Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the effect of work ethic, organizational culture and employee commitment on employee performance at the Palm Oil Research Center (PPKS) Marihat Unit Pematang Siantar. The population in this study were 230 permanent employees and the number of samples through the slovin formula with a total of 70 permanent employees. The analysis techniques used in this study are validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, t test, F test and the coefficient of determination (R2) using the help of SPSS Version 25. The results showed that there was an influence between the independent variables, namely work ethic, organizational culture and employee commitment on the dependent variable, namely employee performance. From the results of simultaneous testing (F test) shown in the Fcount value of (90,680) > Ftable (2.51) it can be concluded that work ethic, organizational culture and employee commitment have a simultaneous and significant effect on employee performance. From the results of partial testing (t test) obtained the value of Work Ethic tcount (6,951) > t table (1,668), Organizational Culture tcount value (4,761) > t table (1,668) and Employee Commitment tcount value (5,359) > t table (1,668). This means that Work Ethic, Organizational Culture and Employee Commitment have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance at the Palm Oil Research Center (PPKS) Marihat Unit Pematang Siantar. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.805. This means that variations in Employee Performance can be explained by variations in Work Ethic, Organizational Culture and Employee Commitment by 80.5% while 19.5% can be explained by other factors not discussed in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine and explain the influence of leadership, training and compensation on employee performance at PT Tunas Cahaya Mandiri Widyatama Medan. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Before testing the hypothesis, the classical assumption test is first carried out. The analysis used multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing (F test and t test) and analysis of the coefficient of determination. From the results of data processing, a multiple linear regression equation is obtained where: Y= 1.106 + 0.319 X1 + 0.306X2 + 0.365X3 + ei. The results of this research show that the variables of leadership, training and compensation together (simultaneously) have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Partially, it shows that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a multiple regression coefficient value of 0.319 and a significant value of 0.036 <0.05. Training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a multiple regression coefficient value of 0.306 and a significant value of 0.045 <0.05. Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a multiple regression coefficient value of 0.365 and a significant value of 0.040 <0.05. The results of this research also conclude that to improve employee performance, companies should pay more attention to leadership, training and compensation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and explain the effect of providing entrepreneurship courses on students' interest in entrepreneurship. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Before the hypothesis test was carried out, a classical assumption test was carried out first. The analysis used simple linear regression, t-test hypothesis testing and determination coefficient analysis. From the results of data processing, a simple linear regression equation was obtained where: Y = 7.616 + 0.457 X + ei. The results of this study indicate that 1) There is an effect of providing entrepreneurship courses on students' interest in entrepreneurship, this is indicated by the calculated t value > t table (2.058 > 1.985); 2) There is a moderate relationship between providing entrepreneurship courses and students' interest in entrepreneurship because the correlation coefficient value is 0.479 which lies between 0.40 - 0.599; 3) The percentage contribution of the influence of the independent variable (providing entrepreneurship courses) to the dependent variable (students' interest in entrepreneurship) is 22.9%. Or the variation of independent variables used in the model (giving entrepreneurship courses) is able to explain 22.9% of the variation of the dependent variable (students' interest in entrepreneurship). While the remaining 77.1% is influenced or explained by other variables not included in this research model.

Abstract

This study aims to illustrate how work stress mediates the intersection of personal and work life and employee performance. This intersection phenomenon is increasingly relevant in the modern, flexible yet demanding work environment, where the boundaries between domestic and professional life are often blurred. This study used a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with employees from various work sectors. The findings indicate that deadline pressure, home-work role conflict, family disruptions during work, lack of rest time, and minimal supervisor support are the main factors triggering work stress. Although work stress is often associated negatively, the results of this study indicate that in some cases, stress can actually motivate employees to perform optimally, making it a complex mediating factor. Perceptions of stress vary depending on individual coping capacity and the supportive work environment. Coping strategies used include time management, social support, separation of work-personal space, and relaxation activities. This study concludes that work stress is not always a barrier but can be a bridge to improved performance when managed appropriately. These findings have important implications for company policies, HR management, and the development of an adaptive and healthy work culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work culture, employee commitment, and motivation on employee performance at CV. Ultra Outbond Adventure, a company engaged in the field of education services, outbound training, and human resource development. The research employs a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to a total population of 73 operational employees using a saturated sampling technique. The research variables include work culture, employee commitment, and motivation as independent variables, while employee performance serves as the dependent variable. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, complemented by t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that both partially and simultaneously, work culture, employee commitment, and motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Specifically, improvements in work culture, commitment, and motivation are proven to enhance employee performance levels significantly. The R Square value of 0.635 indicates that 63.5% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 36.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening organizational culture, fostering employee commitment, and enhancing motivation as strategic efforts to improve overall performance and organizational competitiveness in the service industry.
