Abstract

Abstract

Privatization is one of the Government's efforts to obtain additional capital with one of the goals for the efficiency of BUMN. The efficiency of BUMN due to privatization needs to be studied through data processed using a statistical approach. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that BUMN is relatively more efficient before privatization compared to after privatization, then it is found that from the tested variables, there are 3 factors that affect the efficiency of construction BUMN, namely total assets, economic growth and interest rate. Privatization has no effect on the efficiency of Construction SOEs. This shows that the privatization carried out has no effect on the company's performance. This can happen because the shares sold to the public are relatively small. The government is still dominant as a shareholder, so management control from the government is still dominant.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/afr.v4i2.6234

Abstract

The aim of the research was to probe farmer’s knowledge, attitude and action on the use of pesticide and its impact on the health of the farmers and the population of various organisms.  The research was conducted in the production center of shallot at Nganjuk regency of East Java Province from March to August 2002 and used the survey method.  The number of respondents was 192 farmers selected based on the Stratified Sampling method at six villages from three sub-districts.  The results showed that the SLPHT farmers had a high level of attitude and knowledge on the use of pesticide whereas the non-SLPHT farmers only had low to moderate level of both.  However, the farmer’s attitude and knowledge were not implemented when they applied the pesticide on their crop.  Harmful effects of the pesticide misuse have degraded the farmer health with symptoms such as unconscious, blindness and also acetilcollin enzyme disorder.  The population of local organisms was also reduced.  In conclusion, the farmers had overlooked their own knowledge and attitude when pesticides were applied in the field, consequently the farmers’ health were at risk.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of interest by farmers in using the services of formal financial institutions, especially digital financial services (DFS). The methods of the research were descriptive statistics and SEM analysis. The majority of respondents (50%) farmed an average area of land less than 0.5 hectares, 26% of respondents an average of 0.75-1 hectares and 24% of respondents an average of 0.5-0.75 hectares of land. Based on the status of land ownership, as many as 76% of respondents owned the property itself, 19% had a “lease” arrangement and 5% used state owned “arable”land. A total of 27% of the farmers were interested in using DFS while 34% were not. The lack of intereset was due to practical uses, enjoyment of cash and lack of knowledge. The reason for interest in DFS included practicality, speed, and security of use. Results from the SEM model indicate a significant and positive influence of Access to Usage, significant and negative influence of DFS to Access, significant and positive influence of DFS to Interest, significant and positive of Interest to Desire, and a significant and positive Desire to Access.
