a systematic search in multiple databases, resulting in 91 relevant studies for analysis. The bibliometric data generated from the investigation, identification, and extraction processes were analyzed using statistical analysis. The study found that cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and stress reduction therapy were the most commonly used methods to treat learning anxiety. Furthermore, most studies were conducted in the United Kingdom and the United States, which suggests a need for further research in other regions. Studies found that the most frequently discussed topics on treating learning anxiety in Islamic psychology were psychological interventions, educational practices, and the impact of Islamic beliefs and practices on learning anxiety. Additionally, the study identified variations in the quality of studies, with some demonstrating high quality while others indicating a risk of bias. This paper emphasizes the importance of conducting further research on the treatment of learning anxiety in Islamic psychology, particularly in other regions. These findings could be valuable for academics, researchers, and psychology practitioners interested in treating learning anxiety and educators seeking to better understand and address this issue in their students. Further studies can focus on developing therapy models tailored to Islamic Psychology's principles to provide more optimal outcomes in addressing learning anxiety.

Abstract

Tetragonula laeviceps was one of the most stingless bees that spread almost throughout Indonesia and produced honey and propolis. Nutmeg is one of the native plants of Indonesia, can be used by stingless bees. The aim of this study was to know the activity of Tetragonula laeviceps in monoculture and polyculture nutmeg plantation. The method used in this research is observation for outgoing and return activity, and t-test used to determine the activity. The result showed that the activity start at 6 am until 5 pm, and the peak activities are at 10 – 12 am. T-test shows the difference activities (P < 0,05) with the score 36,5 ± 20,9 bees/5 minutes at monoculture plantation and 24,88 ± 8,96 bees/ 5 minutes at polyculture plantation. The feed availability and the distance between the hive and plants are thought to influence the activities of bees in both location. External activities of Stingless bees are forage nectar, pollen and resin. Other activities are disposing of trash, driving out disabled bees from the hives, and protecting the hive from enemy attacks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impostor phenomenon of students and its relationship with self-esteem and atychiphobia in mathematics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gegesik. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design and criterion sampling technique. The subjects of the study were 143 grade XI students, where 8 students were identified as experiencing the impostor phenomenon with the criteria "Very High". These findings indicate a moderate negative correlation between the impostor phenomenon and self-esteem, and a positive correlation between the impostor phenomenon and atychiphobia. The implications of this study are the importance of focused psychological interventions to overcome the impostor phenomenon and atychiphobia, as well as self-esteem development programs that can help students increase their self-confidence in academic contexts, especially in mathematics.

Abstract

Several studies revealed that mathematics problems in textbooks, which were expected to encourage students’ reasoning and problem-solving skills, were still lacking. This study aimed to compare Pythagorean problems in Indonesian and Singaporean mathematics textbooks based on the cognitive level of Bloom's taxonomy, representation form, contextual feature, and response type. The data were collected through documentation and observation. The research results indicated that on the cognitive level, the C3-C4 level dominated the Pythagorean problems in Indonesian and Singaporean textbooks. Regarding representation form, Pythagorean problems in Indonesian textbooks used visual and combined forms, while Singaporean textbooks applied mostly combined forms. In contextual feature and response type, Pythagorean problems in Indonesian and Singaporean textbooks used non-application and closed-ended problems. Therefore, the result of this study is expected to contribute to the improvement of high-quality mathematics textbooks, which can compete internationally to support students’ learning. Abstract: Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan soal-soal matematika dalam buku ajar Indonesia yang diharapkan dapat mendorong kemampuan penalaran dan pemecahan masalah siswa masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan soal-soal Teorema Pythagoras dalam buku matematika Indonesia dan Singapura berdasarkan tingkat kognitif Bloom, bentuk representasi, fitur kontekstual, dan tipe respon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tingkat kognitif, soal Pythagoras dalam buku teks Indonesia dan Singapura sebagian besar berada pada kategori C3-C4. Terkait bentuk representasi, soal-soal Pythagoras dalam buku Indonesia lebih banyak menggunakan bentuk visual dan gabungan, sedangkan buku Singapura lebih banyak menggunakan bentuk gabungan. Pada aspek fitur kontekstual dan tipe respon, soal-soal Pythagoras baik dalam buku Indonesia dan buku Singapura menggunakan soal non-aplikasi dan soal tertutup. Oleh kare itu, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas buku teks matematika yang dapat bersaing secara internasional, untuk mendukung pembelajaran siswa.

Abstract

Pisang merupakan komoditas yang banyak ditemukan di pasar, dan cukup potensial untuk dibudidayakan. Pisang mudah diolah untuk dijadikan bahan pangan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji akumulasi satuan panas yang tepat sebagai kriteria panen terukur pisang Tanduk serta pengaruhnya terhadap mutu fisik dan kimia pada tingkat kematangan pascapanen yang sama. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Sukamantri, Bogor, Jawa Barat pada ketinggian 550 meter di atas permukaan laut pada bulan Desember 2021 hingga April 2022. Pengujian kualitas fisik dan kualitas kimia pisang Tanduk dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pascapanen, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian, Institut Pertanian Bogor. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan tiga ulangan untuk menguji tujuh umur panen: 70,75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 hari setelah antesis (HAS). Satuan panas tersebut setara dengan satuan panas: 1035, 1111, 1188, 1262, 1332, 1398, 1444 ˚C hari. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pisang Tanduk yang dipanen pada umur panen 70-100 HSA di Kebun Percobaan Sukamantri dengan satuan panas 1035.15-1443.90 ˚C hari tidak mempengaruhi komponen produksi, komponen fisik, laju respirasi, dan kualitas kimia pada kematangan pascapanen yang sama kecuali PTT dan rasio PTT/ATT.
