Abstract

This study seeks to examine community-based aspects as social education for the success of managing cultural tourism objects after the COVID-19 pandemic. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Informants in this study are key informants, namely managers of cultural tourism objects, geucik, visitors and the community around cultural tourism objects. Informant retrieval technique using snowball sampling technique. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found that the community-based aspect as a successful tourism object management strongly supports the sustainability of tourism in Bireuen district both in terms of the role of outsiders, justice, conflict resolution, empowerment, knowledge and awareness, and sustainable use. In addition, the need for collaboration in the development of cultural tourism objects that are effective in advancing a common vision in the development of cultural tourism objects in a sustainable manner. One of the recommendations is that the authorities should pay more attention to the implementation of better tourism policies and services and maximize the benefit of local communities.

Abstract

Aceh Province is one of the mainstay sectors in the field of tourism, but the reality on the ground shows that the community lacks the ability and knowledge to develop tourism, one of which is cultural tourism objects in Bireuen Regency. This of course requires the right solutions and strategies in developing regional tourism potential. The tourism potential in the region is very large and diverse while prioritizing beauty and uniqueness. Tourism development requires the participation of all components, namely: government, private sector, and society. The government plays a role in facilitating tourism development. This community service activity aimed to describe social education through empowering the community managing cultural tourism objects using the tourism awareness education module. The method of implementing the activity was carried out by implementing a training program in the form of learning using the tourism awareness education module. As for the results of this training activity, it was found that social education has been effective in increasing partners' knowledge in the development of sustainable cultural tourism objects. Therefore, the community and the tourism agency should actively participate in developing cultural tourism objects, which can become one of the regional tourism icons in increasing people's sources of income through tourist visits.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini di latar belakangi sebagai upaya untuk mengimplementasi nilai gotong royong dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat Paya Nie. Sementara itu, nilai yang terdapat pada budaya gotong royong memiliki peran penting sebagai pemersatu bangsa. Pengabdian ini bertujuan 1) untuk memotivasi masyarakat agar peduli terhadap lingkungan keberlangsungan dan kelestarian paya nie serta dapat menjalin tali silaturahmi, menjalin komunikasi yang baik, dan menerapkan kepedulian sosial di dalam kehidupan masyarakat, menumbuhkan rasa dan sikap saling tolong menolong, sukarela, saling membantu, dan mempunyai sifat kekeluargaan. 2) membina hubungan sosial yang baik terhadap masyarakat disekitar. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh setelah kegiatan PKM ini adalah : 1) Pelaksanaan gotong royong pada kegiatan pengabdian terlaksana bekerjasama antara mahasiswa PIPS Pascasarjana dan masyarakat paya nie, kegiatan yang dilaksanakan berupa penanaman tanaman pucuk merah dan membersihkan lingkungan sekitar paya nie, 2) Faktor penghambat kegiatan gotong royong pada kegiatan pengabdian yaitu masih kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam mendukung kelestarian lingkungan paya nie, tidak adanya petugas rutin dalam mengelola lingkungan paya nie, keterbatasan biaya yang dimiliki masyarakat paya nie, rendahnya ketersediaan sumber daya manusia di dalam masyarakat paya nie dan keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana pendukung. 3) Upaya melestarikan kegiatan gotong royong pada pengabdian ini dapat dilakukan dengan menjaga tali silaturahmi, menjalin komunikasi yang baik dan menerapkan kepedulian sosial di dalam kehidupan masyarakat.

Abstract

AbstractCommunity service activities began with the problem of limited S1 graduates in the Social Education field to continue their education to the postgraduate level in Aceh Province, especially in Bireuen Regency. The objectives of community service activities are 1) as a manifestation of the Tridarma of Higher Education lecturers in the Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Almuslim University, 2) to provide feedback on curriculum development by stakeholder needs before it is implemented. The implementation of community service activities was carried out at the Ampon Check Peusangan Hall, Almuslim University. The results of community service activities included stakeholders strongly supporting the sustainability of the Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Almuslim University in improving the quality of education in Aceh Province, especially Bireuen Regency. The service results were a curriculum draft for the Social Studies Education Study Program.AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berawal dari permasalahan keterbatasan lulusan S1 Bidang Ilmu Pendidikan Sosial untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke tingkat S2 di Provinsi Aceh, terutama Kabupaten Bireuen. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah 1) Sebagai wujud Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dosen pada Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Almuslim, 2) Memberikan umpan balik tentang pengembangan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan stakeholder sebelum diimplementasikan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Gedung Aula Ampon Check Peusangan Universitas Almuslim. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain stakeholder sangat mendukung keberlanjutan Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Almuslim dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Provinsi Aceh, khususnya Kabupaten Bireuen. Hasil pengabdian berupa draft kurikulum Program Studi Magister Pendidikan IPS.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the reproduction of social inequality in public elementary school students. This type of research is qualitative research. The research was conducted at a public elementary school in Kuala District, Bireuen Regency. The informants of this research are school principals, teachers, education staff, and students. Data collection techniques include; observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of; 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) drawing conclusions. The research results show that; a) social inequalities that occur in the realm of elementary school education include; differences in the quality or competence of teachers, lack of concern for each other, differences in social status, lack of school facilities and infrastructure, b) the impact of social inequality, namely violating school rules, students often go in and out of class, students often do not attend school, skip classes during class hours, litter the class, cheat, fight, and bullying, c) The role of teachers and school principals in preventing social inequalities is to provide guidance for students, conduct social visits for school members who have been struck by disasters, increase teacher competence in collaborating with parents of students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of school principals in improving the quality of education at the 16 Juli Public Elementary School, Bireuen District. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The research informants were school principals and teachers at the Juli 16 Public Elementary School. The informant collection technique used the snowball sampling technique. The data collection tool uses field notes. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the role of the principal in improving the quality of education at the Juli 16 Public Elementary School consisted of; a) the role of the principal as an educator, namely providing training and guidance to teachers in improving teacher performance, b) the role of the principal as a manager, namely establishing planning, implementing, organizing, and implementing school program activities, c) the role of the principal as an administrator, namely the ability to manage school administration, finance, student affairs, school facilities and infrastructure, d) the role of the principal as supervisor, namely, the ability to compile and implement supervision programs involving deputy principals and teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to identification the attractions of marine tourism objects. This research was conducted at the Laut Jangka tourist attraction and the Kuala Raja tourist attraction, Bireuen Regency. The research method used is descriptive analysis by conducting an inventory of data and tourism approaches. Primary data inventory was conducted through direct observation of the condition of the objek wisata bahari. Secondary data obtained through literature study of similar research in journals, maps and other sources. This stage is carried out by interviews, and field observations. The research results show that along the coast of Bireuen Regency there are various marine tourism objects managed by the community such as; Laut Jangka beach tourist attraction, Kuala Raja beach tourist attraction, Peuneulet Baroh beach tourist attraction, Reuleng Manyang beach tourist attraction, Calok beach tourist attraction, Laot Lapang beach tourist attraction, Ujong Blang beach tourist attraction, Blang Kiju beach tourist attraction, Pangah beach tourist attraction, and beach tourist attraction Kambuek. Identification of tourist attractions around the coast are; sunset, color of sand, swimming, fishing, catching fish using trawlers, motorbike, outbound.

Abstract

This type of research is qualitative research. The location of this research was carried out at the Aceh traditional assembly institution, Lohkseumawe City. The informants in this research were the chairman of the Aceh traditional assembly, and members of the Aceh traditional assembly. The technique for taking informants uses snowball sampling technique. Data analysis techniques use observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the Acehnese traditional assembly institution in Lohkseumawe City has made good efforts to preserve Acehnese culture. Activities carried out in preserving Acehnese culture are carried out through; a) Socialization, b) Guidance and development of traditional legal life and customs, c) Training.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of life skills education in the Negeri 1 Panjang Buya high school. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The research informants consisted of school principals and teachers. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display, data interpretation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the implementation of strengthening life skills education at the Jangka Buya 1 State High School is classified as good. The implementation of strengthening life skills-based education carried out at the Jangka Buya 1 State High School includes aspects of personal skills, academic skills, social skills and vocational skills.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the character that is built in the implementation of mukemel culture. The research setting was carried out at State Elementary School 04 Jagong Jeget, State Elementary School 06 Jagong Jeget and State Elementary School 16 Pegasing, Central Aceh Regency. The reason for choosing the research location was because the school had implemented mukemel culture as a school culture in building student character. The informants in this research were key informants, namely the school principal, teachers and students. The technique for taking informants uses the snowball sampling technique. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the types of character built in the application of mukemel culture are religious, responsible, peace-loving, honest, creative, democratic, hard working, disciplined. The cultural system of the Gayo community basically contains knowledge, beliefs, values, religion, norms, rules and laws which become a reference for students in behaving through the application of regional culture in the school environment.
