Abstract

The research to determine a effect of microwave power on the quality of red chilies with variations in microwave power during drying. The research parameters are Moisture content, rehydration ratio and specific energy consumption (SEC), changes in color, texture and aroma. The data analysis by analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The input level of microwave power has an effect drying red chilies, which is able reduce moisture water content ranging from 9-12% bb with and time 140-180 minutes. Rehydration ratio ranges from 1.42-1.82 for dried red chilies due to good microwave power treatment for chilies at 200 Watt power treatment. The amount of energy consumption for drying red chilies is smallest in the 300 Watt treatment, which is 466.91 kWhg-1. The characteristics of red chili from organoleptic test were obtained from most color researcher (4.49) in the 250 Watt treatment, the best aroma (4.61) in the 250 Watt treatment and the best texture (4.81) in the 200 Watt treatment, but overall acceptance was most preferred panelists in the 250 Watt power treatment with an acceptance level of (3.89). From this study, it was obtained that there was a variation in the influence of microwave power variations on the quality of red.

Abstract

The importance of education for every human being, because without education it is impossible for a human community to live to develop in line with their aspirations to progress, experience change, prosper and be happy as they see life. The higher the ideals of mankind increasingly demanded the improvement of the quality of education as a means of achievement. Al-Hamid's educational institution is a school that has advantages, namely: General education and boarding schools that educate students / students who are very unifying forms of thought patterns between formal and informal growing and this al-hamid boarding school is increasingly in demand from parents / guardians of the santri. The process of accepting new students (PSB) AL-HAMID is done by using Microsoft Excel, besides important documents in physical form (print out / hard copy ) only stored in folders or cabinets, storing separate and piling files creates difficulties in finding data and creating reports. By creating a new student admission information system PON-PES AL-HAMID uses borlan delphi 7 and MySQL, users can easily see, add, and update the data you want.

Abstract

A temperature monitoring system is essential in research, especially in the field of energy conversion in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program. One of the most commonly used systems is a data logger; however, its high cost often limits accessibility. An alternative hardware that can function as a data logger is the Arduino microcontroller. This study aims to design and develop a 10-channel temperature data logger system based on a microcontroller using the CJMCU MAX31856 amplifier module. The system integrates a type-K thermocouple sensor, DS3231 RTC module, SD Card module, and OLED display. The research applies both hardware and software design methods, covering component selection, hardware assembly, programming, and functional testing with calibration. The system was tested in a laboratory for three days to monitor the room temperature. The results showed that data from all channels overlapped closely, although minor measurement errors occasionally occurred. Linear regression analysis yielded an R² of 0.99, indicating high accuracy compared with an Autonic temperature controller. Further testing on copper pipes exposed to hot-water heat transfer showed a temperature increase trend, with readings ranging from 27 °C to 39 °C. The system proves reliable, accurate, and cost-efficient for laboratory energy research applications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem data logger pengukur suhu yang dapat digunakan dalam berbagai penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pengukuran temperatur secara akurat dan kontinu. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan platform Arduino sebagai mikrokontroler open-source yang mudah diprogram dan fleksibel dalam integrasi perangkat. Untuk membaca suhu dari sensor termokopel tipe K, digunakan modul amplifier MAX31855 (Adafruit) yang mampu mengkonversi sinyal menjadi data digital dengan akurasi yang baik. Sistem dirancang memiliki delapan channel sehingga mampu melakukan pengukuran suhu secara simultan pada beberapa titik, yang sangat berguna dalam penelitian distribusi temperatur seperti pada studi perpindahan panas atau sistem termal. Selain itu, sistem dilengkapi dengan display OLED berukuran 0,96 inci yang memungkinkan pemantauan data secara real-time tanpa perangkat tambahan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh channel berfungsi dengan baik dan stabil dalam membaca suhu. Data hasil pengukuran tidak hanya ditampilkan secara langsung, tetapi juga berhasil direkam secara real-time ke dalam SD Card, sehingga memudahkan penyimpanan dan analisis lebih lanjut. Dengan demikian, data logger ini memiliki potensi besar untuk diaplikasikan secara luas dalam kegiatan penelitian berbasis pengukuran suhu.

Abstract

Rapid urbanization and climate change exacerbate the urban heat island (UHI) effect, which challenges environmental quality in tropical cities. However, empirical studies on microclimates in medium-sized cities are still limited. This study aims to analyze variations in air temperature and relative humidity in four types of land use (education, housing, terminals, markets) in Baruga District, Kendari, and identify the contributing factors. A quantitative and experimental field approach was used by measuring temperature and humidity at 30 points using data loggers. Measurements were taken during the day and afternoon for two weeks, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, One-Way ANOVA, and Tukey HSD test. The results showed significant temperature differences during the day (F(3, 116) = 4.21, p = 0.007), with the market area being the hottest (34.50°C) and the terminal being the coolest (32.18°C). Areas with large green spaces (education and residential) were cooler. There were no significant differences in the afternoon or in relative humidity. In conclusion, land use significantly affects the urban microclimate during the day. Impervious surfaces increase temperature, while vegetation plays a crucial role in UHI mitigation. This emphasizes the importance of integrating green spaces into tropical urban planning.

Abstract

The Marpege-Pege tradition, a practice of mutual assistance and cooperation in the Pargarutan Village community, South Tapanuli Regency, is a form of local wisdom that still survives amidst the currents of modernization. This research is based on the academic urgency to show how living hadith works within the local cultural realm and contributes to the preservation of customary values that are in harmony with Islam. The research aims to identify Marpege-Pege values that are relevant to Islamic principles, interpret their relationship with the hadith on mutual assistance, brotherhood, and deliberation, and explain the internalization of hadith teachings in the community's social practices. This research was conducted using a qualitative-phenomenological method with participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and field documentation as primary data sources, which were then analyzed by emphasizing the relationship between the hadith text and customary practices. The results show that Marpege-Pege is understood by the community not only as a customary tradition, but also as an implementation of the Prophet's hadith on community solidarity, mutual cooperation in goodness, and mutual assistance in social and religious matters. Collective activities such as housebuilding, weddings, and agricultural management demonstrate the values of togetherness, deliberation, volunteerism, and Islamic brotherhood, which serve as the basis for religious legitimacy for these practices. In conclusion, Marpege-Pege serves as a medium for harmonious integration between custom and Islam, while demonstrating the relevance of living hadith in strengthening social cohesion and providing a conceptual contribution to the study of the relationship between local traditions and Islamic teachings.
