Abstract

This research developed a paper indicator made from extracted Ashoka flower, Ixora coccinea Linn, with solvent and the soaking period variances. Ashoka flower is a plant containing anthocyanin pigment. The plant is sensitive to acidic levels of pH. The content of the Ashoka flower brings significant potential as a natural indicator. The researchers extracted the anthocyanin pigment of the lower with the maceration method with 96% and 70% ethanol solvents for 24 hours. The researchers calibrated the extracted ethanol with buffer solution under pH 1-12. Then, the researchers cut 42 Whatman papers sized ±5x1 cm. The researchers put the papers into the mixtures of the extracted ethanol within 48 - 72 hours of the soaking period. After that, the researchers dried out the papers and examined the solution in terms of acid-base level. The papers made of extracted ethanol from Ashoka flower on solutions of HCl, CH3COOH, NH4OH, NaOH had their colors changed into brighter pink, pink, light green, and green-brownish. The color changes on the developed paper indicators made of extracted ethanol from Ashoka were extremely clear with a condition of 96% ethanol solution and 72 hours of soaking period.

Abstract

Experimental activities are part of physics learning process with the aim of gaining knowledge and having good understanding of physics concepts. Sound and organ pipes are the main subjects discussed in physics and engineering lessons. These materials contain facts accompanied by actualization in everyday life in social life. However, the fact in high school (SMA) physics learning is that experimental activities in supporting students’ learning and understanding have not been widely carried out. This is due to the lack of practical support tools. The purposes of this research are to design a sound experimentation tool design of an open and closed organ pipes and to determine the value of the speed of sound which propagates through air medium using a data acquisition technique assisted by sound analysis oscilloscope software. This type of research is a Research and Development research with five stages referring to the ADDIE model. The first stage was analysis, that was done by conducting a study of the problems of physics learning at senior high school level, especially in sound chapter. The second stage was design, namely designing experimentation tools. The third stage was development, that was done by providing materials that were used in the experiment. The fourth stage was implementation, that was testing the tool which had been made combined with sound analysis oscilloscope software, and the fifth was conducting an evaluation and feasibility test based on the validity of the experimental data. The data analysis technique used average and linear regression by utilizing the results of data from frequency analysis using sound analysis oscilloscope software. The results showed that the experimentation tool in this study was able to be used as learning media for the sound and open and closed organ pipes materials. The experimental results obtained that the speed of the sound waves propagation in air for an open organ pipe was v = 332.19 m/s with an accuracy rate of 97.70%. While the value of the speed of the sound waves in air for a closed organ pipe was v = 334.69 m/s with an accuracy rate of 98.44%.

Abstract

Factors that affect the growth of catfish include water temperature, pH levels, and feeding according to the growth of catfish. Feeding and water replacement are currently still done manually, using human power. Maintaining feed and water quality in the tub automatically is necessary to save time and effort. The automatic settings to maintain feed and water temperature as well as good water acidity for catfish in the tub can use the NodeMCU microcontroller. This research method is carried out by designing tools, testing tools, objects and stages of tools and concluding. Parameters of water temperature and pH levels of water are sent to the telegram application, as well as to regulate the discharge of water, a pump that works automatically is used through a relay that is installed automatically. The monitoring results are successfully displayed via the ThingViewer application. The tool has worked well with tests carried out including testing the design of the tool, testing the temperature sensor, testing the pH sensor, and testing the sending of orders from Telegram. The yields obtained were different between the two treatments, namely without using tools (non-tools) using tools (tools), the ideal growth of catfish for a temperature of 29 °C and a minimum pH of 6.5 and a maximum of 9.

Abstract

Abstrak. Abad 21 perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan informasi berlangsung sangat cepat dan penuh persaingan. Pendidikan ditantang untuk memusatkan perhatian pada terbentuknya manusia masa depan yang memiliki karakteristik diantaranya kepekaan, kemandirian, dan tanggung jawab. Paradigma pendidikan telah mengalami pergeseran dari paradigma behavioristik menuju konstruktivistik yang ditandai adanya perbedaan orientasi pembelajaran. Tujuan makalah ini adalah untuk menganalisis proses belajar menurut teori konstruktivistik dan implementasinya dalam pembelajaran IPA abad 21.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi Pustaka. Hal pertama yang dilakukan peneliti yaitu memberikan definisi konstruktivisme dan pembelajaran abad 21. Langkah kedua adalah mencari informasi tentang proses belajar mengajar menurut teori konstruktivistik dan pembelajaran IPA abad 21. Langkah ketiga yaitu peneliti mensintesis beberapa informasi tentang implementasi konstruktivisme dalam pembelajaran IPA abad 21.Berdasarkan kajian pustaka menunjukkan bahwa proses belajar mengajar menurut teori konstruktivistik melibatkan peran guru, siswa, sarana prasarana, dan evaluasi belajar. Implementasi pembelajaran konstruktivisme dalam pembelajarn IPA abad 21 meliputi keterampilan siswa dalam pemahaman, analisis, penerapan pada kelompok eksperimen dalam berkolaborasi, dan penggunaan bahan ajar dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: konstruktivisme, pembelajaran IPA, abad 21 Abstract. In the 21st century, the development of science, technology, and information is very fast and full of competition. Education is challenged to draw attention to the formation of a future that is one of them, independent, and responsible. The educational paradigm has experienced a shift from a behavioral paradigm to a constructivist one marked by differences in learning orientation. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the learning process according to constructivist theory and its implementation in science learning in the 21st century.The method used in this research is library study. The first thing the researcher did was to provide a definition of constructivism and 21st century learning. The second step was to find information about the teaching and learning process according to constructivist theory and 21st century science learning. The third step was to synthesize some information about the implementation of constructivism in 21st century science learning.Based on the literature review, it shows that the learning process according to constructivist theory involves the role of teachers, students, infrastructure, and learning evaluation. The implementation of constructivism learning in science learning in the 21st century includes students' skills in understanding, analyzing, applying to experimental groups in collaboration, and using learning materials and can improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah 1) untuk menganalisis hubungan antara literasi kesehatan dengan berat badan dan literasi gizi dengan berat badan, 2) untuk menganalisis hubungan antara literasi kesehatan dengan status gizi dan literasi gizi dengan status gizi, 3) menganalisis pengaruh literasi kesehatan dan literasi gzi terhadap berat badan dan 4) menganalisis pengaruh literasi kesehatan dan literasi gzi terhadap status gizi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross sectional dengan subyek penelitian mahasiswa UNNES. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling, dengan sampel yang telah ditentukan yakni mahasiswa yang mendapat mata kuliah gizi dan kesehatan. Literasi kesehatan diukur dengan The Newest Vital Sign (NVS) dan titerasi gizi Diet and Health Knowledge Survey (DHKS). Berat bedan diukur dengan timbangan dan status gizi diukur dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Analisis data dilakukan person correlation dan regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat literasi kesehatan mahasiswa 64,6 % pada kategori memadai, tingkat literasi gizi pada kategori kurang. Status gizi mahasiswa 7.3% sangat kurus, 14.6 % kurus, 56.1% normal, 4.9 % gizi lebih dan 17.1% obesitas. Rerata berat badan 55.8 ± 12.35 kg. Ada hubungan negatif antara literasi kesehatan dengan berat badan (r = - 0,270), literasi gizi dan berat badan (r = - 0,323), literasi kesehatan dengan status gizi (r = - 0,268), dan literasi gizi dengan status gizi (r = - 0,268). Ada pengaruh negatif antara literasi kesehatan dengan berat badan(p = 0,014), literasi gizi dan berat badan (p = 0,015), dan literasi gizi dengan status gizi (p = 0,015). Tidak ada pengaruh literasi kesehatan dengan status gizi (p= 0,106), literasi kesehatan dan gizi bersinergi mempengaruhi berat badan ( p = 0,001) dan status gizi (p = 0,020). Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk memberikan intervensi pendidikan gizi dan kesehatan dalam proses pembelajaran MK gizi dan Kesehatan untuk memperbaiki status gizi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project based learning) untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan literasi sains yang menjadi ciri pembelajaran abad 21. Untuk mengetahui tercapai tidaknya capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPA di SD pada Prodi PGSD FIP Universitas PGRI Semarang maka dilakukan evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan Model Countenance Stake. Evaluasi berdasar pada Permendikbud no 3 tahun 2020 tentang standar nasional pendidikan tinggi pasal 12 ayat 2. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis proses evaluasi yang menekankan pada dua jenis tahapan yaitu deskripsi (descriptions) dan pertimbangan (judgments) serta membedakan tiga fase dalam evaluasi program yaitu: (1) persiapan (antecedents), (2) transaksi, dan (3) outcome dari program ini yakni hasil belajar mahasiswa. Hasil evaluasi perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA SD dengan Project Based Learning menggunakan Model Countanance Stake menunjukkan bahwa persiapan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan model project based learning ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian RPS yang dibuat mencapai 77,77% pada kategori baik. Proses pelaksanaan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan model project based learning ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian prinsip Student Centered Learning (SCL) dalam proses pembelajaran mencapai 80% pada kategori baik. Hasil belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan model project based learning ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian hasil belajar mahasiswa dari ke tiga aspek (pengetahuan, sikap, maupun keterampilan) telah memenuhi memenuhi kriteria sangat baik, antara sangat baik dan baik dan baik sebesar lebih dari 75%. Persiapan perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD dapat diperhatikan terkait kelengkapan dan kejelasan sintaks model project based learning, serta pengintegrasian STEAM dan TPACK dalam pembelajaran. Selain berpusat pada mahasiswa, pada perkuliahan pembelajaran IPA di SD juga diharapkan memenuhi karakteristik proses pembelajaran sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 10 ayat (2) yang terdiri dari interaktif, holistik, integratif, saintifik, kontekstual, tematik, efektif, dan kolaboratif. Dosen dapat mengintegrasikan pendekatan pembelajaran dan penilaian yang dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi serta literasi sains mahasiswa.

Abstract

Pengetahuan siswa tentang pemanfaatan dan masa depan energi menjadi ditekankan dalam pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran desain media belajar fisika materi energi terbarukan. Media belajar yang dirancang adalah pengembangan smart hydroponic bertenaga panel surya. Komponen utama desain smart hydroponic ini adalah panel surya, controller, accu, inverter, sensor TDS, sensor pH, pompa air, dan katup otomatis. Tanaman yang digunakan adalah sayuran jenis Selada. Komponen pendukung yang lain adalah penggunaan nutrisi A dan B sebagai sumber nutrisi tanaman. Sebelum diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran, media smart hydroponic ini diuji nilai tepat guna dan validitasnya. Hasil uji coba desain alat memberikan hasil yang efektif dan efisien untuk diterapkan pada budidaya tanaman sayur selada.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memberikan gambaran hasil perbandingan analisis kualitas soal tes kemampuan literasi sains melalui pendekatan teori tes klasik dan Rasch Model ditinjau dari sisi validity, reliability, kesulitan soal, dan daya diskriminan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dan pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2021. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode dokumenter sebanyak 15 soal pilihan ganda dan diujikan kepada 30 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika UNSIQ Jawa Tengah Wonosobo. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori uji klasik dengan Microsoft Excel dan Rasch Model dengan software Winsteps. Kualitas soal dari segi validitas dengan menggunakan pendekatan teori tes klasik terungkap bahwa 3 soal diklasifikasikan valid dan 12 soal diklasifikasikan tidak valid, sedangkan pada Rasch Model 6 soal diklasifikasikan valid dan 9 soal diklasifikasikan tidak valid. Skor reliability Cronbach Alpha (KR-20) pada butir soal dengan pendekatan teori tes klasik adalah 0,40 (sedang) dan skor reliability Cronbach Alpha (KR-20) pada model Rasch adalah 0,43 (sedang) dengan Nilai person reliability 0,54 (buruk) dan keandalan produk 0,91 (sangat baik). Tingkat kesukaran butir soal menurut teori tes klasik, butir soal terdistribusi dalam tiga kelompok, yakni mudah 10 soal, sedang 3 soal, dan sukar 2 soal. Sedangan pada Rasch Model butir soal terdistribusi dalam empat kelompok, yakni mudah 3 soal, sedang 7 soal, sukar 3 soal, dan sangat sukar 2 soal. Pada aspek daya beda baik dengan pendekatan teori tes klasik maupun Rasch Model, nilai H = 1,57 dibulatkan menjadi 2, yakni buruk 14 soal dan baik 1 soal.

Abstract

Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) is now recognized for teacher development and preparation programs. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the TPACK competence in microteaching of preservice teachers. The research approach uses qualitative research using the curriculum evaluation design of Stake Countenance Model with data collection including lesson plans, teaching practice activities, performance assessment, and in-depth semi structured interviews. The results of the microteaching evaluation program using an analysis of the ability to integrate pedagogy, content, and technology within the TPACK competency framework. In general, preservice teachers still use technology less, because the lesson plans design dont use learning technology. So for the development of TPACK competencies, preservice teachers provide opportunities for preservice teachers to apply technology in biology learning and use various learning strategies.

Abstract

This research analyzes the test instrument and the learners' responses to acidity material using an environment as the learning source. This quantitative research collected the data with observation, tests, and questionnaires. The researchers used valid and reliable measuring tools to find out the learning achievements of some aspects. The experts’ judgments involved six experts and question item analyses with classical test theory (CTT) assisted by SPSS 21. The researchers conducted the trial run test and collected the learners’ responses in XI IPA1 of Public SHS 1 Bangsri Jepara, consisting of 35 learners. The data analysis used V Aiken which consisted of question items and learners’ responses. The results were 0.91 and 0.91. The content validity consisted of 40 objective question items in the test material about acidity. The reliability was observable from Cronbach's Alpha score, 0.945. The results indicated the question items were reliable and valid. The test analysis results of acidity material included validity and reliability. The analysis was useful to ensure that the instrument would be suitable for learners with various skills. The researchers also found positive responses toward the learning.
