Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kinerja pekerja di lingkungan layanan publik melalui penerapan terapi komplementer. Fokus utamanya adalah pada pengurangan tingkat fatigue sehingga dapat menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih sehat dan produktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini melalui tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan melalui tiga terapi komplementer (bekam, akupunktur, dan prana), serta evaluasi keberhasilan terapi. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa 96.7% dari 60 peserta mengalami perbaikan kondisi fatigue, sementara 3.3% tidak mengalami perbaikan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perbedaan respons individu terhadap terapi dan kemungkinan adanya beban fisik atau mental yang berat. Oleh karena itu, proses asesmen dengan memasukkan evaluasi psikologis dan kesehatan konvensional diperlukan untuk memahami lebih dalam aspek-aspek yang dapat memengaruhi fatigue para pekerja. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh STIKES Wira Medika Bali, penerapan terapi komplementer terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat fatigue pada mayoritas pekerja di lingkungan layanan publik. Maka  pengabdian masyarakat ini tidak hanya berfokus pada pengurangan fatigue tetapi juga mendorong pendekatan yang lebih komprehensif dalam meningkatkan kesehatan dan kinerja pekerja.

Abstract

Spiritual leadership developed from intrinsic motivation is based on ethical and moral values that align with the education system. However, the research is limited in the context of higher education institutions. Therefore, this study aims to provide an understanding of the effect of spiritual leadership on lecturer performance through work motivation. The research design was quantitative, with 120 samples of permanent lecturers in private higher education institutions who have obtained lecturer certificates. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Smart-PLS. The results showed that spiritual leadership affects lecturer performance and work motivation. In addition, work motivation plays a mediating role with a high effect size. Hence, these findings can serve as a basis for higher education institutions to develop more inclusive and inspiring leadership strategies that integrate spiritual values and create a more motivating work environment for lecturers.

Abstract

The career center is one solution in responding to the high unemployment rate with higher education which is possible due to a mismatch between educational competence and the needs of employment, or an imbalance between demand and supply. The purpose of this study was to determine the success and effectiveness of the implementation of the career center program at one of the universities in the health sector in Denpasar City. This study is an evaluation study using the CIPP model which was analyzed qualitatively. The results show that in the context aspect it is necessary to set clear vision, mission, and goals. The input aspect shows that there is no curriculum as a guide and the implementation of several programs has not been optimally assessed from the process aspect. Meanwhile, the product aspect shows good acceptance of graduates in the world of work. It is hoped that the career center program can be improved by implementing strategic management and providing entrepreneurship education.

Abstract

Hierarchical conflict in higher education institutions can affect the performance and welfare of lecturers and administrative staff, but in-depth studies on the impact and conflict management strategies still need to be explored. This study aims to provide an understanding of the impact of hierarchical conflict on the performance and well-being of lecturers and administrative staff and effective strategies for managing conflict. This study uses a literature review method, which examines findings from relevant literature with a content analysis approach. The results indicate that hierarchical conflict can potentially reduce academic productivity and operational efficiency and increase staff stress and burnout. However, in some cases, conflict can also spark innovation and collaboration. Effective conflict management strategies include managerial, cultural, and structural approaches. The findings contribute to developing conflict management policies and practices in higher education institutions and provide theoretical insights to guide future research.

Abstract

Patients with chronic kidney disease have lower levels of hemoglobin, which causes them to become weak, easily tired, unproductive, and have a lower quality of life in their daily activities. According to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) several things that can affect the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease are anemia with measuring hemoglobin levels so that managements is needed to achieve a good quality of life. The hemoglobin level of patients with chronic renal disease is low, this condition allows for clinical disturbances that affect quality of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between quality of life of chronic kidney disease patient dan hemoglobin at Prodia Indramayu. The research method used was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size in this study were 30 patients at Prodia Indramayu who has experienced chronic kidney disease and underwent hemodialysis for at least 6 months. The research was conducted from January – March 2023. Quality of life was measured using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire and hemoglobin results were obtained from secondary data from patient laboratory results. The results of the study obtained statistical data analysis using the Spearman test showing p value > 0.05, Sig.(2-tailed) 0.214>0.005, it can be concluded that there is no significant correlation between hemoglobin levels and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Abstract

Implementation of PLS-SEM in educational research has developed significantly, but there are variations in the presentation of the analysis results. This study aims to provide practical understanding to researchers who intend to utilize PLS-SEM in multivariate analysis to enhance the recognition and validity of the resultant research outcomes using SmartPLS. This research is a literature study that conducts content analysis of relevant books and publications. The research results present PLS-SEM analysis using SmartPLS on reflective and formative research models with first-order and second-order approaches through measurement model evaluation (outer model) and structural model evaluation (inner model) with various criteria. Evaluation of the reflective measurement model consists of reflective indicator loadings, internal consistency reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. The review of the formative measurement model consists of convergent validity, collinearity, and statistical significance of weights. The structural model evaluation consists of the collinearity test, significance value, f square, R square, Q square, SRMR, PLSpredict, and robustness checks. Therefore, this study can provide guidance using SmartPLS in conducting PLS-SEM analysis and presenting acceptable analysis results.

Abstract

The complex challenges in improving the health and welfare of prisoners at the Bangli Class IIB Detention Center demand a concrete response. Government Regulation No. 32/1999 affirms the right of every prisoner to obtain proper health services. One of the health problems that arise due to the crowded room occupancy is skin diseases, such as Scabies. To overcome the transmission of the disease, the first step that needs to be taken is the formation of Health Cadres. This Health Cadre Development activity aims to improve the health of WBP through counseling and training. This PKMS activity aims to improve the health of correctional prisoners (WBP) through the development of health cadres. The method used is Community-Based Interactive Approach (CBIA), WBP is actively involved in counseling and training related to clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) and handling of Scabies skin disease in detention centers. The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge and positive attitudes related to PHBS and the role of health cadres among prisoners. In conclusion, the formation of inmate health cadres can be a potential solution in efforts to prevent and manage diseases and improve the quality of life in detention centers

Abstract

Penentuan populasi dan sampel merupakan elemen kunci dalam metodologi penelitian yang mempengaruhi keandalan dan validitas hasil, baik dalam konteks kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas perbedaan prinsip dan teknik penentuan ukuran sampel dalam kedua pendekatan metodologi tersebut serta mengidentifikasi teknik sampling yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka untuk mengevaluasi teori dan praktik terkait dengan teknik sampling dan rumus penentuan ukuran sampel, termasuk teknik probabilitas dan non-probabilitas serta rumus-rumus yang sering digunakan dalam penelitian kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian kuantitatif memerlukan ukuran sampel numerik untuk menghindari kesalahan penelitian tipe I dan II, sementara penelitian kualitatif mengandalkan prinsip saturasi data. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya memilih teknik sampling dan ukuran sampel yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian serta memberikan panduan praktis untuk meningkatkan keakuratan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang teknik sampling untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan validitas penelitian.

Abstract

Retirement is a separation from employment whereby an employee opts to cease working due to age or disability. Retirement preparation is a set of plan for employees to adapt to some challenges for their retirement. This study aimed at analyzing nurses’ experiences towards retirement preparation. To accomplish this goal, this study used a descriptive qualitative design which was descriptive phenomenological approach. This study was conducted in 2019 in Bhayangkara Hospital Denpasar. The sample of this study was 4 participants. The technique used was purposive sampling. The data were collected through in-depth interview and field notes. The obtained data were analyzing through colaizi method. The results of this study were  4 themes such as, 1. nurses’ understanding towards retirement preparation,  2. nurses’ feelings towards retirement preparation, 3. the challenges faced by nurses towards retirement preparation, 4. ways to cope with challenges of retirement preparation. Researcher expectations For nurses who will retire can improve the ability and service of nurses in dealing with problems experienced by clients

Abstract

Validitas dan reliabilitas terbukti sebagai dua aspek penting yang menentukan kualitas instrumen dalam mengukur variabel penelitian, namun masih dibutuhkan konsistensi dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait uji validitas dan reliablitas yang perlu dilakukan untuk menghasilkan instrumen penelitian yang baik. Studi merupakan penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi pustaka. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan dalam konteks sosial dan budaya dapat mempengaruhi keandalan instrumen yang telah teruji di masa lalu. Studi menekankan pentingnya pengujian ulang instrumen melalui beberapa uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk memastikan akurasi pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian berkontribusi dalam pengembangan dan pengujian instrumen yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kredibilitas hasil penelitian.
