Abstract

Ramalina sp. (Ramalinaceae) is a type of lichen known to contain many active secondary metabolite compounds that have the potential to be used as medicine or medicinal raw materials. One of the biological activities possessed by Ramalina sp. lichen is its anticancer activity. This research aims to isolate and identify active secondary metabolite compounds from the methanol extract of the Ramalina sp. lichen and to find out the cytotoxic activity of the isolated compound against MCF7 breast cancer cells. Compound 1 (usnic acid) was successfully isolated from fraction A. The isolation and purification process was carried out starting with a maceration process using acetone solvent, followed by silica gel column chromatography using a gradient solvent system consisting of n-hexane, n-hexane:EtOAc, EtOAc, EtOAc:MeOH, and MeOH with 5% increment of polarity to obtain 17 fractions (F-1 to F-17). From the 17 fractions obtained, fraction 3 (F-3) and fraction 4 (F-4) (eluted with n-hexane:EtOAc 30%), which had the same TLC profile, were combined and named as fraction A. Compound 1 (50 mg) is a yellow needle crystal that was formed in a bottle of fraction A, which was obtained after the process of combining fractions F-3 and F-4 and solvent evaporation process. The crystals were then separated and purified with CHCl3 and MeOH. Compound 1 was then characterized based on spectroscopic data. Various spectroscopic analysis data, including FTIR, 1D- and 2D-NMR, and LC-ESI-MS, show that Compound 1 is a dibenzofuran derivative compound with 18 carbons (3 from carbonyl groups (C=O) and 3 from methyl groups) and 2 hydroxyl (-OH). Cytotoxicity assay showed that at a low concentration of 18.75 ug/mL, Compound 1 caused a 67.06% decrease in MCF7 viability

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether capital structure, investment decisions, and firm size have an impact on firm value by examining profitability as a moderating factor. A quantitative methodology is used in this study. The population used in this study are companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange through the website www.idx.co.id Jakarta Islamic Index 70 company in the 2019-2022 period. This study uses panel data regression model analysis. Within this research, STATA 17 version was used, also Breusch and Pagan Lagrangian is used to test the ordinary least square model versus random effect model regression. Meanwhile, Chow test is used to test ordinary least square model regression versus fixed effect model and Hausman test is used to find the most suitable panel data regression model between fixed effect model and random effect model. The results of this study indicate that capital structure affects firm value, investment decisions and firm size have no effect on firm value, profitability is able to moderate the effect of capital structure and investment decisions on firm value, while profitability is unable to moderate firm size on firm value.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of transformational leadership style, work life balance and job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in nurses at Muhammadiyah Mardhatillah Randudongkal Hospital. This type of research is quantitative with a sample of 105 nurses. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a saturated sampling approach. The analysis method uses Smart PLS version 4.0. Based on the research results, several conclusions are obtained: Transformational Leadership Style (X1) has a positive and insignificant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y), Work life balance (X2) has a positive asnd significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y) , Job Satisfaction (X3) has a positive and insignificant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y). The results of this researcher show that transformational leadership style and job satisfaction have a positive and insignificant influence on organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, further research could add other variables to strengthen the relationship between transformational leadership style, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. It is hoped that these findings will provide insight for nurses at the Muhammadiyah Mardhatillah Randudongkal Hospital in improving OCB through developing appropriate policies

Abstract

This study uses work motivation as a mediator to look at how competence, communication, and the work environment affect employee performance. This study takes a quantitative method, distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale assessment as the primary means of gathering data. The study's population, which is made up of 609 workers from Islamic banks in Indonesia who work as relationship managers and customer service representatives, has a sample size of 254 respondents, which was calculated using the Slovin formula. Software called Smart PLS (Partial Least Square) was used to analyze the data. The conclusion that work atmosphere, competency, and communication all favorably affect motivation. Additional findings demonstrate that motivation, work environment, competency, and communication all favorably impact employee performance. Furthermore, the relationship between competence and employee performance cannot be mediated by motivation, but it can be mediated by the relationship between communication and the work environment on employee performance.

Abstract

This research examines how quality of work life (QWL) and work-family conflict (WFC) affect turnover intention (TI) in private hospitals, and how organisational commitment (OC) mediates these effects. The aim is to explore how QWL and WFC affect TI and to assess the mediating effect of OC. Understanding these relationships is crucial as high turnover disrupts hospital operations, increases costs, and impacts patient care quality. A non-probability saturation sampling strategy was utilised with 280 non-medical workers. SEM-PLS was used to analyse Likert scale questionnaires for validity and reliability and hypothesis testing using structural model assessment. WFC increases TI, whereas QWL and OC decrease it. OC mediates the negative link between QWL and TI and the positive association between WFC and TI. Hospital management should enhance QWL and minimize WFC to reduce turnover. Policies supporting work-life balance, employee recognition, and career growth are recommended. This research shows that organisational commitment mediates the effects of QWL and WFC on TI, providing insights for employee well-being and retention tactics.

Abstract

The research method is non-probability sampling using a saturation sampling approach. A total of 280 non-medic employees from Purwokerto Privat Hospital participated as respondents in this study. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire using the Likert scale to measure statement items related to the research variables. Data analysis utilized the SEM-PLS method, which is divided into two stages: an outer model evaluation to measure validity and reliability, and a structural model evaluation to test hypotheses and explain the relationships between variables. Results of this study states that work-family conflict has a positive effect on turnover intention, while organizational culture and organizational commitment have a negative and significant relationship with turnover intention. In addition, it was found that organizational commitment acts as mediator, connecting work-family conflict and organizational culture with turnover intentation. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of how the conflict between work and family influences the desire to change jobs, with Organizational Culture as a factor that may alleviate its negative impact. Additionally, the study will elucidate the role of Organizational Commitment as a mediator in this relationship. It is expected that the findings of this research will offer insights to organizations in developing more targeted strategies to enhance employee well-being and reduce turnover rates, aligning with the long-term vision of organizational sustainability.
