Abstract

The Communist Party of Malaya (PKM) employed a variety of strategies to disseminate its ideology among the general public. During the early 1920s, the communist movement utilized the "United Front" strategy, leveraging the Kuomintang party and Chinese schools as power bases, organizations, and publications to advance its influence. Following the establishment of the CCP in 1930, the communist strategy was to exploit prevailing conditions such as economic recession and the Sino-Japanese War to increase their influence among the people. During the Japanese occupation, the "United Front" strategy was again employed, this time the PKM formed an alliance with the British against the Japanese. The same strategy was employed in the post-war period by the PKM in their alliance with left-wing organizations against the returning British in Malaya, but ultimately proved unsuccessful. Concurrently, the PKM attempted to exert control over the Union workforce, but this was also unsuccessful. The setbacks faced by the PKM compelled it to adopt a more militant strategy through armed struggle. This article examines the various strategies employed by the PKM between 1930 and 1968 to expand their influence among the population.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct an in-depth study of the role of Clara Zetkin and the women’s movement in Germany. The main problem raised in this study is “How was Clara Zetkin’s struggle in the socialist women’s movement in Germany?” The research used the historical method through four stages: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. For a more profound analysis, this research uses three theories: socialism, feminism, and social movement. Zetkin also combined feminist and socialist ideas in her movement. She brought the feminist-socialist idea as a weapon against capitalism that oppressed women, and she was not only focused on the gender issues but also on the social class problems. In her struggle, Zetkin used Die Gleichheit as a platform to educate female workers so that they could participate in the class struggle that led to the liberation of women.

Abstract

This study discusses the strategy and pattern of battle carried out by Richard Lionheart, the leader of the Western nations, and Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi, the leader of the Arabs. This research uses a historical method consisting of four steps: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This research also uses a multidisciplinary approach by taking the concepts of war, leadership, and the holy city to discuss the research themes raised. Based on the study’s results, Richard Lionheart and Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi had different journeys in their background, occupying positions that made them leaders of two different nations, where Richard Lionheart became King of British. In contrast, Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi became the nation’s king. Richard Lionheart and Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi also have strategies and patterns of fighting that are different from one another, with their advantages and disadvantages giving each of them an advantage over their opponents. Besides that, the two nation’s leaders fighting over the Holy City of Jerusalem has the same importance to the Holy City of Jerusalem; for both the leaders of this nation, both Western and Arab nations, Jerusalem is a city that not only has a religious relationship for these two nations, which in addition to having the religious ties, the two nations also had the same historical ties in the past to this Holy City of Jerusalem. These two nations feel they have the same rights in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the complexity found by researchers in class XI IPS 2 of SMAN 7 Bandung, namely the ability of historical imagination that is low in students' ability to learn history. While this ability is important to help students imagine in reconstructing and explaining historical stories. The main objective of this research is to improve the ability of students' historical imagination in learning history. Indicators developed in this study are the results of research researchers who discuss about experts, namely the discussion of the idea of a chain script, the product of a serial story script, the discussion of the packaging of a serial script, and the making of storytelling. This class action research was carried out for two cycles where one cycle contained three actions using the Ebbut model which consisted of discussions about focus and initial planning (plan), action implementation (observation), observation (observation), implementation of the research process (reconnaissance), and reflection (reflection). The results showed an increase in the imagination of history in each cycle after applying the method of storytelling in learning history. This can be seen from the increase in the achievement of values in each indicator. Based on these data it can be concluded that the application of storytelling method can be an alternative to improve the ability of students' historical imagination in learning history at SMAN 7 Bandung.

Abstract

Sukarnya penyampaian materi buku teks Sejarah Indonesia yang menggambarkan Indonesia secara komprehensif memiliki kecenderungan berpusat pada Jawa memberi kesan penekanan peristiwa Jawa yang lebih banyak muncul dalam buku teks. Dari fenomena tersebut penelitian ini kemudian berfokus pada deskripsi jawasentris dalam buku teks Sejarah Indonesia terbitan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian analisis isi kritis metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa jawasentris muncul pada penempatan peristiwa Jawa yang lebih banyak dan menempatkan catatan peristiwa sejarah wilayah lain sebagai pelengkap narasi. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini mencakup elemen topik, skema, makna hingga penekanan penulis pada wacana buku teks. Walau demikian dominasi Jawa dalam wacana tidak dapat disebutkan jawasentris karena hampir keseluruhan wacana buku teks telah berupaya mencantumkan wilayah luar Jawa namun dengan deskripsi yang tidak sedetail peristiwa Jawa. Penelitian ini juga memberikan gambaran bahwa peristiwa Jawa memiliki pembahasan lebih luas dibandingkan dengan peristiwa luar Jawa yang dideskripsikan dengan cakupan yang terbatas.

Abstract

Covid-19 telah membawa dampak yang luar biasa bagi dunia pendidikan, termasuk di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran sejarah berbasis literasi digital dalam sejarah imasa transisi pandemi covid-19 ke new normal serta menganalisis kemampuan HOTS peserta didik melalui literasi digital dalam sejarah di SMA. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix method dengan metode sequential exploratory. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumnetasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik sejumlah 143 di SMAN 8 Bandung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam metode kualitatif adalah analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan. Sementara analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan independent simple t-test untuk menguji hipotesis. Pembelajaran sejarah selama pandemi covid-19 dan transisi ke keadaan normal pembelajaran menggunakan literasi digital dalam sejarah. Guru mendorong peserta didik, agar peserta didik lebih memahami dan dapat menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan, menggunakan sumber-sumber digital seperti jurnal, video, buku online dan artikel online yang kredibel. Penggunaan literasi digital tersebut terlihat dalam tingkat kemampuan HOTS peserta didik pada pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia yang belum optimal karena tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat kememapuan OTS peserta didik baik di kelas IPA atau IPS dengan hasil signifikansi 0.821 0.05. Kemampuan  HOTS peserta didik belum optimal juga karena masih berada pada skor MIPA 69.9 dan IPS 69.5. Ketuntatasan dari peserta didik mencapai 67 orang dan 76 belum tuntas. Hal ini disebabkan oleh interaksi guru yang rendah pada masa pandemi covid-19 dan transisi covid-19 serta penggunaan gadget berbasis literasi digital pada peserta didik yang tidak efektif untuk pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural dalam tradisi budaya lokal di Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (library research). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Aceh merupakan provinsi yang multikultral dengan memiliki berbagai suku, bahasa, tradisi, dan budaya. Di Aceh penanaman nilai-nilai multikultural sudah diterapkan yang mana terdapat beberapa nilai-nilai multikultural yang ada dalam kehidupan masyarakat Aceh, yaitu: keanekaragaman, keterbukaan, keadilan, toleransi, harmonisasi, pendidikan, dan kebutuhan akan identitas. Keberagaman masyarakat Aceh yang berasal dari latar belakang yang berbeda seperti suku, agama, ras, budaya, dan bahasa menjadi bukti bahwa masyarakat Aceh merupakan masyarakat multikultural.

Abstract

Selama kurun waktu 1945-1950 wilayah Semenanjung Malaya menghadapi masa revolusi. Namun masa revolusi tentunya berbeda dengan di Indonesia yang mana Indonesia dihadapkan pada Agresi Militer Belanda dan juga tantangan dalam diplomasi dengan Belanda. Di negeri Jiran tersebut justru dihadapkan pada kekosongan kekuasaan, sehingga timbul sebuah upaya dari para Pemuda Melayu untuk mewujudkan Melayu Raya dengan bergabungnya Malaya ke Indonesia. Usaha tersebut gagal karena ada upaya Inggris untuk melakukan supremasi kekuasaan dengan mengajak para Kesultanan Melayu di bawah naungan UMNO untuk membuat sebuah pemerintah yang dikenal sampai saat ini sebagai Kerajaan Malaysia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi sejarah dan deskriptif analisis untuk menggambarkan situasi di Malaya sesuai dengan periodeisasi yang berlaku di Malaysia.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a needs analysis in developing STEM-based electronic modules with a focus on environmental conservation material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research involving interviews, observation and questionnaires as data collection instruments. The research results show that there is an urgent need to update teaching materials, in line with the times and technological developments. The findings also indicate the need to develop teaching materials that are integrated with technology to facilitate students in understanding the concept of environmental conservation in a more interactive and applicable way. Apart from that, variations in learning approaches are crucial, because an approach is needed that is able to form critical thinking skills and improve students' skills in solving problems. It is hoped that the implications of this research can make a positive contribution to curriculum and learning development, so that students can be better prepared to face the demands of the ever-growing era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of marketing communication management for the MyValue application to build customer relations for Hotel Santika Radial Palembang. Done to maintain a more advanced competitiveness and the company tries to pay attention to relationships with customers. Efforts to build relationships with prospective customers and customers and companies are analyzed using marketing communication studies. The research method uses qualitative research methods. Sources of data using observation data and in-depth interviews with research informants related to research. The results of research on marketing communication management for the MyValue application to build hotel customer relations are carried out by optimizing marketing communications by implementing a promotional mix including advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations and direct marketing to achieve marketing success. And the implementation of the implementation of marketing communications indirectly forms a brand image that is attached to society.
