Abstract

This article examines two main components in the school/madrasah accreditation instrument, namely graduate quality and the learning process. Accreditation is an external quality assurance mechanism that plays a crucial role in Indonesia’s national education system, implemented by the National Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasahs (BAN-S/M). Using a literature review approach and policy analysis, this article analyzes the standards, indicators, and instruments used to assess graduate quality and the learning process at the school and madrasah levels. The findings indicate that graduate quality is measured through the achievement of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies that reflect the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL), while the learning process is evaluated based on planning, implementation, and assessment practices that refer to the Process Standards. These two components are interconnected and jointly serve as key determinants of educational quality in schools/madrasahs. The article concludes that improving graduate quality can only be achieved through strengthening the learning process in a systematic, innovative manner that is oriented toward the holistic development of students’ potential.

Abstract

This literature review examines the role of norms, codes of ethics, and sanctions within the school accreditation system. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the study analyzes journals, books, regulations, and accreditation guidelines. The findings show that accreditation norms guide institutional behavior, codes of ethics ensure professionalism and transparency, and sanctions function as corrective measures for non-compliance. The integration of these elements strengthens the credibility, effectiveness, and sustainability of educational quality assurance. Strengthening ethical awareness and regulatory compliance remains essential for improving educational quality.

Abstract

Accreditation is a strategic instrument in the school system that serves to guarantee and control the quality of education nationally. This article aims to conceptually examine the urgency of accreditation in the school system by examining its basic concepts, objectives, benefits, and functions. The research employed a library research approach with qualitative-descriptive methods. Data were obtained from laws and regulations, specifically Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, accreditation policies and guidelines issued by the National Accreditation Board for Schools/Madrasahs (BAN-S/M), and scientific literature related to education quality assurance systems. The analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to synthesize various relevant concepts and regulations. The study results indicate that accreditation is a systematic and comprehensive assessment process of the eligibility and performance of educational units, resulting in a ranking (A, B, C, or not accredited). Conceptually, accreditation aims to provide an overview of school performance and ensure the eligibility of educational services. Its benefits are felt by various stakeholders, from schools, principals, teachers, the community, and the government, serving as a basis for guidance, development, and policymaking. Functionally, accreditation serves as a means of knowledge, public accountability, and continuous quality development and improvement. The implementation of the performance-based Educational Unit Accreditation Instrument (IASP 2020) emphasizes a paradigm shift from compliance-based to performance-based, thus increasingly orienting accreditation toward the quality of learning processes and outcomes. Thus,accreditation is a strategic instrument in strengthening the national education quality assurance system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis norma, kode etik, dan sanksi dalam pelaksanaan akreditasi sekolah/madrasah. Akreditasi tidak hanya merupakan mekanisme penilaian eksternal untuk menentukan kelayakan satuan pendidikan berdasarkan standar nasional pendidikan, tetapi juga menjadi instrumen penjaminan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka. Data diperoleh dari sumber sekunder berupa buku, jurnal ilmiah, regulasi, dan dokumen akademik yang relevan dengan akreditasi serta penjaminan mutu pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penelusuran literatur, seleksi sumber, dan pengkajian dokumen, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa norma dalam akreditasi berfungsi sebagai landasan etis yang mengatur perilaku seluruh pihak yang terlibat, meliputi kejujuran, kemandirian, profesionalisme, keadilan, kesejajaran, keterbukaan, tanggung jawab, dan menjaga kerahasiaan. Kode etik berfungsi sebagai pedoman moral dan profesional bagi lembaga akreditasi, asesor, dan sekolah/madrasah dalam menjaga objektivitas serta menghindari konflik kepentingan. Sanksi berfungsi sebagai mekanisme pengendalian untuk menegakkan norma dan kode etik, sekaligus menjaga integritas, kredibilitas, dan akuntabilitas sistem akreditasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa norma, kode etik, dan sanksi merupakan tiga unsur yang saling berkaitan dan saling menguatkan dalam pelaksanaan akreditasi sebagai instrumen penjaminan mutu pendidikan yang kredibel dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

School/madrasah accreditation is one of the key instruments in Indonesia’s education quality assurance system. This study aims to analyze school/madrasah accreditation policies within the national education quality assurance system, identify the principles underlying their implementation, and describe the role of educational institutions in the accreditation process. This research employs a literature review method by examining various regulations, scientific journals, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that accreditation policies in Indonesia have a strong legal foundation, ranging from Law No. 20 of 2003 to the latest IASP 2020 instrument. The implementation of accreditation is based on the principles of objectivity, comprehensiveness, fairness, transparency, accountability, professionalism, as well as meaningfulness, inclusivity, and contextuality. Educational institutions play an active and strategic role in the accreditation process, ranging from self-preparation and the conduct of site visits to follow-up on accreditation results as part of continuous quality improvement efforts. Accreditation is not merely an administrative process but serves as a means for reflection and comprehensive improvement of educational quality.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of teaching modules as instructional tools in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Teaching modules are a transformation of lesson plans, known as Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), which function not only as administrative documents but also as flexible, contextual, and student-centered learning guides. This article uses a library research method by examining and analyzing various relevant written sources, including books, journal articles, educational regulations, and previous research findings. The findings show that teaching modules have several characteristics, namely self-instructional, self-contained, stand-alone, adaptive, and user-friendly. In addition, teaching modules consist of general information, core components, and appendices. Effective teaching module development should consider diagnostic assessment, student characteristics, the Pancasila Student Profile, and the principles of being essential, engaging, meaningful, challenging, relevant, contextual, and continuous. Therefore, teaching modules serve as important instruments for teachers in designing innovative, differentiated, meaningful learning that meets students’ needs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the main components of the madrasa accreditation instrument, particularly those related to teacher quality and school management. The research employed a literature study approach by collecting data from various sources, including books, scientific journals, official regulations, and previous studies relevant to educational accreditation. The collected data were analyzed descriptively through review and interpretation processes to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of teacher quality and school management in improving the quality of madrasa education. The findings indicate that accreditation serves as an important instrument for educational quality assurance because it evaluates various aspects of educational implementation comprehensively. Teacher quality is considered a key indicator, covering academic qualifications, teaching performance, and professional development. Meanwhile, school management includes aspects such as planning, leadership, human resource management, evaluation, and school culture. These two aspects are closely interconnected, as effective school management can support the improvement of teacher professionalism and the quality of learning. Therefore, continuous improvement in teacher quality and the strengthening of school management are essential factors in supporting successful accreditation and enhancing the overall quality of madrasa education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis langkah-langkah sistematis dalam menyusun borang akreditasi sekolah/madrasah yang efektif dan berkualitas. Akreditasi merupakan instrumen penting dalam penjaminan mutu pendidikan yang dilaksanakan oleh Badan Akreditasi Nasional Sekolah/Madrasah (BAN-S/M) untuk menilai kelayakan satuan pendidikan berdasarkan delapan standar nasional pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai dokumen resmi BAN-S/M, peraturan perundangan terkait pendidikan, serta literatur ilmiah dari jurnal dan buku yang relevan dengan topik akreditasi pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyusunan borang akreditasi yang berkualitas memerlukan pemahaman mendalam terhadap instrumen akreditasi, pembentukan tim yang solid, pengumpulan data yang valid dan sistematis, dokumentasi yang lengkap, serta verifikasi internal yang menyeluruh. Temuan penting lainnya mengindikasikan bahwa komitmen kepala sekolah, kapasitas sumber daya manusia, dan dukungan pemangku kepentingan menjadi faktor kritis dalam menentukan kualitas borang akreditasi. Sekolah/madrasah yang melakukan persiapan matang dalam penyusunan borang cenderung memperoleh nilai akreditasi yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan sekolah yang kurang mempersiapkan diri. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi kepala sekolah, operator, dan tim akreditasi dalam menyusun borang yang memenuhi standar kualitas secara optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara mutu lulusan dan proses pembelajaran dalam sistem akreditasi sekolah/madrasah serta mengevaluasi efektivitas instrumen akreditasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah masih adanya kesenjangan antara standar akreditasi dengan implementasi proses pembelajaran di lapangan yang berdampak pada mutu lulusan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas sekolah/madrasah yang telah mengikuti proses akreditasi, dengan sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, dokumentasi, dan analisis instrumen akreditasi yang mengacu pada Instrumen Akreditasi Satuan Pendidikan (IASP 2020). Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan korelasi untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kualitas proses pembelajaran dan mutu lulusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu lulusan. Sekolah/madrasah dengan kualitas pembelajaran yang baik cenderung memiliki capaian mutu lulusan yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, implementasi akreditasi berbasis kinerja terbukti mampu mendorong peningkatan budaya mutu, penguatan manajemen sekolah, dan perbaikan proses pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan. Namun demikian, penelitian juga menemukan adanya keterbatasan instrumen akreditasi dalam mengukur aspek karakter dan keterampilan abad ke-21 secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan teori penjaminan mutu pendidikan dan praktik akreditasi sekolah/madrasah melalui penguatan hubungan antara proses pembelajaran dan mutu lulusan sebagai indikator utama kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Desain pembelajaran merupakan komponen fundamental yang menentukan keberhasilan proses pendidikan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Namun demikian, berbagai permasalahan masih ditemukan dalam praktik pembelajaran PAI, seperti dominasi metode ceramah, rendahnya keterlibatan peserta didik, serta kurang optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi dan media pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep perumusan strategi dalam desain pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam serta mengidentifikasi langkah-langkah strategis yang dapat diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber ilmiah berupa buku, artikel jurnal, dan dokumen akademik yang relevan dengan desain pembelajaran dan strategi pembelajaran PAI. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi dalam desain pembelajaran PAI harus disusun secara sistematis melalui analisis kebutuhan peserta didik, perumusan tujuan pembelajaran, pemilihan metode dan media yang sesuai, serta pelaksanaan evaluasi yang berkelanjutan. Strategi yang dirancang secara tepat dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran, keterlibatan peserta didik, serta pencapaian tujuan pendidikan Islam secara komprehensif. Oleh karena itu, guru PAI dituntut memiliki kompetensi dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif, inovatif, dan relevan dengan perkembangan zaman.
