This research is motivated by the results of previous research which shows that students' mathematical problem-solving ability is not as expected. One of the learning to improve the problem-solving ability of mathematics is problem-based learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving skills as a result of problem-based learning. This study is a quasi-experiment that implements two lessons: problem-based learning and conventional learning. Population in this research is a student of the junior high school in Regency of West Bandung. Sampling was done by purposive sampling and obtained two classes as research sample. The research instrument used is the test of mathematical problem-solving ability. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the improvement of the problem-solving ability of mathematical students who get problem-based learning is better than the students who get conventional learning.

Comprehensive is one of the important mathematical abilities which is important to be mastered by the student, especially in high school. Mathematical comprehension ability become one of the basic skills that to be mastered by the student. Focus in the research is to the analyse the student  difficulties  in solve direct proportion and inverse proportion values to aspects of mathematical comprehension ability in associate something to something correctly and realize to the process.  This research used descriptive qualitative with research subject which is used 6 person. The author conducts research in class VIII of Cisarua 1 Junior High School using a qualitative description research method that is a case study by reviewing the learning style and basic abilities of students in understanding mathematics subjects through solving TVLES problems (Two Variable Linear Equation System). So that from this obtained a description of the mathematical connection capabilities of these students. This study uses a mathematical connection ability test instrument and interview guidelines. The sample from this study were 36 sixth grade students of Cisarua 1 Junior High School. The results of the data show the percentage score of each indicator based on the basic ability obtained by students' mathematical connection skills in solving system problems of two variable linear equations, namely the upper group with an average of 68.5%, the middle group with an average of 63%, and the lower group evenly - average 47.75%.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP yang masih sangat rendah. Pentingnya kemampuan tersebut karena merupakan salah satu tujuan dalam pembelajaran matematika. salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa adalah pembelajaran yang menggunakan pendekatan penemuan terbimbing. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengamati dan menelaah pencapaian kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa, mengamati dan menelaah peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian menggunakan pretes dan postes kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Cimahi. Sampel diambil hanya dua kelas secara purposive sampling yaitu kelas VII j sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII i sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes kemampuan penalaran matematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pencapaian kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui  pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa, Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa.

This research aims to analyze and  in study about influence of mathematical by self regulated learning  against the ability of mathematical creative thinking high school students. The methods used in this research is quantitative data with the  correlational  method. The population in this research is a high school student in the city of Bandung with sampels as many as 31 student that assigned by techniques purposif sampling at one high school in the city of Bandung. The instruments in this research is a test of the ability of mathematical creative thinking as much as 4 items  and scale self regulated learning  as much as 10 scale statements. Then the results of this study that the ability of mathematical creative thinking high school students influenced positively by the mathematical self regulated learning equal to  87.5%, 12.5% influenced by factors other than the independent of self regulated learning mathematics students.

In this study the authors analyzed the difficulties of students in the process of mathematical problem solving skills and to determine the disposition of students on each item statement. Based on the analysis, for SPLDV material the mistakes made by students in working on mathematical problem solving problems lie in the indicators of understanding the problem only reaching 34% and the average percentage of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the category instruments. The instrument used is a question that has been tested for reliability, validity , different power and difficulty indexes have also been validated by expert validators. The mathematical disposition of junior high school students is only 65% of the SPLDV material. Indicators of student interest and reflection in learning get the smallest percentage, which is 61%, thus influencing other indicators. The research method uses descriptive qualitative analysis to find out in depth the achievement of indicators of problem solving abilities and mathematical dispositions on each item statement. The purpose of this research was to improve student learning outcomes on the Pythagorean theorem material through the use of Problem Based Learning models. The type of research is Classroom Action Research which was conducted during the second cycle. This research was carried out in 5 steps: (1) student orientation to problems (2) organizing students for learning, (3) assisting individual and group investigations, (4) developing and presenting work, (5) analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process. The research subjects were 15 students of class VIII in one of the junior high schools in Cimahi. The data collection technique was carried out by giving pre-test and post-test questions about the Pythagorean theorem. The results showed: a) The percentage of complete student learning outcomes at the beginning of the meeting was 0.0% with an average value of 21.73, b. The percentage of completeness in the first cycle is 46.6% with an average value of 58.4, c) The percentage of completeness in the second cycle is 86.6% with an average value of 77.2. Based on the results of the research, can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve student learning outcomes on the Pythagorean theorem material.

This research aims to know the influence of student’s self-confidence against the ability of mathematical creative thinking of students. Methods used correlational with quantitative approach. Samples taken is as much as 30 students are subjected to an SMP in the city of Cimahi. The instruments used in this research consists of a test and non-test. The results of this research are the self-confidence of students have a positive effect on the ability of mathematical creative thinking of the students of 10.9% and 89.1% influenced by factors other than the self-confidence.

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' perceptions of errors in statistical material in terms of gender differences. This research was conducted in class IX SMP Negeri 1 Tirtajaya, Karawang regency by taking a sample of 8 people, male and female students according to their knowledge. The research is a study conducted using descriptive qualitative methods with the material used is statistical material. The process of data analysis is done in stages, namely collecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Data collection was obtained from data collection in the form of data solving statistical test questions by analyzing student errors in solving statistical problems. Presentation of data is presented in brief descriptions, pictures, and presentation of descriptions in the form of descriptive analysis of errors in solving basic statistical problems according to Newman. Conclusions are drawn from the review of the data that has been presented and examine the explanation and causal relations in the analysis process. The results showed that female students were superior in solving problems in statistical material compared to male students. There were still errors in solving these problems.
