Abstract

Kehadiran panti asuhan di tengah masyarakat dapat membantu permasalah sosial yang muncul, dimana ada keluarga yang tidak memenuhi fungsi dan tanggung jawabnya dalam memelihara dan mengasuh anak-anaknya, Adanya anak terlantar akibat kehilangan salah satu orang tua atau kedua orang tua, dengan alasan meninggal dunia atau bencana alam dan situasi-situasi lainnya dimana anak dalam keluarga tidak mendapatkan hak dasar sebagai anak. Kehadiran Yayasan Panti Asuhan Sempurna Damai Sejahtera, di Jl Parang III Sempakata, Medan juga bercita-cita memberikan solusi yang berdampak secara sosial. Dalam pengelolaan manajemen panti asuhan yang dilakukan secara otodidak, dimana dengan bermodalkan dorongan hati nurani untuk memberikan tempat kepada anak-anak yang kehilangan orang tua ataupun yang tidak mendapatkan hak sebagai anak. Ada sepuluh anak yang dirawat dan kegitan Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini memberikan ceramah untuk manajemen pengelolaan panti asuhan sejauh yang dapat dilakukan dengan berdiskusi dan menggali kendala dan solusi atas situasi yang dihadapi. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat tersebut yaitu memperluas ruang lingkup pembahasan, juga meningkatkan peserta yang mengikuti kegitan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini

Abstract

HR Analytics has become a strategic tool in Human Resource Management (HRM), enabling organizations to make data-driven decisions that enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. This study aims to analyze the impact of HR Analytics implementation on decision-making in HRM, considering both supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation. The research uses a quantitative approach, surveying HR professionals across various industries. The findings show that the application of HR Analytics significantly contributes to improving decision-making accuracy, particularly in recruitment, performance management, and employee retention. However, challenges such as limited data literacy, technological infrastructure, and resistance to change remain key barriers to the optimal use of HR Analytics. The study provides implications for organizations to invest more in developing HR analytical competencies and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture. These findings align with the hypothesis that HR Analytics has a positive impact on decision-making and that HR analytical competence strengthens this relationship, while resistance to change weakens its effectiveness. Ultimately, organizations can maximize the benefits of HR Analytics by enhancing analytical skills and minimizing resistance to change.

Abstract

Pelatihan dan pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja organisasi, terutama di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Teknologi yang berkembang pesat menuntut organisasi, termasuk UKM, untuk beradaptasi dengan cepat. UKM sering menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan anggaran dan akses teknologi untuk pelatihan yang efektif. Literatur ini mengeksplorasi peran pelatihan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kinerja UKM serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam mengimplementasikan pelatihan berbasis teknologi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pelatihan dapat meningkatkan kinerja, banyak UKM kesulitan mengakses teknologi terbaru. Oleh karena itu, penerapan metode pelatihan berbasis teknologi dan analisis kebutuhan pelatihan yang tepat menjadi solusi penting. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi kesenjangan dalam literatur terkait UKM, yang memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai pelatihan yang efisien dan terjangkau. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi kebijakan pelatihan di UKM dan memberi wawasan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut

Abstract

Digital transformation has driven organizations to invest in employee competency development to face technological disruption and dynamic market demands. This study is a systematic literature observation analyzed using the SCISCAPE (Search, Cluster, Integrate, Critically Analyze, Synthesize, Present, Enhance Insight, Evaluate) approach. Literature from 2015–2024 was collected from academic databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect, with keywords such as employee competency development, digital skills enhancement, and digital transformation training. The findings show that training methods such as e-learning, microlearning, and gamification are the main trends in digital competency development. The study also highlights the positive impact of training on organizational performance, despite obstacles such as weakening technology and low ROI evaluation. Practical implications include the need for data-driven adaptive training design, as well as the development of a national digital competency framework. This study contributes to formulating HR strategies that are relevant to the digital era and opens up space for more measurable further research.

Abstract

Transformasi digital yang dipicu oleh pandemi COVID-19 telah mempercepat adopsi sistem pembelajaran daring, salah satunya melalui Learning Management System (LMS). Kajian ini menyajikan tinjauan literatur sistematis yang mengupas kontribusi LMS dalam menumbuhkan karakter pembelajar mandiri di kalangan mahasiswa. Dengan menelaah 35 artikel ilmiah dari database terindeks Scopus dan DOAJ periode 2019–2024, studi ini mengungkap pola pemanfaatan LMS dalam pengembangan otonomi belajar, tantangan implementasinya, serta kerangka pedagogis yang mendukung.Temuan menunjukkan bahwa LMS yang dirancang dengan prinsip fleksibilitas, umpan balik adaptif, dan kolaborasi daring berpotensi besar menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar. Namun, kesenjangan digital dan literasi teknologi masih menjadi batu sandungan. Artikel ini merekomendasikan pendekatan inklusif berbasis konteks lokal dalam pengembangan LMS yang mendukung pembelajaran otonom.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the dominant factors influencing student decision making in choosing the S-1 Management Study Program. With this aim, it is possible to identify what factors dominantly influence student decision making in choosing the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics, Unika Santo Thomas, Medan T.A. 2020/2021 in the Covid-19 Pandemic, its implications for the formulation of promotional strategies. The research method used a sample of 125 students, collecting data with questionnaires and documentation and factor analysis techniques. The results of the study, of the 25 factors studied in student decision making to choose the Management study program, it turns out that the most dominant are: Factor 1: Accreditation status, Friends, Teachers, Family, Image / image and campus visits, Factor 2: Ease of work, Success Alumni and Promotional Brochures, Factor 3: Scholarships, Environmental Conditions, Complete Facilities and Building Conditions, Factor 4: Curriculum, Affordable Basic Tuition and Ease of Payment, Factor 5: Family, Education Personnel, Libraries and Lecturers, Factor 6: Alumni Association strong , Webinar Seminar, and Positive Issues and Factor 7: Affordable Cost Per-Credit and Parents' Income. The results of this study are expected to provide a reference as material for consideration in formulating relevant promotions, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic situation for the sake of increasing the number of students in the future. For further research, it is better to add variables that will be used as research variables that are thought to influence students in choosing the Management Study Program.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze what are the dominant factors that influence student interest in entrepreneurship. The population of this research is all students of the management study program of the Faculty of Economics, Santo Thomas Catholic University who have taken entrepreneurship courses. The sample is 100 students, the method of collecting data is through questionnaires and documentation, the variables studied are about the factors that influence student interest in entrepreneurship, analysis techniques with factor analysis. The results show that, of the 20 factors that influence student interest in entrepreneurship, the most dominant are: The first factor consists of: Leadership, Friends support which is considered important, Friends support, Realistic thinking, Family support and high commitment, Second factor consists of : Have a confident attitude, Foresight, Support business partners, Creative Innovative, Cooperate with business partners and Have experience. The third factor consists of: being disciplined, encouraging parents and being interested in business opportunities. The fourth factor consists of: Courage to face risks. The fifth factor consists of: reliable expertise, perceived ease and careful planning. The sixth factor consists of: Independence. It is better for students during the lecture process to innovate to do a simple type of business as an entrepreneurship learning material. Parents support and motivate their children to become entrepreneurs, because parents have a very strong role in forming entrepreneurial interests. There needs to be an improvement for the campus in providing understanding and training to students so that their entrepreneurial interest is increasingly formed so that after completing their studies their entrepreneurial spirit will be awakened.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze servicescape that has an effect on image, hospitality has an effect on image, and servicescape and hospitality have simultaneously had an effect on image on the library of the Catholic University of Santo Thomas Medan. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive research method. . The population in this study were all active students in the 2022/2023 Academic Year, totaling 6,540 people. The technique for determining the sample in this study used Propotionate Stratified Random Sampling. As for determining the number of samples (n) used is referring to the Slovin approach. From the results of calculating the number of samples used in this study, there were 98 respondents. The scale of data measurement in this study used a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is instrument test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results of the study show that (1) the servicescape variable has a positive and significant effect on the image, (2) the hospitality variable has a positive and significant effect on the image, and (3) the servicescape and hospitality variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the image of the Library of the Catholic University of Santo Thomas Medan .
