Abstract

Teaching factory is a learning concept that adapts the learning conditions in school to those in the industry. But the problem in vocational education today is the lack of absorbed practicum learning caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the focus of this research is the teaching factory learning program at Telkom Malang Vocational High School (TMVHS) during the pandemic. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The location of this research is in TMVHS. The results from the study showed that the preparation carried out by TMVHS was done by finding an industry that was following the competence of students' expertise as partners. The implementation of the teaching factory at TMVHS is the teacher becomes the primary instructor in helping students because learning is completely done online. In addition, there are inhibitory factors during the teaching factory learning process, especially in the pandemic season, namely reduced interaction between students and industry. But these inhibitory factors can be overcome by students who have the enthusiasm and high learning motivation.

Abstract

The paper aims to describe the effort to optimize special job fairs in the tracer study conducted by Public Vocational High School (PVHS). This was a literature review using the content analysis method, in which the researcher reviewed some research and studies published in both national and international journals and other written works relevant to the topic of this article, namely optimalizing Special Job Fairs in VET tracer studies. The result of the review showed that the unemployment rate of VHS graduates was higher than that of other educational institutions. One of the causal factors behind this poor condition was the fact that those graduates had difficulty making steps in building their career after graduation. This suggested the need for the optimization of special job fairs as events held to provide strategic direction and illustration of what VHS students should do after graduation. Abstract

The learning process is conducted by interactively, inspirative, fun, and motivates the students with technology in order to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes. Then, this research aimed to improve students' learning motivation in Oriental Food Processing during online learning using digital smart book learning media. The subjects in this study were the 4th-semester students of Culinary Art Education Study Program, Industrial Technology, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Malang. The analysis used descriptive analysis. The data was collected using questioner through a Google form. Results showed that around ninety students were motivated to follow online learning using digital smart book media. Thus, it exhibited that the digital smart book learning media helped improve students learning motivation. The conclusion, this technology could be used for other courses as an innovative solution to overcome students' problems and difficulties in the online learning process.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the achievement of competencies in the field of Fiber Optic Installation Engineering (TIFO) among vocational school graduates in Indonesia and their subsequent performance in the workforce. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the research examines the relationship between several key variables, including national examination scores, quality of infrastructure, teaching competence, and telecommunication systems subject scores. Path analysis structural equation modeling was employed to determine the direct and indirect effects of these variables on TIFO competency achievement and graduates’ performance. The findings reveal that the quality of infrastructure is the most significant contributor to competency achievement, accounting for 36.24% of the variance. Teaching competence also plays a crucial role, contributing 12.82% to the attainment of competencies. Moreover, the study demonstrates that the achievement of TIFO competencies significantly impacts the performance of vocational school graduates in the industrial sector, explaining 71.9% of their overall performance. These results underscore the importance of high-quality infrastructure and effective teaching in vocational education, highlighting their roles in enhancing competency development and employability among graduates. The study concludes that focused improvements in these areas could substantially benefit the vocational education system, aligning educational outcomes more closely with industry needs and enhancing the employability and performance of graduates in the workforce.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i32024p111

Abstract

Masterweb is a concept where multiple web services are integrated into a centralized platform, offering seamless access and management of various online tools and resources. Research discusses the effectiveness of masterweb in optimizing digital-based learning and education management. Research method uses a mix method approach with an exploratory design. Paper also highlights the importance of transforming learning media in the digital era and how digitalization can improve the quality of vocational education. Research results show that the application of Masterweb allows the adoption of blended learning methods that combine conventional approaches with digital elements. Collaboration with expert companies in developing e-learning and multimedia systems also ensures the availability of ICT infrastructure that supports the smooth learning process. With Masterweb, teachers and school management can be more effective in recording teaching and learning activities, monitoring student attendance, and increasing the effectiveness of monitoring and developing student skills. This research provides important insights into the importance of technology integration in education to increase efficiency, effectiveness, management and the attractiveness of learning in the digital era

Abstract

Pada era revolusi industri 4.0 digitalisasi berkembang berdampak pada industri-industri dalam bidang fashion. Adanya perkembangan tersebut maka menyebabkan peserta didik di SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Tata Busana mulai diperkenalkan menggunakan software aplikasi dalam membuat produk desain digital. Guru produktif tata busana pada saat ini harus bisa menerapkan konsep virtual reality fashion dengan memanfaatkan software aplikasi sebagai media pembelajaran dalam mengajarkan peserta didik untuk membuat desain berbasis digital. Akan tetapi permasalahan yang ada yaitu masih kurangnya media pembelajaran seperti video tutorial, buku pendamping, dan modul sebagai pendukungnya. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukannya pengembangan media pembelajaran video tutorial dalam membuat virtual reality fashion. Tahapan proses pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan metode penelitian R&D dengan mengadaptasi model penelitian dan pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap pengembangan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Hasil dari pengembangan video pembelajaran pembuatan virtual reality fashion dinyatakan sangat layak dengan skor masing-masing yaitu 4,71 dan 4,82, rata-rata skor keseluruhan yaitu 95% dengan kategori sangat layak. Tingkat Efektifan video pembelajaran sebesar 77%. Hasil pengembangan video pembelajaran pembuatan virtual reality fashion mempermudah siswa dalam membuat desain berbasis digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dosen dan mahasiswa terhadap efektivitas penggunaan teknologi AR untuk industri arsitektur dan jasa konstruksi serta tugas-tugas yang terkait, melalui penggunaan perangkat seluler. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survey. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dosen dan mahasiswa program studi arsitektur Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi STIKMA Malang. Instrumen penelitian dikembangkan dari hasil studi literatur dan studi pendahuluan untuk membangun basis pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang teknologi AR. Kuesioner terbagi menjadi: 1) Informasi Umum: untuk mengidentifikasi latar belakang responden; 2) Pengetahuan tentang AR/VR: untuk menilai pemahaman responden tentang AR; 3) AR di industri konstruksi: untuk mengukur pandangan peserta tentang kesesuaian AR untuk tugas konstruksi; dan 4) Fokus Studi: untuk mengukur kelayakan mengadopsi solusi AR di industri konstruksi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi terhadap penerapan teknologi AR untuk konstruksi umumnya positif. Anomali tak terduga di sini tampaknya adalah Pendidikan dan Jejaring Sosial hanya 3 dan 4 orang yang percaya bahwa teknologi VR dan AR akan sangat bermanfaat. Teknologi AR akan berguna untuk tugas-tugas konstruksi tetapi akan membutuhkan lebih banyak pekerjaan di beberapa area tertentu (seperti manajemen proyek/lokasi serta inspeksi dan pemeliharaan), jika cakupannya lebih luas dan lebih detail.

Abstract

This article conducts a systematic literature review (SLR) focusing on the application of Augmented Reality (AR) as an educational tool. The review process, guided by SLR and PRISMA methodologies, included steps such as identification, screening, eligibility assessment, inclusion, and data analysis, utilizing tools like Publish or Perish 8 and NVIVO 12 Plus. An initial search on Scopus produced 800 articles, which were subsequently narrowed down to 59 relevant studies. These were analyzed with NVIVO 12 Plus according to specific topics. The results indicate that AR effectively enhances students' academic achievement, interest, motivation, and participation across various subjects such as science, mathematics, languages, and engineering education. However, challenges include hardware and software limitations and insufficient technical training for teachers. AR holds great potential for improving learning experiences, particularly for students with special needs. Future developments should focus on affordable software and adequate teacher training to expand AR's educational use. Further research should explore AR in vocational education to better understand its specific requirements.

Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan merupakan satuan pendidikan yang pada saat ini sedang dikembangkan secara merata oleh pemerintah. Pendidikan kejuruan merupakan pendidikan menengah yang mempersiapkan peserta didik terutama untuk bekerja dalam bidang tertentu. Peneliti memilih mata pelajaran kejuruan dikarenakan mata pelajaran kejuruan sebagai mata pelajaran utama sebagai penunjang untuk menjadikan lulusan SMK menjadi lulusan yang dapat bersaing di dunia kerja. Pada era pandemi yang terjadi saat ini mengharuskan pembelajaran dilakukan secara online, salah satu model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi pandemi adalah blended learning. Blended learning yang digunakan adalah flipped classroom. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh antara proses pembelajaran, sarana prasarana, dan media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian expost facto dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier ganda. Hasil dari penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) tidak terdapat pengaruh antara proses pembelajaran dengan hasil belajar; (2) tidak terdapat pengaruh antara sarana prasarana pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar; (3) terdapat pengaruh positif antara media pembelajaran dengan hasil belajar; dan (4) secara simultan tidak terdapat pengaruh secara antara proses belajar, sarana prasarana, dan media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan perlu adanya perhatian khusus pada media pembelajaran karena dalam pembelajaran blended learning dengan flipped classroom, siswa harus dapat mempelajari materi secara mandiri terlebih dahulu sebelum masuk di kelas untuk menguasai teori lalu akan dipraktikkan melalui pembelajaran tatap muka

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) dalam meningkatkan ketercapaian keterampilan abad ke-21 (4C Skills), yaitu Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Collaboration, dan Communication, pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang melibatkan analisis komprehensif terhadap berbagai studi yang relevan dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TPACK dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek, desain kreatif, dan model pembelajaran kooperatif secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi siswa. Faktor utama keberhasilan penerapan TPACK meliputi integrasi teknologi dengan pedagogi dan konten yang dirancang untuk mendorong keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran yang mendalam dan relevan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa TPACK adalah kerangka konseptual yang efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 siswa, dengan implikasi praktis bagi guru dan pemangku kepentingan dalam mendesain program pembelajaran yang inovatif.
