Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan model pembelajaran guided inquiry approach dan modified free inquiry approach terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Polong bangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment dengan pretest posttest control group design. Dari hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran guided inquiry approach dan modified free inquiry approach cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sedangkan berdasarkan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran guided inquiry approach dan modified free inquiry approach kelas VIII SMPN 2 Polongbangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar.Abstract:This research aims to determine the comparison of learning models guided inquiry approach and modified free inquiry approach to solving the problems of mathematics students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Polongbangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar. This research type is quasi experiment research with pretest-posttest control group design. From descriptive analysis result shows that guided inquiry approach model and modified free inquiry approach is effective to improve students problem solving abilities of mathematics while based on hypothesis test show that there is no significant difference in mean score of mathematics learning outcomes between students taught using guided inquiry approach model and modified free inquiry approach class VIII SMPN 2 Polongbangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar.

Abstract

AbstrakPelaksanaan pembelajaran di Indonesia dalam menghadapi masa covid-19 menuntut guru untuk tetap berperan aktif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat proses pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peran guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik selama masa pandemi covid-19 yaitu 1) pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara luring atau BDR, 2) menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, 3) menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi, 4) penerapan media pembelajaran menggunakan laptop dan fasilitas belajar yang ada di rumah, 5) memperlihatkan hasil belajar, 6) pemberian motivasi, tugas, pujian dan hukuman atas hasil kerja peserta didik, 7) melakukan penilaian, 8) menjalin kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua. Sedangkan yang menjadi faktor utama pendukung guru guna meningkatkan kembali minat belajar peserta didik adalah dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas rumah yang mendukung pembelajaran dan sarana belajar. Kemudian yang jadi faktor utama penghambat guru adalah keterbatasan waktu yang dimiliki guru dan juga peserta didik saat melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar.AbstractThe implementation of learning in Indonesia in facing the Covid-19 required teachers to increase students' interest in learning. This research aimed to describe the role of the teacher in increasing students' interest in learning and finding the supporting and inhibiting factors of the learning process. The method used was descriptive qualitative. The results indicated that the teachers’ role in increasing students' interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely 1) learning carried out offline or BDR, 2) creating a pleasant learning atmosphere, 3) using a variety of learning methods, 4) implementing learning media using laptops and learning facilities at home, 5) showing the learning outcomes, 6) giving motivation, reports, and authority over the students’ works, 7) doing an assessment, 8) establishing cooperation between teachers and parents. Meanwhile, the main factor supporting teachers to increase students' interest in learning was utilizing home facilities that support the learning process. The main factor inhibiting the teacher was the limited time that the teacher and students have when carrying out the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan media komik berbasis pendekatan saintifik yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Research and Development yang mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba terbatas yang dilakukan pada kelas V SDN 250 Bulu Kabupaten Soppeng, diperoleh bahwa: (1) hasil validasi media komik adalah 4,01 pada kategori valid, (2) hasil kepraktisan media komik adalah 95% dan berada pada kategori sangat positif, dan (3) hasil keefektifan karena telah memenuhi tiga kriteria yaitu kemampuan guru saat mengelola pembelajaran 4,7 (kategori sangat baik), persentase aktivitas peserta didik 86,1% (kategori sangat baik) dan persentase ketuntasan belajar peserta didik berkategori tinggi serta mencapai ketuntasan klasikal yaitu 100%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam tahap uji coba terbatas yang dilaksanakan, media komik berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi pengukuran telah memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Media komik berbasis pendekatan saintifik dapat digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar di sekolah dasar, tampilan yang menarik membuat aktivitas peserta didik semakin baik dan meningkatkan ketuntasan hasil belajar matematika.AbstractThis study aimed to investigate the level of validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the developing comic media based on the scientific approach. The method used was Research and Development with ADDIE model. Based on the results of the limited test conducted at the fifth-grade students of SDN 250 Bulu in Soppeng Regency, it was found that: (1) the validation result of comic media was 4.01 in the valid category, (2) the practicality result of comic media was 95% which was in the very positive category, and (3) the results of the effectiveness had fulfilled three criteria, namely the teacher’s ability to manage learning was 4.7 (very good category), students’ activities were 86.1% (very good category) and the students’ learning completeness was categorized high and achieving 100% of classical completeness. Therefore, it could be concluded that in the limited test stage, comic media based on the scientific approach to the measurement material had fulfilled the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Comic media based on the scientific approach can be used in the teaching and learning process in elementary schools because attractive media makes the students’ activities better and improves their mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to describe the understanding of the learning concepts of students taught using the mini book and crossword puzzle media in learning material of diversity in Indonesia. The type of research was a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The population \were 3 classes, namely class IV A, B, and C of MIN Bima City for the 2020/2021 academic year, consisting of 97 students. The instrument used was a test. The data analysis technique used descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicated that (1) the average value of students’ understanding taught with mini-book was higher than without using media, (2) students taught with crossword puzzle media were higher than without using media, and (3) there was a significant difference in students' understanding of learning concepts on the material of diversity in Indonesia between the mini book and crossword puzzle media. The implication of this research showed that the mini book and crossword puzzle media could increase students' understanding of learning concepts.
