Abstract

Abstract: Anorectal malformation is a congenital abnormality in which the anus does not open normally into the perineum. In several studies, earlier surgery time has a better impact on patients. Toilet training performed postoperatively is assumed to help improve patient defecation patterns. This study is an observational analytical study with a retrospective cohort design. The population in this study were pediatric patients after surgery for Anorectal Malformation based on the Wingspread classification at Prof. R.D. Kandou General Hospital, Manado. The independent variables were fistula type, surgery time, and toilet training. In this study, the dependent variable was postoperative defecation pattern based on the Rintala Score. Bivariate analysis was used to analyze the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. The Somers' D test was used to measure the relationship between categorical variables. The results showed that the variables namely fistula type, surgery time, and toilet training in anorectal malformation did not have statistically significant relationships with postoperative defecation pattern based on the Rintala score (p-value >0.05). The Rintala score does not always describe the anatomical or functional conditions of the anus in detail. In conclusion, there is no significant relationship between fistula type, surgery time, and toilet training in anorectal malformation with postoperative defecation pattern based on the Rintala score. Abstract

Background: Banks are adapting their strategies to align with environmental sustainability through green finance. In Indonesia, green finance is gaining attention, but challenges like inadequate employee attitudes have hindered its progress towards green finance. Purpose: This research aims to understand bank employee’s behavioral intentions as promoters in implementing green finance by examining the impact of attitude, self-efficacy, subjective norms, and behavior control based on the theory of planned behavior, as well as testing whether internal measures moderate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Design/methodology/approach: This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 250 bank employees in Batam, Indonesia. Data were collected via Google Forms from October 16, 2023, to March 6, 2024, and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings/Result: The study found that attitude, subjective norms, and behavioral control significantly impact bank employees' behavioral intentions in Batam City, while self-efficacy does not. Additionally, internal measures do not moderate the influence of attitude, self-efficacy, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on behavioral intention. Conclusion: This study explores how attitudes, self-efficacy, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control influence bank employees' intentions to adopt green finance, moderated by internal measures, using the Theory of Planned Behavior. Understanding these factors can guide the banking sector in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and achieving the 2030 Agenda.Originality/Value (State of The Art): While research on green finance in Indonesia’s banking sector is growing, studies on Batam City are limited. Given Batam's strategic economic role, understanding local banks' adoption of green finance is essential. This study explores the attitudes, behaviors, and challenges of bank employees in Batam, offering insights into the factors influencing green finance adoption in the region. Keywords: bank, behavioral intention, green finance, internal measures, theory of planned behavior

Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology has transformed the way people conduct financial transactions, including the use of electronic money (e-money). However, despite this growth, many users discontinue using e-money over time, highlighting a gap in understanding the factors that sustain its usage. Various factors, such as customer innovativeness, ease of use, and perceived security, influence the adoption of e-money services. This study addresses this problem by identifying the influence of customer innovativeness, perceived behavioral control (PBC), and e-security on customer continuance intention to e-money usage (CCIEU). The study uses a descriptive method and a quantitative approach. Data was gathered through an online survey, where e-money users filled out questionnaires. The analysis was done using the PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) technique. The findings show that customer innovativeness has a positive impact on CCIEU, mediated by PBC. However, e-security does not have a strong effect on between the relationship between customer innovativeness and CCIEU. These findings provide useful insights for formulating strategies to enhance e-money adoption in society.

Abstract

This study aims to address a research gap by comprehensively analyzing the interactions and contributions of performance expectancy, self-efficacy, and customer satisfaction to Generation Z’s behavioral intention to adopt FinTech-based digital payments. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 198 respondents in Batam City from September to December 2024. The study employs the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework, incorporating customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The primary variables analyzed include performance expectancy, self-efficacy, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), supported by SmartPLS software, was used for data analysis. The results indicate that performance expectancy significantly affects both customer satisfaction and behavioral intention, while self-efficacy significantly affects only customer satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is shown to mediate the relationship between both performance expectancy and self-efficacy with behavioral intention.

Abstract

Banks as economic drivers in their own country have a high influence on encouraging environmentally friendly practices. It is due to the increasing damage to the environment in Indonesia. Before the 2010s, banks did not have enough awareness to carry out environmentally friendly practices included in their operational activities. In Indonesia, the government started to enforce green banking rules in 2012. Indonesia initiated green banking practices, which reached their peak in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study examines whether customers have understood the growth of green banking practices in Indonesia, the effects of banks' environmentally friendly practices on the loyalty of commercial bank customers, and whether awareness and knowledge of banks' green practices will have an impact on loyalty towards banks. This study examines the importance of implementing green banking due to the increasing awareness and high level of customer knowledge about the environment. This research is the first to be conducted in Batam City, examining green banking through the lens of the grand theory of rational choice. The rational choice theory will serve as the novelty for this research. Also, the green trust variable mediating green banking awareness and green banking knowledge affecting green banking loyalty will serve as the novelty of this research.

Abstract

The breadth of corporate governance boards encompasses a range of viewpoints and vigilant oversight in assessing management decisions and their impact on dividend strategies. This research seeks to explore how the inclusion of female board directors affects firm value through the dividend payout ratio, drawing on data from companies listed on the IDX High Dividend 20 stock index from 2018 to 2022. Financial and annual reports sourced from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the companies themselves serve as the basis for this investigation. Findings suggest that the involvement of women on boards influences the company's dividend payout ratio. However, there's no observed impact on firm value through this ratio. Interestingly, the presence of women in executive director roles is found to have a noteworthy, direct negative impact on firm value.
