Abstract

Traffic accident, particularly two-wheeled vehicles, is a problem for the Government, especially the Resort Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas Polres). The factor that causes the traffic accident incident is divided into three types, namely human factor, vehicle factor, and road or environment factor. The human factor is the most common factor for an accident. Fatigue factor that causes someone to feel sleepy while driving often results in a traffic accident. Based on the problem, the researcher wanted to create a technology innovation of a motorized driving safety system in the form of a helmet. The researcher made an innovation of a helmet that can detect drowsiness through the driver's eye blink duration. The drowsiness will be detected by using a camera sensor. The camera sensor used was Open MV camera. The method used in detecting sleepy drivers was the eye detection analysis method. The method enable detection based on the data of the duration of eye condition when it is closed and open. The closed eye has a low RBG mean value of 110-113 and an RBG median value of 99-109. Whereas opened eye has a higher RGB mean value of 179-206 and RGB median value of 178-206. The result of the research showed that someone's sleepy condition occurred when closing their eyes for more than 0.4 seconds to 4 seconds. The helmet is also equipped with GPS to monitor the position in the event of an accident as an emergency response effort.

Abstract

Based on data from the Ministry of Health and the Central Bureau of Statistics, it is known that the number of people with disabilities, especially the visually impaired, is 1-1.5% of the total 237 million Indonesian population, which is around 3.75 million blind people. A tool often used to accommodate them is a cane used to feel the ground if there are downgrade and obstructions in front of them. In this study, researchers developed the previous research on blind cane using a 2 axis servo. It was classified using the Fuzzy Logic programming method, which was processed using the Arduino Nano 328P microcontroller. The results of the test on respondents with visual impairments were that they feel accommodating with the tool because the cane users can easily find obstructions with the Navigation Instruction so that they can easily avoid Static obstructions (Static Objects).

Abstract

ABSTRAKTomat ranti merupakan jenis tomat yang memiliki kandungan likopen serta vitamin c yang lebih tinggi dibanding dengan jenis tomat yang lain. Tomat ranti merupakan salah satu jenis buah klimaterik dengan umur simpan ± 3-7 hari. Medanmagnet ELF merupakan salah satu jenis dari gelombang elektromagnetik yang bersifat Non-Ionizing dan telah dinyatakan dalam beberapa penelitian dalam bidang pangan, pertanian dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan medan magnet ELF dengan intensitas 600 µT, 1000 µT, dan 1500 µT terhadap perubahan nilai massa jenis tomat ranti pada kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan sampel yang digunakan yaitu tomat ranti. Sampel dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok kontrol dan 45 kelompok eksperimen. Pengukuran nilai massa jenis dilakukan pad ahari ke-2, ke-4, ke-6, dan ke-8 setelah pemaparan. Hasil dari penelitian menunujukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok eksperimen. Intensitas dan waktu pemaparan yang paling efektif dalam penelitian ini yaitu intensitas 600 dengan lama waktu 100 menit. Kata kunci: tomat ranti; massa jenis; medan magnet; elf; pembusukan. ABSTRACTRanti tomato is a type of tomato that contains lycopene and vitamin C which is higher than other types of tomatoes. Ranti tomato is a type of climacteric fruit with a shelf life of ± 3-7 days. The ELF magnetic field is one type of electromagnetic wave that is Non-Ionizing and has been stated in several studies in the fields of food, agriculture and so on. This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to the ELF magnetic field with an intensity of 600 µT, 1000 µT, and 1500 µT on changes in the density value of ranti tomatoes in the control group and the experimental group. The research design used is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the sample used is tomato ranti. The sample was divided into 5 control groups and 45 experimental groups. Density values were measured on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th days after exposure. The results of the study showed a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. The most effective intensity and exposure time in this study was the intensity of 600 with a duration of 100 minutes. Keywords: ranti tomato; density; magnetic field; elf; decay.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Energi listrik merupakan hal yang penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari, baik dari sektor rumah tangga, industri, maupun penerangan jalan.  Namun, tidak semua daerah di Indonesia memiliki aliran listrik untuk mendukung kebutuhan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalsis keuntungan dan kendala pemanfaatan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTMH). Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review, yaitu dengan membandingkan beberapa hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan bahwa PLTMH memiliki berbagai keuntungan baik dari sektor potensi ketersediaan alat dan sumber daya, ekonomi, letak geografis, serta pengelolaan. Selain itu, dalam pemanfaatan PLTMH juga terdapat kendala, yaitu daya listrik yang dihasilkan berskala kecil. PLTMH memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai alternatif sumber energi listrik, khususnya di kawasan pedesaan atau wilayah terpencil yang memiliki potensi ketersediaan air melimpah.     Kata  kunci—Energi Terbarukan, Mikrohidro, PLTMH   ABSTRACT   Electrical energy is important to meet daily needs, both from the household sector, industry, and street lighting. However, not all regions in Indonesia have electricity to support daily needs. This research aims to analyze the advantages and constraints of utilizing Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTMH). The method used is literature review, which is by comparing some of the results of previous research.Based on the results of the study, it was found that PLTMH has various advantages both from the potential sector of availability of tools and resources, economy, geographical location, and management.In addition, in the use of PLTMH there are also obstacles, namely electricity generated on a small scale. PLTMH has the potential to be used as an alternative source of electrical energy, especially in rural areas or remote areas that have the potential for abundant water availability.   Keywords—Microhydro, PLTMH, Renewable Energy

Abstract

Gelombang elektromagnetik merupakan salah satu materi yang perlu diketahui oleh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika, Sebagian mahasiswa belum memahami konsep gelombang elektromagnetik terutama pada sinar inframerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa Pendidikan fisika mengenai konsep gelombang elektromagnetik pada materi sinar inframerah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui metode suervey dengan responden mahasiswa pendidikan fisika Universitas Jember. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner google form dengan responden 40 mahasiswa secara random. Berdasarkan data dan analisis yang dilakukan dapat diambil sebuah kesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa Pendidikan fisika memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai sinar inframerah sebagai gelombang elektromagnetik.

Abstract

Introduction: Mobile phones are currently undergoing development, with a variety of conveniences that they can do. Cell phones, or what is known as smartphones or smartphones at this time, produce electromagnetic wave radiation that affects the health of the human body. Aims: Knowing the effect of mobile phone electromagnetic radiation on human brain health. Method: Research using narrative-type Literature Review, journals, and books nationally and internationally. Electromagnetic radiation from mobile phone use affects several human health disorders. Results: Indications of these health problems can be in the form of tumors and cancer in the brain, which can cause stress, and disruption of sperm, gliomas, and red blood cells. Interference caused by the electromagnetic radiation of mobile phones to health is still a polemic. Conclusion: Electromagnetic radiation from mobile phone use can potentially cause some health disorders.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kendaraan bermotor merupakan faktor penyumbang polusi udara yang berperan tinggi. Salah satu polutan yang dihasilkan kedaraan bermotor adalah CO2, sehingga peningkatan kendaraan bermotor akan mendorong banyaknya potensi emisi CO2 dan mencemari udara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis potensi emisi CO2 dari berbagai jenis kendaraan bermotor. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi langsung terhadap jumlah dari masing masing kendaraan bermotor selama tiga puluh menit serta studi literatur untuk mengetahui seberapa besar CO2 yang dihasilkan oleh setiap jenis kendaraan bermotor. Studi literatur yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor emisi dan persamaan sesuai dengan IPCC 2006. Hasil dan pembahasan didapat dari pengambilan data (n) jumlah kendaraan bermotor kend.30 menit-1, (FE) faktor emisi g.liter-1, (K) konsumsi bahan bakar liter.km-1 dan perhitungan potensi emisi CO2. Berdasarkan pengambilan data dan perhitugan yang diperoleh menunjukkan jenis kendaraan bermotor  berupa sepeda motor dan mobil ialah penyumbang terbanyak dengan potensi emisi CO2 sebesar 67,568.26 (g.30 menit-1.km-1) dan mobil sebesar 63,335.30 (g.30 menit-1.km-1). Kata kunci: emisi CO2, kendaraan bermotor, polusi udara ABSTRACT Motorized vehicles are a major contributor to air pollution. One of the pollutants produced by motorized vehicles is CO2, so the increase in motorized vehicles will encourage a lot of potential for CO2 emissions and pollute the air. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential for CO2 emissions from various types of motorized vehicles. The data collection method was carried out by direct observation of the number of each motorized vehicle for thirty minutes as well as a literature study to determine how much CO2 is produced by each type of motorized vehicle. Literature study was carried out to determine emission factors and equations in accordance with IPCC 2006. Results and discussions were obtained from data collection (n) number of motorized vehicles each 30 minutes, (FE) emission factor g.liter-1, (K) material consumption liter.km-1 and calculation of potential CO2 emissions. Based on data collection and calculations obtained, it shows that the types of motorized vehicles are motorcycles and cars that contribute the most with CO2 emission potential of 67,568.26 (g.30minutes-1.km-1) and cars of 63,335.30 (g.30menit-1.km-1). Keywords: CO2 emissions, motor vehicles, air pollution

Abstract

Fruits are included in foodstuffs that provide many benefits for the body, but fruits have a relatively short shelf life. ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) magnetic field radiation is radiation with a low frequency of around 0–300 Hz with non-ionizing properties or no effect on the atoms of a material it is subjected to and non-thermal or does not cause an increase in temperature when interacting with a material. In addition, Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) magnetic field radiation can be used for food tenacity. This study aims to determine how much influence ELF radiation has on the shelf life of various types of fruits. The method used in this study is the journal review method, the number of journals reviewed is 11 journals. The journal in question can be in the form of scientific articles and other journals that support and are relevant to the research title. The results of this study indicate that exposure to the ELF magnetic field can maintain the content of vitamin C, maintain the physical condition of the fruits, and increase the shelf life of fruits by maintaining pH by slowing down or increasing the pH, this is done by killing acid-forming microorganisms, In addition, exposure to the ELF magnetic field can reduce the respiration rate and the rate of ethylene production in fruits, this has an impact on extending the shelf life of fruits. The intensity and duration of exposure to the ELF magnetic field must be adjusted to the type and character of the fruit itself. Thus, it can be concluded that exposure to Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) magnetic fields are able to maintain vitamin C content, maintain the physical condition of fruits, and increase the shelf life of fruits.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that has quite a lot of sunlight, so that it is very close to sunlight that cannot be used properly. Sunlight can be used as solar panels. Solar panels are a tool that is able to convert sunlight into electrical energy, solar panels themselves can take advantage of various fields of agriculture, one of which is agriculture. The use of energy derived from solar panels can increase agricultural yields. In tropical areas such as Indonesia, which has two rainy and dry seasons, it has abundant sunlight. This study aims to determine what potential can be produced by solar panels to support energy in agriculture. The research method used in this article is the journal review method by conducting literacy of national and international articles, with the number of journals reviewed as many as 25 journals, the journals analyzed and reviewed are journals that have the subject matter according to the research title, the results of the research will be explained in descriptive form and presented in tabular form. The results obtained after reviewing several articles that contain several uses of solar panels in agriculture that can be used for spraying, fertilizing, lighting, drying, irrigation, setting PH and temperature. The use of solar panels has many benefits for farmers because it has several advantages, namely it can save operational costs, is environmentally friendly, efficient, and can be used in the long term.

Abstract

The problems that are often encountered are the problem of garbage or waste from human activities, these activities include households, agriculture, factories, and others. The purpose of this research is to reduce waste or waste that is really needed at this time whether it is used for other alternative sources that are environmentally friendly, so that waste or waste from agricultural activities does not continue to increase, organic fertilizer and briquettes or charcoal can be used. In this study using the method of literature review from various international journals. The journal used starts from the past 10 years, namely 2012-2022 and searches for it via Google Scolar. Keywords used when searching journals on Google Scolar such as "agricultural waste processing", "briquette management", and "agricultural waste". Garbage is the remains of human activities that are not reused but can produce a useful new product. There are various types of waste or waste, one of which is agricultural waste which can produce products that are beneficial to the environment or environmentally friendly. Agricultural waste is the part of agricultural plants from the top or shoots to the remaining stems after harvesting activities. Utilization of agricultural waste is very useful for humans, the environment, and other living things. One of the uses of this agricultural waste is as briquettes which are a new alternative source that is environmentally friendly because it comes from various plant residues produced during harvesting activities. Most of the agricultural waste comes from rice. So, the existence of agricultural waste can be used as a new alternative source that is environmentally friendly and inexpensive.
