Abstract

This study analyzes basic table tennis technique mastery among STKIP Pasundan students and identifies influencing factors. Using quantitative descriptive methods, 60 students from 150 Physical Education students were selected through simple random sampling. Research instruments included observation sheets assessing six basic techniques (grip, stance, footwork, serve, forehand, backhand) and Likert scale questionnaires measuring internal factors (motivation, interest, physical condition) and external factors (facilities, social support, learning methods). Results showed 56.7% of students achieved moderate mastery, 16.6% high, and 26.7% low. Service technique had highest mastery (25%), footwork lowest (40%). Internally, motivation was high (65%) but physical condition adequate for only 40%. Externally, facilities (63.3%) and learning methods (60%) were inadequate, though social support was sufficient (53.3%). Conclusion: Students predominantly achieve moderate technique mastery. Enhanced motivation, physical conditioning, improved facilities, and innovative teaching methods are essential for advancing table tennis technique proficiency.Coba lagiClaude dapat membuat kesalahan. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Hybrid Gamification-TPACK approach on improving 4Cs Skills (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity) and Physical Literacy of 8th-grade students in athletic learning. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population was all 8th-grade students of SMPN 1 Cikao, Garut Regency, totaling 48 students who were sampled using total sampling technique. The sample was divided into experimental group (n=24) receiving Hybrid Gamification-TPACK learning and control group (n=24) receiving conventional learning. The intervention duration was 10 weeks with a frequency of 2 meetings per week. Research instruments used 4Cs Skills Assessment Rubric and Physical Literacy Assessment for Youth (PLAY) Tools. Data analysis used Independent Sample t-test and Paired Sample t-test with significance level α=0.05. Results: Results showed significant improvements in the experimental group for 4Cs Skills (pretest: M=64.25, SD=8.67; posttest: M=85.17, SD=6.42; p<0.001) and Physical Literacy (pretest: M=68.50, SD=9.23; posttest: M=87.33, SD=7.15; p<0.001). The control group also experienced improvements but not as significant as the experimental group. There were significant differences between experimental and control groups on posttest 4Cs Skills (p<0.001; Cohen's d=2.89) and Physical Literacy (p<0.001; Cohen's d=2.42). Conclusion: The Hybrid Gamification-TPACK approach proved effective in improving 4Cs Skills and Physical Literacy of junior high school students in athletic learning and can be an innovative alternative in 21st-century Physical Education learning

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between perfectionism, coping strategies, and burnout in competitive young athletes. This research uses a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. Participants consisted of 30 young athletes aged 15–19 years; M = 16.8; SD = 1.3, recruited from several Education Centers and PPLP in West Java, with a minimum of three years of competitive training experience. The instruments used were the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire (ABQ), the Sport-Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale 2 (Sport-MPS 2), and the Brief-COPE. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. The research findings indicate that concern over mistakes as a form of maladaptive perfectionism is positively and significantly correlated with all dimensions of burnout. Conversely, personal standards as a form of adaptive perfectionism did not show a significant relationship with burnout and sport devaluation, and had a weak negative correlation with reduced feelings of achievement. Problem-focused coping strategies are negatively correlated with burnout, while emotion/avoidance-focused coping strategies are positively correlated. Regression analysis shows that maladaptive perfectionism is a significant predictor of burnout, with coping strategies playing a role in strengthening or weakening this influence. In conclusion, burnout in young athletes is influenced by the interaction between perfectionistic characteristics and the coping strategies used. These findings confirm the importance of sports psychology interventions that focus on managing maladaptive perfectionism and strengthening adaptive coping strategies in the context of coaching young athletes in Indonesia.

Abstract

The writer's observation of the table tennis extracurricular activity at SMPN 8 Cimahi revealed issues related to parental involvement and student discipline, which have become obstacles for the school in achieving optimal coaching objectives. The research problem is formulated as follows: How does parental involvement contribute to improving the discipline of students participating in the table tennis extracurricular activity? This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. The population consists of 50 active students enrolled in the table tennis extracurricular activity at SMPN 8 Cimahi. Thesampling technique used is purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 25 respondents. The research instrument utilized in this study is a questionnaire, with data analyzed using frequency distribution techniques. The results indicate that 76% of parents’ roles are categorized as “good,” while 24% fall under the “fair” category. This reflects a generally positive level of parental involvement in supporting student discipline. These findings demonstrate that parentalinvolvement significantly influences the development of student discipline in extracurricular activities. Parents can reinforce students' character development, particularly discipline, through support provided both at home and within the school environment. In conclusion, in addition to teachers, parental involvement is also essential in improving student discipline. A persuasive approach should be applied to students categorized as having “fair” discipline, to help them build a stronger commitment toward positive behavioral changes in table tennis extracurricularactivities.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of cooperative learning in optimizing basic table tennis service techniques for class X students at MA MISBAHUNNUR, Cimahi City. Using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, 80 students aged 15–16 years participated (40 experimental, 40 control). The experimental group received STAD-type cooperative learning for 16 sessions, while the control group used conventional methods. A forehand and backhand service skill test (reliability 0.89) served as the instrument. Independent sample t-test analysis revealed significant differences (p < 0.05) between the experimental group (M = 78.45, SD = 6.32) and control group (M = 68.20, SD = 7.15), with effect size d = 1.52 (large). The experimental group showed 34.2% improvement versus 18.6% in the control group. The cooperative learning model effectively optimized table tennis service techniques and positively impacted students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development.

The results showed that the maximum value obtained was 94, the minimum value was 78, the average was 85.47, the median was 3.29, and the standard deviation was 1.02. The final results showed that 13% of athletes experienced anxiety within reasonable limits and were still able to control their emotions even though they felt afraid and doubtful. As many as 86% of athletes showed high to very high anxiety. These findings prove that ACL injuries have a significant impact on the psychological condition of athletes.
