Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the dissemination of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in primary schools serving as model schools. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews. The analysis was carried out using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product) to identify supporting factors, constraints, and implementation achievements. The results show that, in the context aspect, the policies and commitment of the model schools form a strong foundation for the dissemination process. In the input aspect, support in terms of human resources, infrastructure, and funding is relatively adequate, although limitations still exist in recipient schools. The process aspect demonstrates a structured program implementation through training, mentoring, and continuous monitoring. In the product aspect, there is an increase in the recipient schools’ understanding of the SPMI concept, and most have successfully implemented the PPEPP cycle (Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement). However, program sustainability still requires strengthened supervision and collaboration between schools. This study recommends the development of more adaptive coaching strategies tailored to the conditions of recipient schools and the optimization of the role of school supervisors.

Abstract

Background This study investigates the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and students’ critical thinking skills on science learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed an experimental method with a 2×2 factorial design, involving two independent variable learning models (PjBL) and conventional learning) and critical thinking skills (high and low) and one dependent variable, namely science learning outcomes. The participants consisted of 67 fifth-grade students from SDN Pejaten Barat 06, South Jakarta, divided into an experimental group (34 students) and a control group (33 students). Data were collected using science learning outcome tests, critical thinking questionnaires, observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. Instrument validity and reliability were tested prior to data analysis. The data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA and t-tests with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that the application of the Project-Based Learning model had a significant positive effect on students’ science learning outcomes. The experimental group achieved a higher average posttest score (92.13) compared to the control group (77.39). Students’ critical thinking skills also significantly influenced learning outcomes, with students who demonstrated high critical thinking skills achieving better results than those with lower levels. Furthermore, the analysis revealed a significant interaction between the PjBL model and critical thinking skills on science learning outcomes, indicating that PjBL is more effective when accompanied by the development of students’ critical thinking abilities. In conclusion, the Project-Based Learning model integrated with critical thinking development is effective in improving science learning outcomes, promoting active participation, collaboration, and higher-order thinking skills. This learning model is recommended as an innovative instructional approach to enhance the quality of science learning in elementary schools in accordance with 21st-century educational demands.

Abstract

Distance education has expanded rapidly with the increasing use of digital technologies. It often presents challenges related to learner engagement, interaction, and the development of practical competencies. Integrating scientific workshops and ergonomic learning design may provide a more interactive and supportive learning environment. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating scientific workshops into distance education to enhance students’ competencies, particularly in supporting the preparation of final research projects. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining descriptive quantitative analysis with qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews. The study involved 197 participants and data were collected using structured questionnaires and follow-up interviews with selected informants. The quantitative results show that 91.3% of participants gained new knowledge related to TAPM and TAPD, 98.9% reported that the materials supported their final project writing, and 99.5% found the practical training in research tools and output interpretation beneficial. Qualitative findings further indicate that the workshops improved participants’ understanding of research methods and fostered collaborative learning, although some participants experienced difficulties in independently applying the research tools. These findings suggest that integrating scientific workshops with ergo-iconic instructional design can improve engagement, strengthen research competencies, and support more effective learning experiences in distance education environments.
