Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena keragaman yang ada di Indonesia, baik dalam bahasa, agama, suku, ras, adat, dan budaya. Agar semangat persatuan dan kesatuan rakyat Indonesia tetap hidup di tengah ancaman disintegrasi bangsa, pembelajaran yang didasarkan pada nilai-nilai kebhinekaan sangat penting. Salah satu cara terbaik untuk meningkatkan rasa kebangsaan adalah dengan mempelajari sejarah dan menanamkan nilai dan arti multikultural. Studi literatur atau kajian literatur digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sumber penelitian adalah buku dan jurnal yang relevan. 1. Penentuan topik penelitian, 2. Identifikasi kata kunci, 3. Pencarian literatur, 4. Pemilihan literatur, 5. Tinjauan literatur, 6. Penyusunan kerangka konseptual, 7. Analisis literatur, 8. Tinjauan literatur penulisan, 9. Revisi dan perbaikan, dan 10. Penambahan literatur. Proses analisis terdiri dari tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural dalam pembelajaran sejarah diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kerukunan antar suku, agama, dan kelompok sosial lainnya. Hal ini dapat dicapai dengan bekerja sama dengan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip kebersamaan, kesetaraan, dan saling menghormati yang terkandung dalam Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, yang berkontribusi pada integrasi nasional bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is based on an awareness of the imbalance of gender representation in history teaching. For a long time, historical narratives constructed in history textbooks have often ignored women's contributions and created a limited narrative regarding the role of gender in the development of society. Indonesian historical narratives need to be reformulated through a multicultutal perspective approach to include the experiences and contributions of diverse gender groups from diverse backgrounds and cultures in the teaching of history. The purpose of this research is to strive for critical, sustainable and transformative reflection in teaching gender-aware history through a multicultural perspective. This research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The result of this research is a deep understanding and awareness of gender to students as well as knowledge of gender imbalance in Indonesian history materials.

Abstract

Abstract: History education in the 21st century faces various challenges, especially in presenting sensitive and traumatic historical material, otherwise known as "difficult history". This paper aims to explore the relevance of Jürgen Habermas' critical hermeneutics in understanding and teaching this complex history using library research. Habermas' critical hermeneutics, which seeks to uncover structures of domination in language and social interaction and promote emancipation through democratic and inclusive dialogue, offers an approach that can free individuals from distorted historical understanding. Critical hermeneutics enables a dialogical and reflective process of meaning by using the methods of verstehen (understanding) and erklären (explanation). In Indonesia's history education context, various dark events, such as serious human rights violations, are the focus that requires this approach. Through the application of critical hermeneutics, it is hoped that history education can become a means of reconciliation and social transformation, encouraging the creation of a communicative, critical society free from the hegemony of dominating power. Abstrak: Pendidikan sejarah di abad ke-21 menghadapi tantangan yang beragam, terutama dalam menyajikan materi sejarah yang sensitif dan traumatis, atau dikenal sebagai "difficult history". Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi relevansi hermeneutika kritis Jürgen Habermas dalam memahami dan mengajarkan sejarah yang kompleks ini dengan menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan. Hermeneutika kritis Habermas, yang berupaya mengungkap struktur dominasi dalam bahasa dan interaksi sosial serta mempromosikan emansipasi melalui dialog yang demokratis dan inklusif, menawarkan pendekatan yang dapat membebaskan individu dari distorsi pemahaman sejarah. Dengan menggunakan metode verstehen (pemahaman) dan erklären (penjelasan), hermeneutika kritis memungkinkan proses pemaknaan yang dialogis dan reflektif. Dalam konteks pendidikan sejarah di Indonesia, berbagai peristiwa kelam seperti pelanggaran HAM berat menjadi fokus yang membutuhkan pendekatan ini. Melalui penerapan hermeneutika kritis, diharapkan pendidikan sejarah dapat menjadi sarana rekonsiliasi dan transformasi sosial, mendorong terciptanya masyarakat yang komunikatif, kritis, dan bebas dari hegemoni dominasi kekuasaan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the history of diversity in Lombok, especially in East Cakranegara Village, then explore more deeply related to the relations that exist between Muslim and Hindu communities in the village. Cakranegara is one of the areas in West Lombok that has a diverse population. This is inseparable from the history of the Karangasem kingdom that once ruled Lombok. Religious pluralism reflected in the activities of the community in East Cakranegara Village shows that harmony is established not without reason but there is an underlying history, so it is necessary to conduct further research on how the dynamics of society are established in the midst of differences in beliefs between religious communities. It will certainly affect the knowledge of the community that is able to foster tolerance, tolerance, and empathy that makes people live in harmony amid differences.  This research uses historical research methods that include heuristics/source collection, source verification/critique, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the discussion of this paper explain that the interaction between Muslims and Hindus is well established, as evidenced by the activities they do together during the religious ceremonies of each religion.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing symptoms of strengthening identity politics. As a pluralistic nation, this phenomenon is dangerous because it can lead to social conflict and national disintegration. This research was conducted with the aim that educational institutions can play a role in minimizing this potential. What he can do is instill the values of multiculturalism in learning practices, especially in history learning. For this reason, the problems that are tried to be put forward in this research are: 1) what is meant by multiculturalism education? 2) what is the conception of multiculturalism education in history learning? 3) how can a multiculturalism narrative be developed in history learning materials? This research uses a literature study method. The literature study obtained data from several library sources such as journal articles, books, the internet, newspapers, and magazines. The study revealed that multiculturalism education is a concept created to help someone understand and appreciate regardless of the high or low culture, ethnicity, religion, race, gender, language, economic ability, or disability inherent in a person. Learning history with a multiculturalism approach is ideological. In history learning, multiculturalism education can be carried out by accommodating students' cultural differences, utilizing culture as a source of content, and using history as a tool to understand other people's cultures in order to grow mutual respect, tolerance, a sense of unity and the spirit of nationalism. A historical event that can be used as an alternative narrative in the development of multiculturalism education is when Suharto, at the beginning of his reign, tried to re-establish Pancasila and the 45' constitution as the ideology and basis of the state amid the threat of ideological conflicts between political parties and the emergence of an inclusive Islamic movement led by Nurcholish Madjid as a response to the death of the movement Islamic politics during the Orde Baru era.

Abstract

This study aims to map the ability of historical empathy in learning the history of global diversity. This article adopts qualitative research with literature review method. The steps in this method are: first, identifying the formulation of the problem; second, identifying relevant research; third, selecting studies; fourth, mapping the data; and fifth, compiling, summarizing, and reporting the results. The results of the study describe the definition of historical empathy, the construction of the concept of historical empathy in the formation of the character of global diversity, and the practice of historical empathy with insight into global diversity, which includes relevant learning models, learning resources, and appropriate learning materials. The Learning Model includes introduction, investigation, display, and reflection. Learning resources are recommended through films or museums and must be adapted to learning materials. The implications of this study as a reference material for history teachers in learning design who want to develop historical empathy skills, especially based on global diversity in order to strengthen the character of “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” for students who are tolerant, democratic, open-minded, and critical thinking.

Abstract

Peran pembelajaran sejarah dalam mengurangi krisis empati adalah dengan membumikan empati sejarah. Namun, pengajaran dan penelitian tentang empati sejarah belum terlalu masif karena di Indonesia konsep empati sejarah relatif baru dan belum banyak data empiris yang diadopsi oleh para akademisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan konsep dan pengajaran empati sejarah dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Artikel ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode kajian literatur Arksey & O'Malley (2005), yaitu: pertama, mengidentifikasi pernyataan masalah; kedua, mengidentifikasi penelitian yang relevan; ketiga, menyeleksi penelitian; keempat, memetakan data; dan kelima, menyusun, meringkas, dan melaporkan hasil. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi definisi empati sejarah dari berbagai ahli yang disajikan dengan garis kontinum, dan pedagogi empati sejarah yang meliputi: model pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan; materi atau tema pembelajaran yang cocok; kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran; serta level ketercapaian empati sejarah bagi peserta didik. Implikasi studi ini sebagai opsi literatur bagi peneliti selanjutnya dan sebagai bahan referensi bagi guru sejarah dalam mendesain pembelajaran yang ingin mengembangkan keterampilan empati sejarah agar menguatkan karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila bagi peserta didik yang toleran, peduli, demokratis, dan berpikir terbuka.

Abstract

Perpustakaan merupakan hal penting dan dibutuhkan untuk mencari ilmu dan informasi buku. Pada perpustakaan Universitas SaintekMuhammadiyah, pencatatan dan pencarian masih secara manual yang menyebabkan pelayanan kurang efektif dan efisien. Terdapat kelemahan pada sistem pengolahan data yang sedang berjalan, yaitu berupa penyusunan data yang tidak terstruktur, lebih berpotensidata hilang hingga rusak karena data dalam bentuk fisik, terlebih pencarian buku yang masih terasa cukup rumit dan memakan waktu. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi keterbatasan tersebut maka dilakukannya penelitian dengan mengembangkan sistem informasiperpustakaan. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Waterfall, yang mendekati software alur hidup secara terurut dan tertata. Adapun tahapannya terdiri dari Requirment Analisys, Design, Implementation, Testing, Maintenance. Padapengembangan aplikasi menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor), MySQL, XAMPP serta menggunakansistem observasi, wawancara untuk pengambilan data penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian adalah terciptanya sebuah aplikasi yang dapat mempermudah proses pendaftaran, peminjaman danpengembalian, dan pencarian buku secara singkat yang mana semula harus mencari terlebih dulu hingga memakan waktu cukup lama.

Abstract

Syria and Yemen are countries that have been hit by prolonged conflict. This conflict occurred because of demands to revolutionize the corrupt government. The demands for revolution in Yemen initially succeeded in overthrowing Ali Al Saleh as president of the country. Instead of the overthrow of Ali Al Saleh, the situation in Yemen became conducive to the opposite, namely a condition where Yemen became a country that lost its political orientation. This is different from Syria where Hafez Assad handed over full military power in order to continue his power so that Syria is still fully controlled by Hafez Assad. This study discusses the comparison of the situations of the two countries during the revolution that occurred in the Middle East.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of using flipbooks as digital-based history teaching materials in elementary schools in the Lembang area. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study found that flipbooks can significantly improve students' motivation, engagement, and understanding. The test results showed an increase in students' average scores and critical thinking skills. Despite challenges such as limited technological devices and teacher readiness, proper support allows flipbooks to function effectively in learning. Teachers play an important role as facilitators and innovators in the integration of this technology. These findings indicate the great potential of flipbooks to improve the quality of education, as well as the importance of widespread adoption in other school curricula.
